I’m dissatisfied with the front desk service and the system.

We checked in around noon to avoid the crowds, but there was no explanation at all, and later we ended up with many questions like “What do we do now?” and “What about meals?” Even after checking in, we were told that the key would be handed over from 3:00 PM, so we had to go back to the front desk just to pick it up. However, the front desk was busy handling check-ins and we had to wait a long time. Wouldn’t it make sense to have a separate counter just for key pickup?? Although it was stated that guests could enter Nasu Highland Park through the back entrance, when we asked, we were told to go around to the Nasu Highland Park parking lot instead, which was inconvenient. At the Onsen front desk, I waited in line for a long time to buy drinks, but when I finally got to the register and put my items down, I was inexplicably told, “Huh? Please line up.” It made no sense—I even had to ask someone behind me for help. It was extremely unpleasant. As for the cottage itself, the open-air bath was nice, but the bedroom smelled musty (like mold), so I think cleaning should be more thorough. At checkout there was a very long line; however, if you pay in advance there is a dedicated checkout counter and it goes smoothly—so I recommend prepayment.

A private villa’s unique charm comes with some inconveniences—advance preparation is essential!

We chose this new, spotless cottage/villa because it has an open-air bath in addition to the indoor bath. Plenty of space even for two families (six people) to stay comfortably! For a two-night stay, we needed to clean the bath, and it was great that we could borrow cleaning supplies from the front desk. If I had to ask for one thing, I wish there had been a basket in the bathroom for used towels. Also, there are no trash bins in each Room, so if you prefer having one or don’t want to walk to the kitchen every time to throw things away, bringing a few large plastic bags would be handy. You’ll also need your own skincare items. Dinner was fun with BBQ and had a great atmosphere! Checkout gets extremely crowded, so it’s better to pay in advance.

The Facility and surroundings of this private villa rental were excellent.

The private villa we chose was wonderful in terms of the building, Facilities, and surrounding environment. However, I was concerned about stains on the toilet bowl, and although we specifically chose a villa with a private dog run, it was overgrown with weeds and hard to say it was well maintained, which was very disappointing. In that sense, it did not feel worth the cost. At breakfast and dinner, the restaurant did not feel relaxing because there were many families visiting the park. One reason was that children were running back and forth between the buffet and their seats, so next time I would like to have meals served in our Room. It was especially disappointing that the on-site restaurant felt so out of place given how great the Accommodation itself was. Other than that, we had a very moving two-night stay—the birdsong around the Accommodation was beautiful.

    Check-in: 5:00 PM…

When I made a Reservation with my arrival time undecided, the check-in time was set to 5:00 PM, and I was told I couldn’t enter until cleaning was finished. Since I arrived before 3:00 PM and it was raining, there was nothing to do and it was difficult. When I went to the front desk around 4:00 PM, they said cleaning had finished earlier than expected and that I could enter the Room... The Room was clean, and it had a private Onsen, so it was great to be able to use it whenever I wanted. However, the refrigerator was completely empty—I would have liked at least some water even if it were paid. For the price, there were very few amenities, and having to go all the way to the front desk for them was inconvenient. It would be nice if instant coffee and water were provided. This is an Accommodation that is truly challenging when it rains. Meals are buffet-style, but if you have a dog you are seated on the terrace, so getting to your seat while being rained on was tough. You need to reserve your dining time as soon as you arrive; even though I did so around 2:30 PM, only 7:30 PM or later was available for dinner, which seemed strange. It was a learning experience for choosing an Accommodation in the future.

    Ukulele Girls’ Getaway

This time, we chose this cottage so we could play the ukulele in the Room. It was our first time staying at such a wonderful Accommodation, and we were truly impressed!! Because it’s relatively new, everything was excellent—to the point that we felt like staying two nights next time. We were completely satisfied! The bedroom was spacious and relaxing; it really soothed us. Highly recommended for any occasion!

    With my grandchildren

I made a Reservation right away because there was only one Room available during Golden Week, without checking the details. The Room was new, very clean, and comfortable. However, there were only one bath towel and one face towel per person. Since the property has a sauna, it was inconvenient to use the same towel for both the sauna and the bath; I would have appreciated at least two face towels per person. There were also no towels in the toilet, kitchen, or wash area. We used several sheets of kitchen paper towels instead, which was inconvenient. Was this an oversight?

The cottage had a modern design and was spacious—luxuriously so for a family of four. It had a great atmosphere and was very clean, and the kids were thrilled. The sofa seated about three people, so it would be nice to have one that can seat one more person. (There were floor cushions, but with limited mobility it was difficult to sit on the floor.) The TV had Netflix, which made our child—who had been wanting to watch BTS concerts nonstop—very happy. Since we stayed in a cottage, having to drive over near the front desk for meals and checkout felt a bit inconvenient, especially because it was raining. My child has food allergies and I informed them by phone in advance, but after dinner started a staff member hurried over to explain the allergy labeling, and we still had to go check the labels at the buffet dishes ourselves. That was a little disappointing. The BBQ pork from Nasu was very tasty, but I would have appreciated better beef. Overall, though, it was great. It’s very close to Nasu Highland Park and convenient, so I’d like to stay again someday.

It was a lovely and clean cottage!

We stayed at a private cottage that allows pets. It was our first time using it, but the cottage was exactly as shown in the photos—new, clean, with large windows—and our whole family was delighted. Since we opted for accommodation without meals, we bought local ingredients from nearby roadside stations and supermarkets to enjoy a simple barbecue. The large hot plate provided was very helpful! The yard had sturdy fencing, allowing our beloved dog to run freely like in a dog park, and he seemed so happy. The sunrise was truly magical and breathtaking! On the downside, although it might be unavoidable, there were energy-saving labels posted all over the room which made it hard to relax. Additionally, unlike other accommodations, dogs were not allowed in the bedroom. This meant we had to keep an adjacent room closed off during our stay and couldn’t enjoy conversations with family members in the living room while lying on the bed. Furthermore, when we asked about entry procedures for Highland Park's candle event (which is free for guests) during check-in, we were told it required payment instead. At check-out time, there was also an issue where they tried to charge us again for accommodation fees that had already been paid through the reservation site. Although they eventually corrected this after rechecking their records—which took some time—they simply handed us a receipt with a brief "we’ve changed it," leaving us feeling unsettled. The cottage itself is truly wonderful as an accommodation facility; however, I felt disappointed that they didn’t even send us off with a simple “thank you for staying.” It could have made our stay much more pleasant if they did so!

    It was comfortable!

Our first glamping experience was perfect here! The food was delicious, and since we have children, choosing a Room with a shower and toilet was convenient even in the cold winter. It was also great being close to the campfire! The package included tickets to Rindo Lake Family Farm and Nasu Highland Park, which made it a great deal.

    The service does not...

The service does not match the price. The buffet meals are not tasty at all. The cottages are located 4 kilometers away from the front desk by car, which is extremely inconvenient. Additionally, the parking lot cannot accommodate enough cars, making it difficult to park even for check-in at the front desk. It feels like more effort was put into taking attractive photos to draw people in rather than providing a thoughtful experience. The cottages are extremely cold as there is no underfloor heating. Overall, it feels like a price of around 30,000 yen would be more appropriate for what is offered here. I would not consider staying again.

It was a spacious and very beautiful villa.

A beautiful villa with a spacious living room featuring a fireplace, a large open-air bath, and four bedrooms (with eight beds), making it perfect for the whole family to enjoy. As it is a relatively new property, the interior was very clean and well-maintained. Although only the No Meals Included Plan was available, we were able to add dinner and breakfast, so meals were not an issue. Additionally, it was very convenient as it was just 1-2 minutes by car from the front desk and restaurant. The only issue we encountered was that draining water simultaneously from both the open-air bath and bathtub exceeded drainage capacity, causing water to overflow into the washroom. We had to quickly clean up but realized this could be avoided by draining them separately—this would have been helpful if noted in advance. Our grandchildren loved this villa as well, so we definitely hope to stay here again!

Looking forward to the birthday celebration!

My daughter booked a cottage where we could stay with our dog for my birthday. We arrived at 6 PM, headed to the cottage, and entered the room in complete darkness, unsure which cottage was ours. It would have been helpful if there were at least some streetlights. We wanted to relax that day, so we requested in-room dining. However, unlike the photos, it was a shabu-shabu course, and there were no cooking utensils. The meat was disappointing and did not match the price of the accommodation. The room itself was nice, but the sheets were torn, there was a brush left by a previous guest between the sofa cushions, and there were water stains on the bathroom chair and faucet. These issues need improvement. We were really looking forward to staying at a facility where we could stay with our dog (especially a large dog), so it was disappointing.

    It was a wonderful trip!

The accommodation and staff service were excellent! We were very satisfied! Thank you so much! When we mentioned that our child is small and we could only have dinner at 8 PM due to the reservation, they kindly accommodated us. We truly appreciated their kindness! However, there is one point for improvement: the cleaning and tidying of the room. There were handprints on the window, and a toothbrush from a previous guest was left behind. Since everything else was wonderful, it felt like a missed opportunity, so I wanted to mention it. We definitely want to visit again! Thank you for making this trip so special!

    New, spacious, and comfortable

A trendy single-story cottage. The space, design, and furniture were lovely and comfortable. There were even cages and dishes provided for dogs, making the stay enjoyable. Although I overlooked this detail, while towels were provided as amenities, there were no pajamas available, so you may need to pack extra items. Depending on the location of your cottage, the front desk, restaurant, and large public bath might be about a 5-minute drive away by car, which could be inconvenient. The roads are dark at night, so navigation is necessary—and drinking alcohol isn't an option if you're driving. However, overall rating: 5 stars! Single-story cottages are truly charming; it's a place that makes you want to book a Multiple Night Stay!

    First-time user.

We stayed with our dog. The Room was clean and well-maintained. The meals were delicious. However, the lint roller was used up, leaving only the core. The response from the female security staff was very disappointing. Even though cars parked illegally in front of the entrance were an issue, when our car was waiting for parking, she blew a loud whistle repeatedly and shouted out our car's license plate number, saying it’s causing a line of cars because of us. Shouldn't she have addressed the illegally parked cars instead? I was shocked by her behavior and believe she should be properly trained. What could have been a fun trip turned into an unpleasant memory because of that security staff member.

    I had a relaxing time.

We stayed with 8 adults. The building was quiet and clean, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. The air conditioning was already on upon arrival, which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom amenities were comparable to those of a business hotel. Since someone mentioned their hair felt rough, it might be better for those concerned to bring their own products. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable! We brought our own barbecue supplies and appreciated being able to use the balcony attached to the room—it was especially helpful in the hot season. Check-out was convenient as we could settle payments online in advance and only needed to return the key afterward. Overall, we were very satisfied! We would love to stay here again in the future.

    It was excellent.

The Room was clean, the dog run was spacious, and we had a great time!! We were saying, "Let's definitely come again!" while enjoying our stay. However, since the check-in time was 4:00 PM, it would be even better if it could be a little earlier! Still, the whole family was very satisfied!

The sauna in the guest room was out of order...

The sauna in the room was broken, and they tried to compensate with a discount of around 4,000 yen. We specifically chose this room because it included a sauna, so we were very disappointed. The room had mold on the futon and dust, making it a room we would never have chosen without the sauna. Additionally, during the barbecue, there were issues such as the fire not staying lit, making this stay full of noticeable faults and inconveniences.

    Thank you for your patronage.

We stayed at this accommodation because we wanted to visit Nasu Highland Park. Unfortunately, despite it being March, the weather forecast predicted snow, and the weather was not great. This time, we traveled with our dog. There were many cottages where you could enjoy BBQs outside, and it seemed popular among families with elementary school-aged children. Many of the staff were from overseas, and there were some discrepancies in explanations provided. As for amenities, you take only what you need yourself; however, while there were shower caps available, there was no facial cleanser or lotion provided—this was disappointing. The meals included an abundance of shabu-shabu meat that we couldn’t finish eating. The vegetables were plentiful and delicious as well.

The response to facility malfunctions is the worst.

This was my first time using this service, and the staff's customer service was so terrible that I never want to use it again. The front desk staff were mostly foreigners, and I couldn't understand what they were saying at all. When I asked questions, they couldn't answer and had to go get a Japanese staff member, causing congestion at the front desk during check-in. When checking in, I was informed that due to freezing conditions, there was no hot water in the open-air bath because workers were doing maintenance there. However, when we got our key and went to the Room, not only was no one working around our Room or at the open-air bath; when we peeked into it, it looked like work on the pipes had been left unfinished. When I called the front desk about this issue, they said "The work is finished. The hot water should be available." but didn't provide any instructions on how to get hot water running. When asked "How do you turn on the hot water?" they instructed us to press a button for automatic operation after turning on power for heater—but even following these steps didn’t result in any running hot water; instead an error message appeared from panel of heater. I called reception again: "We'll send someone right away." At this point frustration levels were high yet despite waiting patiently no one arrived—not even after 20 minutes! What does 'right away' mean? Minutes? Hours? Unable wait longer without action taken by them prompted another call back down whereupon being told “They’re already heading over now so should arrive soon.” Isn’t something wrong here?? Sure enough driving distance between villa & reception takes roughly six minutes but what have they been doing since initial call made?? Was promise of immediate dispatch just lie?? Another twenty minutes passed post-call still nobody showed up…clearly hadn’t dispatched anyone towards us! While frozen pipes preventing flow isn’t necessarily fault of Facility itself if delays expected reaching Rooms then communicating such would allow guests occupy themselves otherwise while waiting—what’s most infuriating though are lies about immediate dispatches followed by false reassurances leading wasted time spent idly awaiting assistance which never arrives promptly anyway! Furthermore upon eventual arrival attitude displayed by attending staff member unacceptable too: despite previous claims regarding automatic operation via heater suddenly informed need manually turn tap located beneath lid atop outdoor bath before obtaining desired result—all delivered matter-of-factly as though common knowledge expected from guests?! Are we somehow responsible here?! No proper apology offered leaving sour taste behind—hospitality level zero!

The worst Hotel in every aspect of life

It was a severe cold wave, but my son and his girlfriend used the property. The snow was not cleared, and they couldn't reach the cottage. Even when they got stuck on the way, they were told to return to the front desk. No help was provided. When they returned to the front desk, it was also not cleared of snow, and other guests were stuck as well. When we checked with the hotel, they said they cleared the snow in the morning. In the end, my son and his girlfriend had to use a different room, but there was no apology. They said it was because it was a room of the same price. They risked their lives and waited in the cold snow until another room was ready. The response was terrible. I called to verify the facts, but they said some guests could reach the cottage. I saw it on a video call, but you couldn't enter without bringing your own shovel and clearing the snow. It wasn't about the room being dirty; it was a property where you couldn't stay without risking your life. I will never go again and won't recommend it to anyone. The staff's response was also not good. When I told this story to an acquaintance, they said that when they stayed in the summer, three bats were flying around. They were made to wait outside in the hot summer, and the bats were caught with a bug net. I think bats carry various germs. They had small children with them. In the photos, it looks clean and friendly, but for me, it was the worst hotel experience of my life. If you go in winter, you should replace your car with a four-wheel drive and bring a shovel when you stay.

    It was clean and comfortable.

It was snowing and very cold during check-in, but I was grateful that the Room was very warm with the heating. The plumbing was clean, and the kitchen was easy to use, allowing me to cook and enjoy meals at a leisurely pace. The bedding was fluffy, and I slept well. Next time, I would like to visit during the summer season. The staff at the front desk were also very courteous. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was excellent.

We used it for our first family trip after welcoming a new dog. Until now, we have been to many pet-friendly hotels, ryokans, and pensions, but we never considered renting a villa. We wanted to travel at the beginning of the year, and when we searched, we found a plan. We thought anywhere would be fine as long as we could go with our pet, but it was better than we imagined. We were able to relax and unwind with our family and dog. The facility was lovely and clean, and the meals were excellent. The breakfast buffet was also good. Our family, and even the dog, were very happy. It was a great New Year. Thank you very much. We want to go again soon.

    Regarding Inquiry Handling

It was my first time planning to stay with a pet, so I was consulting about meal times through the website, but it was not communicated well via email, and I was not in a good mood at check-in. If you cannot check emails, it would be better to clearly explain that inquiries can only be made by phone. As a cottage with a dog run, it was very good, but I don't think I will repeat.

There is insufficient explanation from the front desk to the cottage.

Amidst the year-end cold wave, we arrived at the front desk in the evening. We were handed three printouts and received various explanations. We were particularly concerned about the route to the cottage, but one of the printouts included a Google Map and a QR code, with the only explanation about the road near the cottage being "You can go straight here." As the sun set and the snow continued to fall, we scanned the map with the QR code, which showed a 24-minute journey from the front desk! 24 minutes from here?! The map on the printout we received also, for some reason, included walking directions, making it hard to read, so we followed the smartphone navigation, a marvel of modern technology, to the cottage. The road had ups and downs, and at some points, it became so narrow that we couldn't pass oncoming cars. Snow piled up, and there were a few cars stuck on the roadside. Our car was a 4WD with proper winter tires, so we managed to keep going, but just before reaching the cottage, we even encountered a deer. We arrived with a sense of anxiety, fearing we might get stranded. Why did this happen? It seems that the shortest side road from the prefectural road to the cottage was recognized as impassable by Google. If that had been explained to us, it would have been completely different. As for the cottage, it was clean and really easy to use, and everyone agreed that they would like to stay again, which is the only regret. We ended up taking a 24-minute detour to reach a place that could have been reached in 7 minutes. Also, although I think the parking space and the entrance to the cottage were cleared of snow, by the time we arrived, another 10-15 cm had accumulated due to the continuous snowfall, so it would have been nice to have snow-clearing tools available. We are used to shoveling snow as we come from a snowy region. Overall, we were very satisfied. We definitely want to stay again, but next time during a snow-free season. By the way, as a side note, don't underestimate Nasu in winter. There were several people who came with summer tires, which is a suicidal act. If one car gets stuck on an uphill, a negative chain reaction occurs where the cars behind it also can't climb. It becomes a huge inconvenience, so please be careful. You'll earn everyone's disapproval. Even if it's not snowing, the roads are slippery in the cold mornings and evenings. Just for your reference.
