    A wonderful space to relax and unwind.

    I felt a little uneasy on the way up into the mountains, but once we arrived it was a truly wonderful space—like an adults-only hideaway—and the staff were very kind and made us feel comfortable. The complimentary drinks were exceptionally well provided, and the meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We had a thoroughly satisfying stay.

    This is still my favorite accommodation.

    I felt so relaxed again. A trip made just to stay here. It feels great no matter when I visit, the service is excellent, and the Goi beef is delicious. We checked in early and took our time with the kids. Having a drink while chatting is truly something special. It’s a bit far, but we’ll be back! A wonderfully relaxing Accommodation. The only disappointment was that the pastry chef was no longer there.

    It was my first time staying here.

    We stayed at this Accommodation on 7/20. The building seems to have been renovated, and it was kept impeccably clean throughout, making our stay very comfortable. The meals were just the right portion size, and even my girlfriend—who is training and restricting her diet—was completely satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. She even said that once we got back to our daily routine, she wanted to train, lose weight, and come back to enjoy the food again. The bath in our Room was also at the perfect temperature, and since we could bathe whenever we liked, I ended up soaking four times (laugh). The only disappointment was that we were told there is a risk of bears in this area as well, so we couldn’t take a walk around the Hotel. I’d love to return in another season—during autumn foliage or when everything is covered in snow—and relax in the Onsen. Thanks to the wonderful meals, baths, and hospitality, we had an amazing time. Thank you very much.

    A place where you can truly relax and take it easy.

    Perfect for relaxing in your Room in a refined atmosphere. The meals were especially impressive, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. Drinks are free-flow, and I was happy there was a wide variety of alcohol available at dinner as well. For breakfast, I chose rice; the Koshihikari cooked in a traditional pot was very tasty, though I also wanted to try the bread. The staff welcomed us cheerfully, and their thoughtful attention during meals left a strong impression. The Room was clean, and it would have been perfect if the bath had been an Onsen. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to unwind privately!

    Highly Satisfied

    It exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, and the open-air bath was exceptional. The dining area offered a modern and relaxing atmosphere. With tasteful music in the background, I enjoyed beautifully presented dishes and indulged in a plan that allowed me to order as much of my favorite drinks as I liked. The staff left a great impression, making this accommodation highly recommended.

    Mist and Rain Over the Dam Lake with Wisteria and Greenery

    After exiting the highway and descending a slope to the dam, you will find the accommodation situated in an open area overlooking the dam lake. Nestled near a family vacation village with campsites and bungalows, this public accommodation offers a serene atmosphere. The beautifully renovated lobby opens up to stunning views of mountains and water. The green hillsides adorned with wisteria flowers create postcard-perfect scenery. The rooms have also been newly renovated, featuring pristine tatami mats that exude cleanliness (though they seem delicate). The toilets and wash areas are spacious and user-friendly in design. At the back of each room is a glass wall leading to a wooden deck terrace equipped with an oval-shaped bath. The bath maintains an ideal temperature 24/7, and large glass windows on the deck can be fully opened for fresh air, creating an open-air bath experience without obstructing your view or exposing you to rain. A proper washing area with showers is also provided. After bathing, enjoy complimentary draft beer or other beverages available in the lobby—alcoholic drinks during dinner are included as well. Dinner is served in private booth-style seating with long curtains at the entrance for privacy. It’s quiet, ensuring no disturbance from other guests' voices. The cuisine is exquisite both in taste and presentation—a delightful culinary experience featuring dishes like hot pots prepared on IH heaters. Allergy accommodations are handled thoughtfully by attentive staff. Nighttime brings tranquility with comfortable room temperatures for restful sleep. Breakfast offers delicious options that pair perfectly with both rice and bread choices—an excellent start to your day!

    I had a relaxing stay.

    We enjoyed a peaceful and pleasant time. The selection of drinks was excellent, and we ended up indulging a bit too much, but it made for a very enjoyable trip. Thank you so much. We look forward to visiting again during the snowy season.

    Onsen Trip 2025

    I used the property for my birthday and 60th birthday celebration. As I had heard, it was a great Stays. The all-inclusive experience with delicious food and drinks was excellent. The best part was being able to stay leisurely without meeting other guests after entering the property. I would like to use it again.

    It was an experience like no other.

    [Room & Amenities] Clean rooms. Amenities include popular brands. [Service] Not only friendly, but also attentive to details. [Onsen & Bath] Cleanliness, temperature, and location all provided an ideal environment for an extraordinary experience. A little concerned about the cobwebs at the hot spring spout. [Facility] The lobby is a calm and peaceful space. Extensive drink service. A smoking room with a sense of wabi-sabi. [Dining] Impressed by the local ingredients and the chef's dedication. Delighted by the patissier's sweets. [Satisfaction] The best Ryokan experience of my life. Definitely want to come back. We stayed at "Kaze" with my girlfriend. Upon entering, we were greeted by a simple yet sophisticated and glamorous lobby. The staff's explanation at check-in was very polite and humorous, which eased our tension. Upon entering the room, a warm light and a seasonal kotatsu were prepared, which made my girlfriend very happy. After that, we spent a relaxing time in the room and then went to the long-awaited private open-air bath. Due to the season, there were no insects visiting, and time flew by as we soaked in the warm bath with the cool outside air. The next morning, we enjoyed a breakfast full of local ingredients and the chefs' dedication until we were full. Even when leaving, we were informed about the weather forecast for the sightseeing spots we were heading to and the surrounding area on our way back, providing attentive service until the moment of checkout. During the rest of the trip, we repeatedly expressed our desire to return to the Property, and thanks to this Property, our first trip together became an unforgettable time. It was an experience that makes you want to stay again and again.

    Happy Birthday

    I invited my wife to stay over on my birthday. We stayed on the first floor in a budget rank room. The half-open-air Shigaraki onsen bath on the balcony and in the middle room was great. We entered it immediately after checking in and spent most of our time soaking in the bath, haha. Having draft beer in the first-floor lobby after the bath was the best. In the evening, I received a birthday plate, but the portions were large, and with the all-you-can-drink alcohol, I was stuffed. I took the dessert plate back to the room and enjoyed it after another bath. The dinner included various dishes like sashimi and shabu-shabu, but the conger eel was disappointing as it tasted fishy even after shabu-shabu. Others have mentioned in reviews that the musty smell is inevitable since it's a renovated mountain lodge, but it's a shame considering the significant amount spent on renovations. The information on traffic regulations at the time of reservation, as well as the service from the front desk, servers, and pastry chef, was excellent. It's a retreat where you can quietly and leisurely spend your time as you like.

    This will be my first stay since April of this year.

    The dinner this time featured a Japanese-style beef stew with miso, and the handmade masu sushi and nameko soba were light and delicious. The freshly baked bread at breakfast was delightful and could be enjoyed with steamed vegetables, salmon, and soup, which my husband went back for seconds! The hairdryer in the room was a ReFa, so my hair felt smooth and nice. All the staff were cheerful and made us feel at ease, so we will visit again in another season.
