    I chose this Hotel b...

    I chose this Hotel because I was intrigued by its location next to the velodrome. The Room was compact, but it had a balcony with views of the sea and the velodrome, and I was truly impressed by the scenery beyond my expectations! You can also see the velodrome from the restaurant, and I enjoyed watching keirin for the first time!! I really enjoyed the Hotel just as its concept promises!! It was disappointing that I couldn’t use the large public bath because there were night races, but there were Onsen Facility options and restaurants nearby, and bicycle rentals as well, so I’d like to try those next time. It was also very convenient for access to Naoshima.

    A stylish Hotel with views of the velodrome and the sea!

    I’d been curious about this place ever since reading the manga “Ohitorisama Hotel,” and I stayed here for one night before my trip to Naoshima. The entire Hotel was very stylish, and the view from my Room terrace—overlooking the velodrome and the sea—was wonderful. There were no races that day, but it looked like I could catch a glimpse of athletes practicing during the daytime. The large public bath and sauna were also spotless, and the loungewear was so comfortable—I really liked it. I regret not buying it a little (lol). Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. There were lots of fun options you don’t usually see at typical Hotel buffets, such as marinated sea bream rice bowls, Tenshinhan (crab omelet over rice), clam chowder, and French toast, and I ended up eating too much. All of the staff were cheerful and kind. I was planning to take a taxi to Uno Port in the morning, but they kindly drove me there on their free shuttle bus, which was a huge help. Because of my schedule I couldn’t stay long enough and wish I’d had more time to enjoy everything, but I was very satisfied with this wonderful Hotel!

    An irresistible Hotel for keirin fans

    First of all, this Hotel is a perfect fit for keirin fans. For everyone else… there’s basically nothing around, so it might feel a bit boring. The sea is nearby and you might be able to have some fun, but since there really isn’t much in the area, I think it’s a place best suited for people who want to relax or who are here for keirin. The Hotel was very clean—maybe because it’s relatively new. I stayed on the 7th floor of an 8-story building, and the view was great. I could see the track from my Room, which was amazing!! Check-in is at 15:00, and until 17:00 you can enjoy free coffee and other drinks—excellent service. They also put effort into their merchandise, and I bought a hat I liked. The Room was stylish, and even the loungewear felt thoughtfully chosen, so I could really relax and enjoy keirin. A few disappointing points: There’s a sink right near the entrance, but it’s a bit awkward to use. It’s compact and not very user-friendly. The kettle also has an oddly narrow spout that makes it inconvenient to use. Overall, the water fixtures were not very convenient. There is a large public bath (communal bath), but on race days it can’t be used because riders use it. Since there’s only a shower in the Room, this may not work for people who prefer baths. I usually just take showers anyway, so that didn’t bother me at all. There is an Onsen near the Hotel as well, but it costs 2,000 yen per person so I skipped it. I didn’t eat any meals here, so I can’t comment on the food. That’s my review overall. I had a great time! I lost at keirin betting, but it was still a wonderful trip. Thank you!

    For international visitors

    The concept is interesting, but experiencing it once felt sufficient. The Room was small, and on days when the large public bath was unavailable, only showers were an option, which was inconvenient. The check-in guidance was insufficient; there were no explanations about lounge usage, and all facility signs were in English. Staff members I encountered in the building spoke to me in English. The dining area felt more like a concept-focused diner than a restaurant. Since there weren’t many dining options nearby, I chose a Plan with two meals including a course dinner but regretted it. The seating consisted of stadium chairs that weren’t comfortable to sit on for long periods, and some people at neighboring tables seemed to be working rather than dining. If you choose seats on the lower level, staff are only available upstairs, making it difficult to request anything promptly—this didn’t create an environment where one could leisurely enjoy a course meal. Since the restaurant wasn’t crowded, ordering à la carte for a quick meal would have been sufficient instead of opting for the full course dinner Plan. Breakfast starting early in the morning was convenient and appreciated!

    The concept and location are good.

    3 guests including 1 preschool child Twin Room with 2 meals per night: 36,000 yen Good Points: The Room was kept clean. The amenities were well-thought-out and good. Disappointing Points: No guidance for parking or welcoming upon arrival. It is understandable that the public bath cannot be used during the race event period, but considering there are Onsen Facilities nearby, providing service tickets, etc., could be a good idea. The dinner was a family Plan menu, but it was neither particularly child-friendly nor considerate (children's plates were not provided unless requested), and it wasn't delicious either. There were few staff members, and service was slow. The breakfast buffet reused leftover ingredients from dinner. Using this Property for sightseeing might leave you disappointed. It feels like a slightly expensive Business Hotel, which might be acceptable if you use it with that expectation.

    The meal content was different; it was supposed to be wagyu steak, but it was just slices of roast beef. The fish dish was also poor in quality. I would like the dishes to be more creatively prepared. The dessert was also of poor quality.

    The Facility is disappointing despite being wonderful.

    The breakfast is well-balanced in nutrition, and both the taste and variety are wonderful. The shuttle service can also use taxis, and the view from the room is amazing. The customer service is excellent at this property, but I was very uncomfortable with the loud conversations of local people with full-body tattoos in the large public bath. I used the bath twice, and both times encountered those people, who I believe are customers using the velodrome. It might be better to patrol and raise awareness. I look forward to the day when I can recommend this wonderful hotel to friends and acquaintances. It was a property I would definitely like to visit again.

    The ocean view was amazing!!

    - They allowed us to check in early. - There were many beautiful staff members! - Most of the guests were white inbound tourists. - The Wi-Fi for each room has good security. - The large public bath is not available on race days. (There is a lovely shower room in the room.) - There weren't many facilities to enjoy within the hotel. - There are no convenience stores or shops nearby. - At the restaurant, we wanted a light dinner, so we had a reasonably priced seafood bowl. - We used the first shuttle bus as we had a 10 AM checkout the next day.

    It was unfortunate.

    The review was good, so I stayed for two nights for an important visit to Okayama, but it was very disappointing. I chose a twin room, but it was extremely small, and although it was supposed to be an ocean view, the view of the sea was blocked by buildings. The bathroom was cramped, and there were several items at breakfast that I couldn't eat. There were no smoothies, scones, or nuts, and the yogurt was empty. The only fruit available was frozen pineapple. There were many foreigners, and it felt like a student dormitory. I have used many hotels on IKYU, but I realized that the reviews cannot be trusted.
