    We had a relaxing stay!

    It was the height of summer, but we were able to relax and enjoy a hygge stay. The in-room Onsen allowed us to bathe without any worries, and it was wonderful to unwind on the wooden deck early in the morning. The meal was delicious—not only the kaiseki course, but also the sea bream rice. Check-out at the entrance was a first for us, and we really appreciated it. We’d love to visit again during crab season.

    The food was disappointing, the in-Room bath was full of insects, and the in-house phone line did not connect.

    At check-in, the two of us were told that since we were the only guests staying at this Accommodation, the staff would be at the sister property across the street. There were no sweets provided—only sparkling wine for IKYU Diamond members. Even with the upgraded dinner, the taste was average; the sashimi was not fresh and the fillet meat was slightly discolored, which was very disappointing. At night, there was no water in the kettle, so I called the front desk from the in-room phone, but no one answered no matter how many times I tried. With no choice, we went to the sister property across the street to ask for water, but an elderly male staff member did not even apologize. There was only one Sekkisei skincare set for women; when I asked for another one, I was told it is limited to one per Room and they would not provide it. In any case, there were insects everywhere—there were spider webs at the entrance and on the deck as well, and we had to remove them with an umbrella as we walked. The in-room bath had insects covering the ceiling, and in the morning many insects were floating in the bathtub. I felt absolutely no consideration from this Accommodation; it was by far my worst stay ever. Now I understand why there are so many vacancies in summer—I cannot recommend it at all.

    This Accommodation lacked hospitality. Meals were served in rapid succession as if we were being rushed, and after the food was brought out there were no staff around even when we wanted tea, and there was no call bell. At night I had lower back pain and asked the front desk for pain relief medication, but they would not assist. There were no nearby shops, so I had to endure the pain until the next day. I was surprised they did not keep even basic painkillers on hand.

    This was my first stay. The onsen was great, and the crab was very delicious.

    This was my first stay at this accommodation. I traveled by train and requested a shuttle service the day before. This is not a hotel; each room has its own entrance from the outside, and there is no lobby. Upon arrival, I was guided to my room, but there was a major mistake. I thought I had reserved a room with a lake view, but due to insufficient confirmation, I ended up in the only room facing the courtyard—a special suite. As a result, I couldn't enjoy viewing the lakeside while soaking in the onsen. However, the onsen itself was very relaxing and enjoyable. The meal featuring fresh crab was delicious and served in generous portions. The room came with three cans of beer or chu-hi and two bottles of water stocked in the refrigerator. For those who don't prefer alcohol, it might have been better to include two more bottles of water or some juice options as well. Coffee and tea were available as self-serve packs; however, there was some dust on the shelf where the kettle was placed—this part could be improved upon. Additionally, although there seemed to be vending machines outside, clearer guidance about their location would have been helpful. This type of accommodation is ideal for those who want to relax without leaving their rooms after checking in since there's nothing around except for scenic views of nature nearby.

    It was excellent.

    The facility is a detached building with excellent views, amenities, and an Onsen. The meals were fantastic, especially the crab, which was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also very tasty. Everyone was kind, making it a wonderful trip. We look forward to visiting again next year!

    The room and meals are satisfactory.

    The room was clean and felt very spacious due to the high ceiling. The floor heating was very warm, so I didn't feel cold at all. The meal was a crab-focused course, which left me completely full and satisfied with its freshness. I enjoyed dishes like fresh crab sashimi and rich crab miso. Although I thought it would be nice to have crab soup for breakfast, overall, including the service, I was very satisfied.

    Highly satisfied.

    The meals were plentiful, featuring not only crab but also sashimi, exquisite dishes, and meat. The crab was fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff were all very kind, and the Room was incredibly lovely! Truly nothing to complain about. Thank you very much. I will visit again during crab season.

    Dinner was excellent.

    The service is simple, focusing on the accommodation's essentials: the room and dining area, which is no problem. The dinner featuring crab, especially the crab sashimi, might be the best I've ever had. Having the staff prepare crab meat for the rice porridge was also fantastic. Breakfast was standard; a little extra twist would be nice—perhaps adding small crabs to the miso soup would be delightful. As for amenities, there were plenty of towels available, which was great, but the design balance of the toilet slippers could use some improvement. The room and bath were warm and comfortable throughout my stay. My goal of enjoying delicious crab was fully achieved and I left satisfied!

    We enjoyed a comfort...

    We enjoyed a comfortable stay in a very beautiful and spacious room overlooking the quiet lakeside. The private bath in the room, which could be used at any time, was slightly deeper than expected but still very relaxing. The meals were delicious and plentiful, and we were able to take home the leftover crab, which we appreciated after returning home. Thank you to the staff for their attentive service. This accommodation made us want to visit again during another season, not just during crab season.

    We received very kind and attentive service.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. During the meal, I felt unwell and had to leave my seat, but the staff member serving us was very kind and handled the situation with flexibility. Thanks to her hospitality, my companion was able to enjoy the meal comfortably. Even in an unexpected situation, their exceptional hospitality allowed us to have a pleasant stay.     Dinner: After finish...

    Dinner: After finishing one dish, we had to wait over 10 minutes for the next course. The boiled crab was completely cold. In total, dinner took three hours. At check-in, staff mentioned they would come to the room at 9:30 AM for the checkout process, but no one showed up. After calling the office at 9:45 AM, a staff member arrived around 9:55 AM. There was no explanation about facilities outside of the room. Meals were taken at a restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The onsen facility was basic and did not compare to other onsen hotels in a similar price range. That week, I stayed at another hotel for 70% of this hotel's price. The other hotel offered better meals, service, and facilities.

    Is it a good accommodation?

    Crab full-course meal, a location overlooking "Hanare Lake," and private space with access to an open-air bath in one of the four standalone accommodations for 24 hours without worrying about time—this was why I chose this accommodation. The crab full-course meal, which did not disappoint with its generous portions, along with Kyoto beef and abalone, were all delicious. I also appreciated being able to take home the steamed crab we couldn't finish as a souvenir. The staff were friendly and created a pleasant atmosphere during dinner; however, I was disappointed that there was no local sake from Tango available. Additionally, since there was a set end time for dinner service, it felt rushed having to keep track of time—I understand wanting to finish work quickly but still found it inconvenient. Aside from the meals, there was no interaction with other guests. The guest room was compact yet clean and easy to move around in. However, since the bathroom, sink area, and toilet were all in one room, there were times when someone using the bath or changing made it impossible for others to use the toilet. The Diamond Member benefits were excellent as well; overall I thought this accommodation was great. However, after already completing my payment beforehand, I received another request for payment which shocked me. When I informed them of this issue they said they would look into it—but after that point there was no follow-up communication at all! This lack of response felt disrespectful towards customers; even just acknowledging their mistake would have been appreciated! Such an experience ruined what had otherwise been enjoyable moments—it left me feeling deeply disappointed and frustrated!

    Highly recommended accommodation!

    It was a great accommodation. The room, service, meals, and view were all excellent. The thoughtful touch of the teru-teru bozu was also delightful. I had a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended! I would love to stay here again. One thing that caught my attention... The slippers in the room's toilet. Considering how wonderful the room was, it felt a bit disappointing.

    The Ultimate Journey

    Despite the unfortunate weather, a teru-teru bozu was hung at the entrance of the detached accommodation, which made us feel very warm and cared for. The accommodation offered a wonderful room with a view of the serene lakeside. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying. The meat and fish dishes were all incredibly delicious. The private open-air bath in our room was very spacious and comfortable to use. After soaking in the onsen, our skin felt smooth and soft! On the second day, we were blessed with some sunshine, and my family happily said it must have been thanks to the teru-teru bozu. Thank you for an unforgettable trip!

    Special Kaiseki Meal

    I chose the special kaiseki Plan, expecting great meals based on the Reviews. However, my expectations might have been too high, and I felt slightly underwhelmed in some aspects. Upon re-reading the Reviews later, I noticed that many were during crab season, so I hope to revisit during crab season next time. The scenery was beautiful, the Room was clean and comfortable, and the Diamond Member benefits were excellent, with impeccable service. Overall, I was highly satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

    Meals are highly satisfying, and the cost performance is excellent!

    The meals and cost performance were very satisfying. However, it snowed in the morning, creating puddles on the pathway, which was a bit inconvenient. I thought it would be nice to have a small bridge or crossing.

    Trip for Two Women

    This Stays is completely isolated, so you only meet other guests during meals, allowing you to enjoy a private space. The bath is available 24 hours, so you can take your time and enjoy it as much as you like. With the window open, you can enjoy a semi-open-air bath experience while looking at the lake in front. The staff was friendly, and during dinner, they made us feel comfortable and relaxed. There were so many dishes that we were full, and it was more than we could eat. The crab porridge, filled with crab meat, was incredibly delicious. Overall, the service from all the staff was excellent. We visited in November, but they mentioned that the cherry blossoms are beautiful in March as well. It has become a Stays we want to visit again. Thank you very much.

    First stay

    It has been a very long time since I visited the Japan Sea side. This time, we visited to celebrate our child's birthday. The reasons for choosing this place were the availability of a hot spring in the room and the delicious-looking meals. The room was not luxurious but was clean and had a modern layout. Since it was a new building, that was also a plus. The meals were excellent. They prepared a dish with crab and salmon roe wrapped in meat for our child's celebration, which made them very happy. It's an inn that makes me want to visit again. It's also close to Kotohiki Beach, and I hope to come back for a more leisurely stay next time.
