    At a Hotel next to a...

    At a Hotel next to an amusement park and pool, we were able to enjoy two full days of fun, and my three grandchildren were thrilled. The buffet offered a great variety of dishes, but our Room was located farthest from the restaurant and the large public bath, so getting around in the heat was quite difficult.

    We stopped by on our way back from an Izu trip. The attached Facility (such as the amusement park) was closed that day, but as an elderly couple we thought an Onsen and good food would be enough, so we made a Reservation. However, this Hotel seems geared toward family trips with small children; aside from the “all-you-can-eat eel” and the free-flow drinks for heavy drinkers at dinner, there isn’t much else worth noting. Also, we were lucky that there were no large tour groups from Country C. The Room had a strong unpleasant odor the moment we entered—like rotting tatami or rush grass—and the provided deodorizing spray didn’t help. It would have been nice if they could use something like an incense burner. Also, this place is not suitable for smokers. The only indoor smoking room is in the attached day-use bathing Facility, and it cannot be used from 24:00 to 10:00. Otherwise, there is only an exposed smoking area outside the entrance. In winter you’ll catch a cold; in summer you’ll have to endure mosquitoes. Please be aware!

    Simply delicious.

    I visited with friends in March, and this time I came with my son’s family. The food is simply delicious, and even my five-year-old grandchild can have fun at the amusement park and inside the Hotel. Beer was available after bathing and during meals as well, which made my daughter-in-law very happy. The meals were excellent—both grilled Hamana Lake eel (kabayaki) and white-grilled eel (shirayaki) were so good that I ate far too much. I usually don’t eat seafood bowls elsewhere (because they’re not tasty), but for some reason I end up having them here. And the staff who prepare the food are very kind. Next time, I’d like to bring my daughter’s family too. The desserts made with local ingredients and the small dishes are also delicious. I don’t think there is any other Hotel buffet as good as this. The only problem is that I eat too much and gain weight. Even breakfast has great variety, and even the scrambled eggs taste wonderful. The shirasu and eel onigiri-style rice balls were very satisfying too. With four adults and one small child, it’s hard to deny that the room feels a bit small. But since a larger room would have doubled the price, we ended up trying to save money. Well, we only sleep there anyway. This may be a bit rambling, but considering the price, all I can say is thank you very much. If possible, I think a dry sauna would be better than the current one in the bath area.

    Well-equipped for babies—truly baby-friendly!

    We stayed here for my wife’s birthday. Since our daughter was 1.5 years old, we chose this baby-welcome Accommodation. The Room was clean, and our daughter seemed to have a great time running around on the tatami area. The food was delicious, and my wife seemed very satisfied. They also had children’s cutlery, cups, kitchen scissors, and an apron prepared for us, which was very helpful. However, the dinner service-time event created a very long line. We wanted to try it but didn’t feel like waiting in line. We were glad they kindly agreed to prepare a birthday plate. The bath was also great. With the staff’s friendly greetings and thoughtful attention, it was an Accommodation that made us want to come again. Next time, we’d like to visit when the neighboring amusement park is open.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. All of the staff were kind and attentive, which made our stay very pleasant. If I could suggest one improvement, the meat at dinner was a bit tough, so older guests and my wife had some difficulty eating it. If possible, we would love to have Japanese rolled omelet (dashimaki tamago) at breakfast (just a request). That said, we enjoyed all of the meals overall and had a wonderful time. Thank you again.

    The food and Onsen were excellent.

    We stayed with our children (8 and 3 years old) and enjoyed the convenience of being connected to Hamanako Palpal. We stayed in the Sky Court building, which was spacious enough. While the facility is slightly dated, it was thoroughly cleaned. The buffet offered a good variety of dishes, and adults can enjoy the flavors as well. Meals and tableware for infants were well-prepared. The onsen had a spacious changing area, which was very convenient. Above all, since many families with children stay here, it’s easy to relax without worrying too much. The direct connection to Hamanako Palpal makes it especially convenient for families with kids.

    The bath...

    The bath area was a bit cold, possibly due to the air conditioning, so it was hard to take my time washing. The staff at the front desk and elsewhere were polite and kind. During the meal, the chef removed the eel from the skewer and served it freshly grilled on a plate. It was warm and delicious. When I mentioned a birthday in the comment section while making a reservation, there was a surprise birthday cake prepared for me. They even took commemorative photos and printed them out for me when I left. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality!

    Dinner & Onsen were amazing!

    Good Points: - Delicious Meals The menu is diverse and creative, making it enjoyable even for picky eaters. The use of high-quality, fresh ingredients is evident in the flavors, and the seasoning was excellent. - Onsen Being able to enjoy the Onsen from early morning was a great feature. The spacious area ensures it never feels overcrowded at any time. Areas for Improvement: - No Samue Provided Yukata tends to come undone easily and is not very practical. Many guests seem to bring their own casual wear like tracksuits, which might be more convenient. - Lack of a Highlight for Breakfast Compared to dinner, breakfast felt quite ordinary. While dinner featured specialties like eel and Mikabi beef, breakfast lacked a standout dish or theme. Options like grilled fish, French toast, or rice balls were available but on par with other hotels' offerings. Seafood options were limited to horse mackerel tartare only. If something unique like the "topping bowl" from dinner could be offered at breakfast as well, it would be fantastic! A signature dish for breakfast would enhance the experience greatly. - Post-Onsen Beer but Nothing for Kids? Complimentary beer after using the Onsen until 7:00 PM is a nice touch for adults; however, minors who pay full adult rates receive nothing in return. It was disheartening to see children around middle school age sitting next to their parents drinking beer with nothing else provided for them during this time... Offering juice or ice cream as an alternative treat would make younger guests feel included and appreciated. Overall though I’ve written various points here—this Hotel is truly wonderful overall! I look forward returning again soon!

    Only the customer service was good.

    Stayed on the last day of a three-day weekend, which was a public holiday. Since the next day was a weekday, I expected it to be less crowded and looked forward to enjoying the large public bath at my own pace. However, this accommodation was completely different. As it allows day-use guests and is located right in front of an amusement park, when I went to the large public bath at 4 PM, it was extremely crowded—comparable to a busy radon onsen on holidays. Reluctantly, I went to the guest-only area instead, but it only had one small rectangular tub that wasn’t very spacious and the water temperature was slightly lukewarm. The photos made me look forward to the large public bath and influenced my decision to stay here, but reality turned out quite differently. The buffet didn’t have many options in terms of variety. The taste of everything was average. When I picked up chopsticks, they were dirty; also noticed that glasses for sake and wine were cloudy with stains—it felt like such a waste for good drinks. I chose a lake-view room since it promised views of the lake; while you can indeed see the lake, there’s another garden building in front of it with guests walking around in yukata visible from our room—this left me disappointed. The toilet door in the unit bathroom felt uncomfortably close. On a positive note, all staff members were very pleasant and courteous. I usually research accommodations thoroughly before booking but feel that this time my research fell short despite thinking I had checked everything carefully—it’s ultimately my own mistake.

    Couple's Getaway

    A Room with a panoramic view of Lake Hamana, and on the other side, there is an amusement park and a ropeway that even adults can thoroughly enjoy. The meals at this Hotel were exceptional, featuring all-you-can-eat domestic eel, Shizuoka beer, and Mikabi mandarin sour—exclusive drinks available here. The breakfast also included eel, which was truly impressive. If I have another chance to visit Shizuoka, I would love to stay here again.

    You can also enjoy directly at Hamamatsu Palpal. The Room was clean, and the meals included all-you-can-eat freshly grilled eel. It seemed very popular, and the dining area was lively, though a bit crowded. The Garden Wing was a bit far from the dining area and the large public bath. The staff's hospitality was impressive. Thank you. There seems to be room for improvement in the breakfast and evening sashimi!

    Great!

    We stayed here to visit Hamanako Palpal. As an official Hotel, it included two days of admission tickets, and we were also able to buy discounted passports. It is very convenient because you can go directly from the Hotel. We were able to fully enjoy Palpal for two days. The building was very clean and well maintained, and the Room was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. The buffet was a bit crowded, but everything—eel, steak, and seafood—was delicious.

    It was a Hotel full of smiles.

    The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that both adults and children can enjoy. For dinner, my husband had plenty of delicious eel. The Room had chairs, but there was one with a backrest and one without. Since it was a room for two people, I would have preferred two chairs with backrests. The bath was nice, though my husband mentioned it felt slightly lukewarm. Perhaps it's just right for children. It felt like a Hotel where families, including three generations, can have fun together. All the staff were smiling. Thank you very much!

    I was very satisfied.

    The experience was excellent. All the staff were cheerful, greeted us warmly, and were very polite and helpful. The food was delicious, with creative use of local ingredients that made it enjoyable. There was a wide variety of alcoholic beverages available, and the all-you-can-drink option was great. Our entire family was satisfied. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that the toilet is combined with the unit bath, which is slightly inconvenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would love to visit again!

    A Hotel I want to visit again!

    We chose this hotel because it is child-friendly! The facilities were clean, and the room and dining area offered a buffet with a wide variety of delicious food! However, one disappointment was that there was no baby food suitable for around 12 months old. We had to go back to the room to get some. It would have been even better if baby food for that age group was provided. What impressed us the most was the exclusive play area for guests. It had plenty of toys, and the space was large enough for children to play comfortably—an excellent feature! The hotel staff were kind, and having an amusement park nearby made it convenient to return to the hotel after playing. Since our daughter is still too young to enjoy the amusement park, we look forward to visiting again when she’s older! This hotel has definitely become one of our top choices!

    We had a great time.

    We stayed here for a three-generation family trip with four children aged 0 to 3 years old. Although we had some concerns about the bath facilities, we had a wonderful time. The bath was equipped with child-sized chairs and soap, which was very helpful. Not only were the play areas well-equipped, but all the staff members were friendly and attentive to the children, giving us a sense of security. There were also many events that children could participate in, which made our stay highly enjoyable. We look forward to staying here again!

    Hotel Wellseason Hamanako

    The facility was clean, and the room had a very beautiful layout, making for a satisfying stay. We used the bath exclusively for guests, and since there were no other visitors, it was nice to have it all to ourselves and chat with my high school son. The parking lot is a bit far and requires going up and down stairs, which is slightly inconvenient. There were many small children around, giving the hotel a lively atmosphere. The Garden Wing requires quite a bit of walking, so that should be taken into consideration. It was an enjoyable stay overall, but nothing exceeded expectations—this might come down to personal preference.

    Very good.

    We stayed as a family of three. Unfortunately, the amusement park "Pal Pal" was closed, but we enjoyed the events inside the Hotel and had a great time. The Room was clean and comfortable. The Onsen was excellent and very relaxing. The meals were delicious, and we ended up eating too much! We requested to change our meal time, and the staff kindly accommodated us with great care. We were very satisfied and had a wonderful trip. We used the parking lot, but after unloading our luggage in front of the Hotel, we didn't receive a parking ticket by mistake. We had to ask another staff member for directions to enter the parking lot. Other than that, everything was very satisfying. We would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!

    It was very delicious, but...

    I decided to visit after watching a video and was pleasantly surprised by the amusement park, which exceeded my expectations. However, it was very crowded on the day of our visit, making it difficult to hear staff instructions. When there was a slight delay in securing my child's safety belt, a staff member asked, "Are you Japanese?" This startled my child as they misunderstood the intent behind the question. I reassured them that it wasn't meant in that way. The food and Onsen were delightful. We initially planned to eat local specialties outside but ended up dining at the restaurant within the accommodation because it was so comfortable. The restaurant was clean and served delicious meals. After checking out, we appreciated being able to store our luggage and use the bath facilities; otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the amusement park fully. It turned into a memorable experience for us, and we're already talking about visiting again. There were just a few disappointments... When asking for directions to the observation deck, we were guided via an outdoor route with traffic and strong sunlight—making it inconvenient. Upon arrival at our destination, we learned there was a direct connection from the hotel's second floor. We used this smoother indoor route on our return trip without any issues from weather or traffic. It would have been helpful if this option had been mentioned initially. Additionally, at the Onsen for guests only, some people had left their belongings and wet towels on massage chairs as if reserving them. I waited but eventually gave up when no one returned; this left me feeling disappointed. Placing wet towels on equipment felt unhygienic as well. Clear signage discouraging such behavior or stating that unattended items will be removed would improve guest experiences significantly—occasional patrols by staff could also help address these manners violations effectively!

    Specialized for children

    I stayed with my wife, daughter, and grandchild using the plan that included free passes to Palpal. Since it was the Sunday after Golden Week, it wasn’t too crowded. We used the free passes on the day of checkout. What made me happiest was that my grandchild seemed thoroughly satisfied. The hotel had excellent facilities for children, and I could feel the staff at the front desk and shop were very considerate towards kids. The buffet offered an overwhelming variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. Personally, I especially enjoyed the eel, meat dishes, and horse mackerel tartare (namerou). We had a great time at the amusement park as well but also enjoyed ourselves until departure with a relaxing day-use bath before leaving from the hotel. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Last-minute accommodation

    I decided to stay at the accommodation on short notice and arrived at the hotel around 8:30 PM after work. Since I hadn't eaten yet, it was great that the dining facility was available. There were two baths, so I enjoyed both of them. I wished I could have stayed longer, but with a 10 AM checkout, it felt a bit rushed. The room we stayed in was quite far from the front desk, baths, and restaurant. While it was good exercise for us, the distance might be challenging for elderly guests; we ended up skipping the large bath at night because of this. The room had a retro feel but was spacious. The facilities were clean and easy to use. Breakfast was very satisfying with a wide variety of options to try in small portions. The grated yam (tororo) was delicious, and the croquettes were freshly fried and warm. I even indulged in soft-serve ice cream at the end! As it suddenly got hot during our trip and I forgot my hat, I purchased one from the shop on-site which came in handy for sightseeing afterward.

    A truly wonderful Hotel, especially recommended for families with children.

    We stayed with six friends from our school days. The buffet was plentiful, delicious, and very satisfying. The all-you-can-drink alcohol included three types of local sake, all of which were exceptionally tasty. The room was clean, and the bath offered a relaxing view of greenery. It was truly rejuvenating. We also tried the massage service, which was excellent and made us want to return just for that experience alone. This time we were six adults, but there is also a play area for children and a connecting passage to an amusement park. The buffet includes kids' menu options, making it ideal for families with children. In fact, we saw many guests with kids during our stay. Next time, we plan to visit with our family!

    I visited the wister...

    I visited the wisteria around Lake Hamana. I toured Flower Park and 3-4 other locations and was very satisfied. The hotel, including various services and meals, was also excellent. It was great to use the on-site day-use Onsen the day after my stay. However, the parking fee for the day-use Onsen felt a bit high for just over 2 hours. I would love to visit again!

    A Highly Satisfying Hotel

    We stayed here for a family trip. There are many enjoyable spots nearby, such as Palpal, Kanzanji, and the ropeway, which made our stay very pleasant. The reviews mentioned that the food was delicious, and we were looking forward to it. Both dinner and breakfast featured many local dishes using regional ingredients, allowing us to enjoy unique local flavors. Some hotel buffets can be disappointing, but here every dish looked so appetizing that we ended up eating too much! The baths included both a day-use onsen and an onsen exclusively for guests. We enjoyed both options. The day-use onsen was spacious with various types of baths to try out. The guest-only onsen had a semi-open-air feel with trees right in front of it; we only used it in the morning but found it very relaxing. There were plenty of manga available as well as origami and drawing corners for children, making both adults and kids thoroughly satisfied during our stay. The room was impeccably clean down to every corner, allowing us to relax comfortably. The garden was also beautiful with spring flowers in full bloom; I wish I had more time to take a leisurely stroll there. I would love to stay here again!

    Every detail is thoughtfully considered.

    This was my second stay, and I plan to visit regularly in the future. 1. The food, including premium ingredients like eel, was absolutely delicious. 2. The Facility was impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed. 3. Every staff member I interacted with provided kind and pleasant service. Overall, it was such a comfortable Hotel that I could list countless positive points about it. I also made full use of the complimentary next-day Onsen day-use ticket provided by the Hotel. The nearby Hamana Lake area had a serene atmosphere where I could fully enjoy a resort-like experience. Despite arriving just before dinner time, the staff kindly accommodated my schedule change—thank you very much!
