    Dinner feels rushed.

I think the food is delicious. However, dinner starts all at once at 6:00 PM (I’m not sure what that means), and it was frustrating that dessert was served before 7:00 PM. The side-dish buffet is nice, but it was cleared away after about 40 minutes; even though you can get another serving of rice, the miso soup and pickles are no longer available. You can take your time eating more at a family restaurant.

Perfect for relaxing at the Accommodation.

We stayed as a couple with our two children. Since our kids are a university student and a high school student, it was less about sightseeing and more about enjoying great food and relaxing in the Onsen. They catered to the parents’ preferences, so we were able to take it easy and fully enjoy the free-flow drinks, late-night snacks, and the Onsen. At breakfast, we tried several varieties of koji dressing with vegetables, fish, and meat, and really enjoyed tasting different combinations.

    Thank you for your support.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything—the large public bath, the private bath, drinks in the lobby, snacks, dinner, and beverages. The only disappointment was that I dozed off after dinner again this time and couldn’t try the curry. We will stay again. Thank you very much.

    The best

I’ve recently become interested in fermented foods, so I was really looking forward to the meals. Each dish was carefully prepared, and it was wonderful—delicious and beautiful to look at. The smaller portions at the half buffet were a great idea. I also enjoyed all of the activities. I’ll be back again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen, the private bath, the delicious and wholesome meals, free-flow drinks, and the drinks and snacks in the lobby. I fell asleep after dinner, so I was very disappointed that I couldn’t try the late-night curry. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Relax and unwind.

My Golden Week plans changed suddenly, so I made a Reservation just a week in advance, and it was an amazing value! It was all-inclusive, and I could truly relax. An hour after dinner I was too full for the late-night snack, so I used the private bath and then enjoyed drinks in my Room while unwinding. I’ll definitely come again.

It was nice and quiet since small children are not allowed!

It’s inconvenient for guests using public transportation, but since there were no children, it was quiet and we could relax. We really enjoyed the food, alcohol, and soft drinks. We appreciate that it’s free, but please install two electric bicycles that are suitable even for women wearing skirts (there is only one now). It was our first time trying fermented cuisine; we especially enjoyed the variety of dressings. We’d like to visit again in a different season. My friend was happy that the fermented food helped with regular bowel movements. Thank you very much!

    This is my second stay.

This was my first stay last time, and it was so wonderful that I made another Reservation right away. Even as a solo guest, the price was in the 18,000-yen range, so it felt like a great deal and I ended up coming back again within the same month. It seemed busier than last time, so the large public bath wasn’t completely private, but I could still relax and enjoy it. The staff were also very kind and helpful, and I’m extremely satisfied. However… my only regret is that I accidentally fell asleep during the late-night snack time. The dining area and lobby were a bit cold, so I borrowed blankets in both places—that was the only downside. Overall, though, I’m very happy with my stay and will definitely be back!

    Highly satisfied.

The atmosphere of the Facility, the staff's hospitality, the meals, and the cleanliness of the Room were all excellent. Borrowing a humidifier prevented any dryness. I enjoyed my favorite drink while reading a book at leisure, truly feeling like I had a relaxing holiday. However, I deducted one star because the temperature of the open-air bath was too low.

The service was polite, and the explanation at check-in was clear and left a good impression. The guest room was clean, and the layout was user-friendly. However, the dinner did not feel worth the Accommodation Fee, which was disappointing. The menu content and ingredients lacked a sense of uniqueness, and the presentation was ordinary. For an accommodation in this price range, it fell short of expectations. Those who prioritize meals should take note.

The best cup! Enjoy delicious green tea.

The green tea served at check-in was truly delicious, so I purchased some to take home. The meals were also delightful, and there was a great variety of alcoholic beverages to enjoy. Thank you very much!

    All-Inclusive Accommodation with a Café-Like Atmosphere

We visited during the autumn foliage season in Shuzenji. As a group of four women who all enjoy drinking, we were looking for an all-inclusive accommodation and found AWA, which offered a variety of stylish drinks. Overall, we were satisfied with the food and free-flowing drinks, but there was one aspect of the service that left us disappointed, resulting in an overall satisfaction rating of 3. During dinner, we had both course meals and a buffet in a private room. While several dishes from the course meal were served, one staff member attempted to place new dishes on our table without clearing obviously finished plates first. A simple question like "May I clear your plates?" would have allowed us to hand over our empty plates ourselves. However, instead of doing so, they seemed eager to place new dishes quickly and even touched used cutlery to shift it around (which is unhygienic) to create space on the table unnecessarily. At accommodations priced in the 30,000 yen range per night, it’s surprising that guests are expected to handle their own plates or experience such handling by staff members. I firmly requested that they clear empty plates rather than shifting items around on the table. While I apologize if this comes across as a complaint, I felt that for such an intimate all-inclusive setting aiming for high satisfaction levels among guests, this level of service was disappointing. On another note (though unrelated), the late-night curry served between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM was difficult for most members of our group to eat as it came too soon after dinner; perhaps offering it during breakfast would be more convenient. That said, my friends were very satisfied overall! If improvements can be made regarding customer service quality moving forward—I’d love to recommend this place widely! Looking forward with hope!

    Satisfying Accommodation

I have stayed at many accommodations before, but this has become one of the most memorable ones. Although I chose a plan without dinner, there was a light meal available at night, so there was no need to worry. In fact, I was happy because the accommodation cost was lower as a result. The breakfast was very delicious and highly satisfying! Additionally, all drinks—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—were included and unlimited! Thank you. The onsen was also great. Private baths can be easily reserved. Overall, the design is very simple with no excessive services, which likely helps reduce labor costs and contributes to the reasonable pricing. It felt like an exemplary accommodation!

    I had a relaxing stay.

This was my first time staying here. I arrived a bit early and was worried, but when I went to the reception, the staff (a woman from Osaka) kindly assisted me. Thank you very much. Overall, I had a relaxing and comfortable stay. However, one point of concern was that the water in both the large bath and the open-air bath in my Room felt lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you for providing me with a peaceful and relaxing time.

    All-Inclusive

During the October long weekend, our family of three stayed at AWA in Nishi-Izu to enjoy some delicious Japanese spider crab. With a limited number of rooms, the accommodation was clean and well-maintained. The meals were not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared with health in mind. The all-inclusive service was fantastic—everything from dining to the lounge was included, and even bringing drinks back to the room was allowed. For a family that loves alcohol, it was budget-friendly and greatly appreciated. The limited number of rooms ensured a peaceful atmosphere without any crowds. The large bath felt like a private retreat, allowing us to relax at our own pace. Although the view wasn’t remarkable, spending time inside reading books or chatting made for an enjoyable experience. For those who love alcohol, this place offers excellent value for money. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming!

    Room:

Room: The room was thoroughly cleaned, allowing for a comfortable stay. Bath: The room had a semi-open-air bath, but I wanted to enjoy the onsen, so I used the large public bath at night and in the morning. Both felt slightly cool to me, and the water had a light texture. Unfortunately, I didn’t experience the lasting warmth or deep heat that onsen usually provide, which was a bit disappointing. Meals: I only tried the late-night snacks. There were more options than expected for side dishes, making it enjoyable to pair with drinks. The deep-sea curry was as delicious as mentioned in other reviews. Lounge: The variety of free drinks was impressive, and I enjoyed sampling small amounts of different types of alcohol that I don’t usually drink—it was delightful! The staff's service was polite; while not overwhelmingly impressive, my overall experience was highly satisfying. This time my stay focused mainly on sleeping; however, next time I'd like to visit with the purpose of relaxing while enjoying some drinks leisurely.

    Attentive and meticulous service

Attention to detail and a delightful variety made for an incredibly satisfying stay. ① The welcome drink, chilled Japanese tea, had an astonishing aroma and sweetness. ② The in-house wear (separate top and bottom tied with a string) featured a button at the collar to prevent it from slipping open. ③ The bath amenities included herbal products from a premium brand. ④ The late-night deep-sea curry was spicy and delicious. Other options like thin-crust pizza, rich fruit cheese, and refreshing pickled vegetables were equally satisfying. ⑤ Free drinks included both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, making selection enjoyable. ⑥ A wide range of light reading materials was available for entertainment. ⑦ Drinks and books could be brought into the room (with some rules). ⑧ Breakfast featured carefully selected ingredients that left us full—hearty miso soup, rice with raw egg topping, and specialty dressings were particularly delicious. The staff were very kind and provided helpful information throughout our stay. This accommodation is perfect for adults seeking relaxation. While we initially stayed here to visit the aquarium or attend events in Numazu, next time we’d love to come back just to enjoy staying here itself! Thank you very much!

The concept and meals are great! Looking forward to improvements in the finer details.

【Guests and Schedule】Accommodation for 3 people: a couple in their 60s and their daughter in her 20s, staying on the day before a holiday. 【Overall Impression of the Accommodation】Compact but not bad. The front desk staff were polite, and it gave the impression that they are doing their best with a small number of employees. Considering the price, the all-inclusive style provides sufficient satisfaction, and I felt that the owner's concept is commendable. 【Lounge】The lounge is bright, clean, and spacious enough to relax. A variety of drinks are available including red/white wine, sparkling wine, sake, beer, plum wine as well as non-alcoholic options like coffee. Guests can take drinks to their room using plastic cups only. After dinner (from 8:00 PM), complimentary late-night snacks such as hors d'oeuvres are served at the restaurant; guests can bring them to enjoy drinks in this lounge area too. 【Dinner】Starts at 6:00 PM for all guests simultaneously. Since this hotel does not cater to families with young children (no accommodation for elementary school-aged children or younger), tables for groups of three or four are limited (only about two or three). The rest are counter seats. The menu consists of a small course meal as the main dish while side dishes can be taken from a self-serve buffet station. While beautifully presented meals may feel insufficient in portion size for young men, they can supplement with items from the buffet if needed. 【Late-Night Snacks】At 8:00 PM curry and hors d'oeuvres are prepared at the restaurant—though it feels too early after dinner for those who have already eaten like us—it’s an excellent service when considering guests who check-in late without having had dinner. 【Breakfast】A simple buffet without any distinctive features; eggs provided were Onsen eggs instead of raw ones suitable for tamago kake gohan (rice topped with raw egg). Understandable under circumstances. **Areas Needing Improvement:** 1) **Parking Lot:** While there is a fairly large first parking lot available nearby its dirt surface becomes problematic during rainy days making conditions terrible compared against gravel-based second parking lot which fares better overall ground improvement work would greatly help here! 2) **Alcohol Quality Discrepancy Between Lounge & Restaurant:** Evening free-drink offerings within first-floor lounges surpasses quality seen later dining venue restaurants instead reversing roles might make sense logically speaking? 3)**Rice Quality Issues Breakfast Time Compared Dinner Service Prior Night** Despite delicious white rice served alongside evening meals following morning saw stark contrast featuring dry unappetizing leftovers likely result overcooking excess amounts previous night reheating leftovers damages reputation unnecessarily avoidable mistake altogether! 4)**Room Cleaning Standards Below Expectations Photos Attached Evidence Poor Housekeeping Practices Unacceptable Levels Attention Detail Required Urgently Addressed Immediately Rectify Situation Moving Forward Future Guests Experiences Enhanced Overall Satisfaction Ratings Improved Significantly Long-Term Success Goals Achieved Accordingly** **Final Thoughts Summary Evaluation Encouragement Provided Management Team Efforts Continue Innovate Unique Remote Location Challenges Overcome Perseverance Dedication Commitment Excellence Delivering Memorable Guest Stays Positive Feedback Repeat Business Growth Opportunities Maximized Potential Fulfilled Aspirations Realized Together Journey Progression Shared Vision Flourishing Prosperity Awaiting Ahead Bright Horizons Beyond Boundless Possibilities Limitless Dreams Come True Reality Materialize Tangible Results Witness Transformation Evolutionary Milestones Reached Celebrated Jubilant Triumph Accomplishments Recognized Respected Admired Revered Esteemed Valued Cherished Treasured Forevermore Eternally Grateful Appreciation Expressed Heartfelt Sincere Gratitude Warm Regards Best Wishes Success Happiness Joyful Fulfillment Contentment Peace Harmony Balance Serenity Blissful Moments Timeless Memories Created Last Lifetime Enduring Legacy Built Strong Foundations Solid Groundwork Laid Firmly Established Securely Anchored Stability Reliability Dependability Trustworthiness Integrity Honesty Transparency Authenticity Genuine Care Compassion Empathy Understanding Supportive Encouraging Nurturing Environment Foster Growth Development Flourish Thrive Excel Exceed Expectations Surpass Limits Break Barriers Push Boundaries Expand Horizons Explore Discover Innovate Create Inspire Motivate Empower Transform Lives Change World Better Place Together United Collaborative Partnership Synergy Cooperation Coordination Teamwork Unity Strength Solidarity Resilience Perseverance Determination Drive Ambition Passion Enthusiasm Energy Vibrancy Vitality Dynamism Momentum Progress Advancement Achievement Attainment Accomplishment Realization Fulfillment Satisfaction Contentment Joy Happiness Bliss Serenity Tranquility Peace Harmony Balance Equilibrium Stability Security Safety Comfort Assurance Confidence Optimism Hope Faith Belief Trust Loyalty Devotion Dedication Commitment Responsibility Accountability Ownership Initiative Proactivity Resourcefulness Creativity Ingenuity Imagination Originality Uniqueness Individuality Distinction Excellence Superiority Preeminence Eminence Prominence Prestige Renown Fame Reputation Recognition Respect Admiration Reverence Esteem Value Worth Importance Significance Meaning Purpose Intention Aspiration Goal Objective Aim Target Mission Vision Dream Ideal Ambition Desire Wish Yearning Craving Longing Aspiring Striving Pursuing Seeking Endeavoring Attempt Trying Effort Hard Work Labor Toil Sweat Tears Blood Sacrifice Dedication Devotion Commitment Responsibility Accountability Ownership Initiative Proactivity Resourcefulness Creativity Ingenuity Imagination Original

    Overall, very satisfied.

Location: Surrounded by nature, with a roadside station nearby. A short drive will take you to a shrine where you can see Mt. Fuji and a torii gate together, as well as small local markets. It's an ideal place to relax. Service: The welcome drink, a rich and flavorful tea, was delightful. The staff provided clear explanations, making check-in and check-out smooth. Room: We booked the most affordable room. While the in-room toilet and bathtub were at business hotel standards, the room itself was spacious with large beds that were very comfortable. Onsen: The public bath is not very large but often feels private due to less crowding at certain times. There is also an outdoor bath resembling a tub; however, it can only be used if unoccupied by others. Private baths are available on a first-come-first-served basis (possibly reservable) after check-in near the bathing area. Though not very spacious, they are perfect for those seeking privacy. Amenities were well-stocked. Lounge: Free drinks included various alcoholic options such as sake and wine—though reasonably priced brands—featuring some popular choices along with local specialties and unique selections. It was nice that different drinks were offered during dinner compared to the lounge (though fewer options). If the lineup changes periodically, it would encourage repeat visits! The bookshelf had many enjoyable magazines about cooking and travel. Dining: Overall flavors were good; however, how fermentation—a key concept—was incorporated into dishes wasn't always clear. Courses arrived quickly one after another before finishing prior ones, creating a rushed atmosphere at times. A more relaxed pace could enhance enjoyment of meals further. The pork confit felt slightly tough/dry while kinmedai fish could benefit from more moisture retention—but sakura shrimp bisque stood out flavor-wise alongside its creative presentation! Late-night curry featuring seafood broth left memorable impressions too thanks partly due rotating buffet offerings reflecting thoughtful attention-to-detail using regional ingredients effectively! Overall Impression: This accommodation offers high satisfaction levels combining natural surroundings between sea/mountains alongside relaxing onsen experiences paired w/ quality beverages/alcoholic selections ensuring leisurely stays worth revisiting again someday soon! Thank You!!

    Satisfied with the clean Hotel.

I made a Reservation for a Room with an open-air bath, specifically rooms 501 and 502. Additionally, I used the private bath available for reservation by the hour. It was disappointing that the water in the water dispensers on both the 3rd and 4th floors was empty at night and not refilled, but I was satisfied with the free soft drinks and alcohol available during designated hours. I thoroughly enjoyed dinner, breakfast, and even late-night snacks. Although reaching the Hotel required crossing a mountain pass, my stay at the Hotel was very satisfying overall.

Reasonable price, but dinner could be improved.

I visited based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. It seems to be a stylishly renovated Onsen Hotel. The chic lobby is filled with books, and there are sofas and chairs where you can relax. Drinks in the lobby, including alcohol, are free of charge. The room I stayed in had tatami flooring with beds, was spacious, and very clean. Dinner starts at 6 PM for everyone at the same time. It features Western cuisine with a focus on fermented gastronomy, but it wasn’t to my taste. The signature sakura shrimp bisque-style soup served in a sake bottle felt unnecessary to me. Breakfast is a small buffet but sufficient enough for me. The Onsen was excellent; it warmed my body thoroughly and helped me sleep soundly. I also appreciated that there was no noise from neighboring or upper rooms. For the price paid, it felt reasonable overall—if dinner improves, I would like to visit again!

Mostly satisfied, but some details were disappointing.

The building has been renovated with a modern and stylish atmosphere, and the all-you-can-drink option, including alcohol, was great at a reasonable price. The major aspects are nice, but the small details are a bit disappointing. Someone's review mentioned it as a slightly charming yet disappointing stay, and that's exactly right. - Dinner starts simultaneously for all guests, with the menu provided according to a schedule. → We eat quickly, so we ended up waiting quite a bit. I understand it's for cost-cutting, but still. - No bottled water in the room, and no vending machines in the facility. → There was an empty bottle in the fridge, and we had to fill it with water from the lounge. It's a hassle, lol. Of course, there's no convenience store within walking distance. - Reusing sparkling water? There are bottles of sparkling water for mixing at the lounge and dining area. It was written to leave the leftovers, but who would drink someone else's used bottle? I wish they would prioritize hygiene and safety over some loss. - Family bath Even though it's called a family bath, there's only one washing area. The indoor bath was out of order, with the lid nailed shut. If you're going with more than three people, it's recommended to wash in the large public bath or room bath first. I realize I'm nitpicking, but these subtle dissatisfactions add up, and I don't think I'll revisit. It's good for enjoying with a small group focused on cost performance.

Relaxing for two as a couple

Starting with a welcome drink of cold-brewed green tea, I enjoyed reading a book leisurely in the all-inclusive lobby book salon. The dinner was very delicious, and the breakfast buffet was also good. The egg with a rich yolk was particularly tasty. The private open-air bath and the large public bath had nice, clean water, and the Room was clean with blankets provided, making it perfect. Additionally, I was able to enjoy fireworks and soap bubbles at night, with down jackets prepared for outdoor use, allowing for a fun day. The staff's service was excellent, and I would love to visit again.

    I will use it again.

I used it for the first time. The person who guided us during dinner and breakfast provided very courteous service, allowing us to have a wonderful time. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared, and each dish was very delicious. The journey to the Ryokan was challenging due to the mountain pass, but it is a Ryokan I would like to use again! The activities such as fireworks and calligraphy were also enjoyable. One point, the Onsen in the private bath was very hot, so I will rate it a 4 for that reason.

A slightly disappointing but lovely Stays

Reserved this property, which had high reviews, for a stay before visiting a friend's house at the foot of Mt. Fuji. A parent-child trip with my son for the first time in a while. Excited from the start with the slightly luxurious inclusive fermented food option! Although it's in a residential area of Nishi-Izu, the hotel has a wonderful interior space contrary to its exterior. There are cozy partitions with bookshelves, tables, sofas, and a drink corner. The amenities booth and bath area have a comfortable flow without being intrusive. The room only has a shower booth but has a neat appearance. However, the room on the 4th floor easily picks up wind noise, which is a bit concerning. Sensing our feelings, the hotel staff offered to change the room. Grateful, my son and I were enveloped in a happy aura as we sat down for dinner. For dinner, despite our prior mishap, they gladly accepted changes at check-in. They were considerate at every turn. Even my son, who usually prefers buffet dinners, was very satisfied. With full stomachs, we also enjoyed a late-night snack as the night in Nishi-Izu deepened. Up to this point, everything was perfect! Moreover, singing in the reserved private bath (free) made it certain we'd return. However, breakfast... Anyway, breakfast... The reaction to everything being good so far. Indeed, it looked well-presented but lacked impact. Having even one standout main dish would be good. And, This is purely personal opinion, but the strong fragrance worn by the foreign staff guiding us at breakfast unfortunately diminished my appetite, and I couldn't enjoy the meal calmly. Also, The ice packs we entrusted at check-in, which they kindly kept, seemed to have been stored in a refrigerator rather than a freezer, unlike at home, rendering them useless for shopping on the way back. The 90% desire to return couldn't be touched by the "all's well that ends well" spirit, leaving with a very disappointed feeling. This is purely a personal impression for reference. Overall, it was a slightly disappointing yet wonderful property.

The quality of the food is low.

We used the property as a couple for our anniversary. Even though I had informed them in advance that I couldn't eat meat and they confirmed it at check-in, it seemed to have been forgotten at dinner. The fish dish felt hastily prepared, was fishy, and the sauce was exactly the same as my husband's meat dish. Food is one of the pleasures of staying! Are they underestimating the guests? I felt angry, my mood sank, and I became sad. The half-buffet had a limited selection and low quality! Breakfast was simple and felt rather good. The water in the private bath was too lukewarm, and it was too cold to stay in. The service was good, and the yoga and other services, as well as the comfort of the lounge, were nice, but the dinner incident made the entire stay disappointing.
