Onsen is wonderful.
The onsen and buffet were highly satisfying. A variety of Japanese and Western fusion dishes were served for both dinner and breakfast, with flavors exceeding standard expectations. The onsen, a key feature of an onsen accommodation, showed great attention to detail. Despite the rain, I enjoyed three different onsens: Higo no Yu > Bungo no Yu > Kissho no Yu in terms of water quality. In terms of facility quality, it was Kissho no Yu > Bungo no Yu > Higo no Yu. If I had to choose just one to visit again, it would be Bungo no Yu. The customer service was good overall; however, there was a noticeable gap in the attitude between service staff and other personnel, which was slightly disappointing. Some older parts of the facility remain but have been partially renovated—likely due to financial constraints given its large size. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

It was a very large Onsen accommodation.
The main building's bath was spacious, and the annex's open-air baths were also large and numerous, which was amazing. I felt very relaxed. The meals were a luxurious buffet featuring plenty of local specialties, which left me completely satisfied. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I will come again.
We enjoyed an onsen tour, including Kichijo no Yu. Although the property is modern, the surrounding rustic onsen town made for an enjoyable stroll. The view from the property is overwhelming, and I highly recommend staying on the upper floors on the river side. The room was well-cleaned, and we had a very pleasant stay. The service was excellent, without the bias towards specific customer groups often found in large properties. It felt like a property that values both group and individual guests. We had a great time taking photos at the prefectural border photo spot, laughing together. Such playful touches are nice. The meals were buffet-style, but there were no long lines, allowing us to choose at a leisurely pace. Of course, the food was delicious. The downside was that the property was so large that we got lost several times. I suppose this is something one just has to get used to. However, the emergency exits were not difficult to find, and safety was well-considered. We visited during the cold season this time, so we plan to come back in a warmer season next time.
