I’d love to stay here again.

Aside from the stay hours of 16:00–10:00, it was a wonderful Hotel. I would like to stay here again when traveling to Hamamatsu.

I quickly made my next reservation as well.

Every dish was delicious. Each vegetable was carefully cut, and its natural flavor really stood out. The explanations of the dishes were excellent—so vivid that we could imagine them before tasting, which made everything even more enjoyable. We had breakfast in our Room. The gentle yet deeply flavorful pot-au-feu left a lasting impression. It was the first time we experienced a stay centered around the cuisine.

The meals and the view from the Room were excellent. It was a shame there isn’t a large public bath. I did think it would be nice if you partnered with a nearby Hotel (for an external bath)… The sommelier’s service was also great. Overall, it’s an auberge I’d like to visit again.

    The meals were excellent.

This was my first stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I was completely satisfied. The chef’s delicate dishes delighted both the eyes and the palate. Thank you for the wonderful meal. The staff’s service was also excellent. Thank you very much. Next time, I’d like to try glamping as well.

    The Best Trip

On my first visit to Lake Hamana in 50 years, I stayed at Lake Hamana Auberge Quatre Saisons, and the staff’s hospitality was outstanding. The French cuisine was exceptional, and the wine selected by the sommelier was perfect. I would love to make time to stay again on my next trip.

The food and wine were excellent.

Dinner and the paired wines were outstanding—we truly enjoyed them. The pot-au-feu at breakfast was also delicious. We were very satisfied with the service, especially the sommelier who selected the pairing wines. As for the Facility, it is quite old so some things are understandable, but we would like an outlet by the bedside, and it would be great if you could fix the BS channels not working on the TV. The food and wine were excellent, so we would love to visit again if we have the chance.

    It was delicious.

We stayed for one night with our daughter and son-in-law, along with my spouse and me. Dinner was very stylish and delicious, and we were extremely satisfied. None of the four of us knew much about wine, but they brought several bottles to our table and explained them carefully, which made it easy and fun to choose. We also felt that all the staff provided excellent hospitality. We were told the building is 35 years old, but it was very comfortable. We would definitely like to visit again.

Lake Hamana Auberge Quatre Saisons is far away, but absolutely delicious.

We stay here as our regular Accommodation when visiting Hamamatsu Flower Park once a year. The food is exceptional.

    It was comfortable and wonderful.

This may not be the first thing to mention, but the bathrobe was so fluffy! The bedding was light, soft, and warm. The sheets were comfortably pressed—not too stiff or scratchy. The hair dryer was a Salonia, and I could really feel the attention to detail. There was also cleansing oil in the bath amenities. Above all, the food was outstanding; as an auberge-style Accommodation, we even enjoyed dessert, and they kindly brought the wine we couldn’t finish back to our Room. As for the meal itself: the first tomato mousse was unmistakably tomato and immediately won me over. The appetizers offered such a variety that my eyes kept wandering across the plate. For the main meat dish I chose pork—no tough parts at all, and it was cooked perfectly. The fish was black sea bream; its fluffy texture was incredible. Even the palate-cleansing sorbet had a light mint flavor that wasn’t overpowering—perfectly balanced. Each vegetable seemed cooked in a way that suited its character, with consistent texture throughout; you could tell how carefully everything was prepared. For wine, I shared my preferred budget and tastes and ordered one bottle of red plus one pairing set for one person—but I’m sure white would be just as enjoyable here too. The restaurant has large windows as well; sitting by them felt wonderfully open and airy. The interior colors were beautiful—not just classic—and gave an overseas feel. Breakfast pot-au-feu had gentle seasoning while bringing out each vegetable’s flavor; it may look like an ordinary meal at first glance, but it felt like a high-quality breakfast focused on substance rather than volume. Also—perhaps because they can’t provide proper care when fully booked—it didn’t feel crowded at all (even if it may have been full), so we enjoyed a quiet, truly relaxing stay. Watching Lake Hamana from our Room as dusk softly fell… then heading to dinner once it became too dark to read—that way of spending time felt like the best reward and a moment of real happiness for me. If I had to mention one thing: there is a step at the Room entrance. I forgot about it and nearly tripped a few times… A small downlight like a night light near that step would make it safer. Overall though, there were no real negatives—this was a wonderful Accommodation with genuine hospitality. Since I’m sure the menu changes with each season, I’d love to visit again.”

    Delicious meals guaranteed to satisfy!

This was my first time staying here, and true to its name as an auberge, both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The dish using large shiitake mushrooms as a dinner appetizer was particularly exquisite. The pot-au-feu at breakfast was also delightful. One concern was that the lighting in the Room was dim, making it inconvenient to operate the TV, air conditioner, or smartphone. I would love to stay here again when visiting the area in the future.

    For Anniversary Celebrations

I used your services as a gift for my parents' wedding anniversary. They were truly delighted with the wonderful hospitality they received. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and they were especially satisfied with being able to choose the main meat dish and enjoy wine pairing options. The view from the Room was beautiful, and they were moved by the stunning sunrise. Thank you so much for accommodating our sudden request this time. We hope to visit again next year!

    First time using it.

It was a wonderful glamping experience. Although I was initially concerned about the "no bath, no toilet" note, both were available just outside the dome tent. Drinks are provided, but since there is no convenience store nearby, it might be better to bring your own. Dinner and breakfast are served at an outdoor dining table, so the weather could have an impact.

    Truly a Little France.

Both dinner and breakfast exceeded all my previous French dining experiences. The dinner was both abundant and of exceptional quality, leaving me completely satisfied. The staff provided professional service, making every aspect delightful. The breakfast pot-au-feu offered an unexpected yet highly satisfying start to the day. While the accommodation is simple, it truly embodies the essence of an auberge. The view from the room was breathtaking, allowing me to feel the early autumn breeze at the end of a scorching summer. Sipping a morning cup from a café au lait bowl brought back memories of my trip to France decades ago. Merci beaucoup!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

I visited Hamamatsu for the first time to see my son's new workplace. The building had an old-fashioned feel, but I was aware of this from reviews, so it didn’t bother me. There was a private sauna on the premises, and we made a reservation in advance to experience it as a family. I learned by chance during a phone call about another matter that hotel guests need to make reservations for the private sauna. Was this mentioned in the facility guide? Even though it was midsummer, we enjoyed the refreshing feeling after using the sauna. The meals were absolutely delicious. The dining staff were very polite and kind, especially towards my 87-year-old mother, which made us very happy. Although it was French cuisine, I could feel how carefully and thoughtfully each dish was prepared. While the building felt old-fashioned, the restaurant was very clean and allowed us to enjoy our meal at leisure. For breakfast, we had pot-au-feu with delicately prepared broth that felt gentle on our bodies in the morning; we all commented on how delicious it was as a family. The café latte served in café bowls had an elegant touch that reminded me of paintings I saw at The Louvre Museum. We would love to visit again. A suggestion for next time: It would be helpful if you could provide two pairs of simple footwear near where guests exit from private saunas. When stepping out of the sauna into cold water baths nearby, walking even short distances over fine gravel can hurt bare feet. Since sneakers or sandals brought by guests may get wet and cannot be worn immediately after use, providing waterproof footwear like Crocs or beach sandals would be appreciated. The view of Lake Hamana from your terrace is stunning; spending time there talking with my son became a cherished memory. My mother also seemed delighted with this trip where she reunited with her grandson (my son) after some time apart. Thank you so much to everyone at "Auberge Quatre Saisons."

    Thank you very much.

Enjoy a refreshing experience with delicious cuisine while taking in the beautiful lakeside scenery. The chicly designed Room offers a minimalist yet comfortable space, perfect for relaxation. The only concern was the difficulty in adjusting the jacuzzi water temperature. The meals were exquisite, featuring delicate dishes that were visually stunning and paired perfectly with wine, making them incredibly enjoyable. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying stay with excellent value for money. I look forward to having the opportunity to visit again!

All the dishes are incredibly delicious and highly satisfying.

The room had a slight smell, but considering the building's age, it was understandable. The drinks in the room included water, black tea, and herbal tea. Since I don't like black tea, I asked if there was a shop to buy water, and they said it's available through room service! While 24-hour room service is convenient, as I wake up at 5 AM, I could only drink water until breakfast. It's best to buy what you need at a convenience store beforehand. The dinner and breakfast here were absolutely delicious—I would love to visit again. Thank you!

    40th Wedding Anniversary

We chose this place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and enjoy a relaxing meal nearby. It had been so long since we last had French cuisine, and we were able to savor a leisurely meal while spending a wonderful time together. The service was attentive, and the main dishes, such as venison and beef, were truly delicious, making my wife very happy. The Room had a calm atmosphere with a stunning view of Lake Hamana, which made us feel that we made the right choice. Although we arrived at dusk and struggled slightly with the foreign-language labels on switches and amenities in the Room or experienced some issues with the bidet function, it all became part of an unforgettable anniversary celebration that left us fully satisfied.

The meals and staff service are excellent.

As stated in the title, this is not a Hotel to enjoy an Onsen, so the bath is a spacious and clean unit bath. The meals are excellent and plentiful. The explanation of the dishes was done carefully, and the wine explanation was very easy to understand. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the stay very comfortable. Some reviews mention overlapping with weddings, but I am not sure about that. I would like to use it again.

    The food was disappointing overall.

A parade of dishes that have lost their way after a long time. It's unclear what the intention is, what message is being conveyed, or where it's headed... If I had to name the course, it would undoubtedly be "Confusion" due to its inconsistency. Especially the dessert, which is a frozen mochi sheet daifuku. Is this a café or what?! It doesn't match the history and name.
