    It’s compact.

    Since I arrived late and left early the next morning, I chose this place for value for money and simply to get some sleep. The Room is compact but clean. The bathroom is also compact, but it was fine. The toilet and bathroom are separated, but they are behind a single door. No issues at all if you’re staying alone. Breakfast included some local specialties, which was a nice touch. The staff were kind, and their smiles really made me happy!

    Great location.

    I stayed here as a solo traveler. It’s fair to call this a hotel area, with multiple Hotels along the main road. There are plenty of shops, the beach is close, and overall it’s extremely convenient. The staff, Facility, and services were all excellent. The Room was a standard size and felt clean and well maintained. There’s a shallow beach right in front of the Hotel, so you can snorkel as much as you like. The snorkeling tour I had planned was canceled due to bad weather, but when I asked the Hotel staff for advice they lent me a life jacket for free, so I was still able to enjoy snorkeling in the sea right out front. They only provided a life jacket—there was no snorkel set available. It would be even better if snorkel sets could be rented.

    I stayed here during my trip to Miyakojima.

    This was our third stay. Because it is away from the city center, it is very quiet, and access to Shigira Beach is excellent. The front desk staff were very kind and the breakfast was delicious, so we would like to stay again.

    The most affordable Hotel in Shigira Resort

    Located in the heart of Shigira Resort, this property offers an exceptionally convenient location within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the Onsen. While it is the most reasonably priced option in the resort, the Room is clean and well maintained, with a separate bath and toilet for excellent comfort and usability. The breakfast buffet features a satisfying selection, including Okinawan dishes made with local ingredients that you can enjoy casually. It felt like a highly practical base for guests who want to explore the resort efficiently.

    Sunrise View from the Balcony

    On my first trip to Miyakojima, I chose this Hotel—the most casual-looking within the Shigira Resort—and went with a Room with a balcony and a great ocean view. The Onsen was appealing too, but it costs extra. Still, I was moved by the beautiful sunrise, and the generous breakfast buffet truly left me satisfied, letting me start the day in the best mood. The buffet was well replenished even at later hours, and the selection changed slightly between the first and second day. If I get the chance, I will definitely return.

    The connecting rooms were great!

    Affordable Option Within Shigira Resort! We stayed in a connecting room for a family of four. The rooms were connected inside, with separate bathrooms and sinks, making it extremely comfortable. The walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear voices from the hallway while sleeping, but it was within an acceptable range. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, which left us very satisfied. We would love to stay here again!

    It was my first time staying at a hotel in Shigira Resort, and I stayed in a Coral Twin Room this time. I was able to stay affordably by using IKYU points and IKYU hometown tax benefits. The staff were very cheerful and kind, promptly assisting me when I forgot my card key in the room or needed currency exchange. Even the cleaning staff greeted me warmly, which was nice. The ocean-view Coral Twin Room felt slightly small, but since I was out most of the day, it wasn't an issue. The bathroom wasn't a unit bath; it had a spacious layout which I appreciated. I later found out that booking through the official website includes a free pass for Shigira Golden Onsen. However, during check-in, they informed me that downloading the Shigira official app provides discounts for Golden Onsen as well as other Shigira Group facilities. There is also a free shuttle bus within Shigira Resort. For example, you can take the bus from Santa Monica to Nanpu Yatai Village to enjoy food and drinks before heading back. For breakfast, Okinawan dishes seemed more abundant than Western options—the Jushi rice balls were delicious. Santa Monica does not have its own shop; however, it mentioned that alcohol and light snacks could be purchased at the front desk. It might be better to buy snacks like sweets at convenience stores or supermarkets beforehand—hence why I rated dining 4 stars. For those who are active during the day, this is an affordable and clean hotel that's highly recommended!

    First Time in Miyako Island

    The room was a bit small for a family of three (though we were able to open our suitcases). The bathroom seemed renovated, clean, and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable with a wide variety as mentioned in the reviews. The staff's service was also commendable.

    As a casual Hotel...

    Stay at the accommodation for one night after Golden Week. This was my second stay here, as it was the designated accommodation when I visited Miyako Island for work four years ago. During my previous stay in February, there were very few guests, but this time it seemed almost fully booked with many visitors. Breakfast, which usually starts at 7:00 AM, was available from 6:00 AM. Last time, breakfast was a buffet where you could choose a main dish from three options, including items like caviar. It left such an impression that I decided to return privately this time. However, perhaps due to rising costs, the breakfast wasn’t as impressive as before and had become more like a typical hotel buffet. That said, there were still plenty of options available as before. Despite slightly strong winds on the terrace during breakfast, I enjoyed dining outdoors and felt satisfied overall. As for the room—based on photos—I expected a high-powered "Monster" hairdryer to be provided but found only a smaller budget model instead. After requesting an exchange at reception, they replaced it promptly but asked if there had been any issues with the original dryer... Since I have long hair down to my waist that requires high airflow dryers for convenience—it would’ve been nice if staff anticipated such needs better beforehand. Additionally regarding room wear: although booked under double occupancy arrangements—only one free-size garment alongside another small-sized option (S) were provided initially; requiring yet another trip back toward reception seeking replacements since size S proved unsuitable altogether. While these may seem minor inconveniences—and considering pricing remains reasonable overall—it’d still enhance guest experiences should improvements address such details moving forward. On positive notes though—the water pressure within showers (a common concern across Miyakojima accommodations) posed no problems whatsoever while bathrooms themselves appeared clean spaciously designed ensuring comfortable usage throughout stays alike! Some observations worth mentioning include limited seating availability poolside where belongings occupied chairs making accessibility difficult unless current users vacated spaces entirely beforehand; meanwhile complimentary ice retrievals via coin-laundry areas proved convenient albeit marred slightly by surrounding trash accumulations detracting appeal somewhat especially late-night instances yielding minimal supplies remaining therein ultimately detracting impressions further unfortunately... Despite aforementioned drawbacks however—as casual hotels go factoring affordability into account particularly—it remains highly recommendable towards budget-conscious travelers seeking quality accommodations without breaking bank constraints!

    Shigira Resort

    Stayed at the Coral Balcony (45 sqm with terrace) at Hot Cross Point Santa Monica. The balcony offers a stunning ocean view, and the room was impeccably clean, making for a very pleasant stay. This is a hotel I would love to stay at again when visiting Miyako Island.

    Breakfast is plentiful.

    I chose the breakfast-included option because the reviews rated it highly. The menu changed daily, offering a wide variety of delicious options, and I was very satisfied. The room seemed to have thin walls as I could hear voices at times... However, both the room and bathroom were very clean.

    The breakfast is excellent.

    I stayed for one night during the off-season. It’s a simple Hotel, but the breakfast buffet is excellent. Since it was winter, I couldn’t use the pool, but there was a sauna, and although small, the jacuzzi was enjoyable in its own way. It might be a good idea to aim for the cheaper off-season period. Overall, it was a satisfying Hotel!

    Recommended Hotel at Shigira Resort

    I use it 2-3 times a year. I have used the higher-ranked hotels in the resort, but for someone like me who enjoys the sea during the day, this is the best. The staff, pool, sauna, breakfast, and Shigira Onsen (additional fee required) make it the best Hotel in Miyakojima. I only bring the bare minimum of luggage, so comfortable pajamas are a great help.

    Satisfied as a casual Hotel in the resort

    I had a very enjoyable stay. First of all, I am grateful for the kind and courteous service of the staff. During my 4-night stay, I asked the front desk several times about various things, such as how to get to certain places, and they always responded with a kind smile, which reassured me. The room with a terrace was not too spacious, and perhaps because the arrangement of the bed and sofa was appropriate, it was a room where I could relax as if I were at home. I think the view from the terrace, including the freshly painted walls, was well-maintained. I was satisfied with the bath, toilet, and washbasin, but I think it would be nice to have an L-shaped handrail next to the bathtub to ease tension. The breakfast menu was casual and adequate except for Friday morning. On Friday morning, the seasoning was harsh for a couple over sixty who prefer Japanese cuisine. Since the hotel does not serve dinner, we had to go out for all our meals, so we needed to limit our alcohol consumption to avoid stumbling when getting on and off the shuttle bus. I have been to Okinawa Prefecture, including other remote islands, nearly ten times, and this was my second time on Miyako Island, but since it was my first time at the vast Shigira Resort, I couldn't get the hang of moving around until the third day. I ended up exhausted walking to the food stall village, and my wife's mood was spoiled by the rain, making me wish the restaurant was open. Overall, I think it was a wonderful hotel with five-star room facilities and service staff. Thank you very much.

    The staff's response

    It was simply wonderful! They kindly and courteously accommodated even difficult requests. I took my parents, and the breakfast was different and delicious every time. The pool and sauna were also available, which was fantastic! I will definitely use it again.

    The Room was not spa...

    The Room was not spacious, but it had everything necessary and was still new and clean. The bathroom had a washing area and the toilet was separate, but it was a bit odd that there was no door for the toilet. It was nice to have a view of the sea from the Room.
