    Satisfied with both the Room and the meals.

    Unfortunately, it was raining due to a typhoon and the Yoshino River was swollen and muddy, but thanks to the wonderful hospitality at Kazuraya, it became a great memory. Every dinner dish was delicious, and the difference in flavors compared with the Kanto region felt refreshingly new. Dinner portions were quite generous, so I couldn’t finish breakfast—such a shame… The Room was spacious and very clean; it almost felt like a waste for just one night. There’s only a mirror in the wash area, so it was a bit dark and inconvenient for doing makeup. A small handheld makeup mirror or an extra simple mirror would be helpful. There are many stairs and it isn’t barrier-free, so I’d like to visit again while I’m still fit. Overall, I think this is a very comfortable Ryokan!

    This quiet hot sprin...

    This quiet hot spring hotel is tucked away in the mountains of Iya, surrounded by beautiful nature. A highlight is the open-air bath, where you can unwind to the sound of the river. The natural hot spring waters are deeply soothing and leave you feeling refreshed. Meals made with local ingredients are delicious and beautifully presented. While getting here takes a bit of effort, the peaceful atmosphere makes for a truly special and memorable stay.

    Warm hospitality in a hidden retreat

    The hospitality of the accommodation staff was exceptional. We fully enjoyed the unique scenery, onsen, and fresh air of this hidden gem with all our senses.

    It offers a cozy and pleasant atmosphere.

    The room had a nostalgic feel reminiscent of Showa-era public accommodations. There are long stairs from the entrance to the front desk and from the hallway to the bath (no elevator available). The bath area, including both the dressing room and bathing area, was cold, and since you need to step outside to access the dining area, it might not be suitable for elderly guests. The outdoor bath is small. There is no shop or vending machine (drinks and some snacks can be purchased at the front desk during limited hours). Given these facilities, I initially wondered why this accommodation has such good reviews... However, being a small accommodation means that both the bath and dining area are close to your room, making movement stress-free. Additionally, the staff were efficient and provided pleasant service. The meals did not include common items like "tuna sashimi," "shrimp tempura," or "meat on a hot plate," but instead offered local dishes in appropriate portions, which was delightful. Depending on what you seek in an accommodation, preferences may vary; however, my companion remarked that it’s “a great place” and expressed a desire to return again someday.     Thank you for your hospitality. The food was delicious, and it was great to enjoy a variety of local dishes. The Onsen was also wonderful. The first bowl of rice was tasty, but it was a bit disappointing that the second bowl I had as a refill was cold. That would be my only minor complaint. The hot pot and the buckwheat soup were also very delicious. Thank you very much!

    It was excellent.

    The newly renovated and impeccably clean room was delightful, and the entire facility was spotless. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious with a wide variety of options, which was impressive. The Shuttle Service to the bus stop was very helpful. The serene mountain atmosphere provided a truly relaxing experience. I would love to stay here again!

    You can fully enjoy the charm of Iya.

    Located near Kazurabashi, this accommodation is built against the steep mountain slopes, offering a strong sense of Iya's charm. Recently renovated in May, the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable with the fresh scent of new tatami mats and brand-new sofas. While the large public bath is not an Onsen, the open-air bath uses Iya Onsen water, which felt refreshing and perfect for hot seasons. Meals were served in a spacious private dining room with a traditional atmosphere, featuring local ingredients such as wild vegetables, mushrooms, char fish (Iwana), pheasant (Kiji), soba rice, and more. The staff were all friendly and engaging in conversation that brought Iya closer to our hearts. Considering this level of service at such an affordable price point is remarkable. We would love to stay here again!

    Relaxing Accommodation

    The staff's warm and refreshing hospitality and the dishes made with local ingredients were truly satisfying. I especially loved the spacious terrace seating, where I could enjoy close-up views of the Iya mountain range and the clear sky.

    The staff is wonderful. They responded promptly with genuine smiles. I feel a sense of cleanliness in the Room and the building itself. The meals and bath were also good, so I would like to visit again.

    I was healed.

    Both the indoor and outdoor baths were clean, and perhaps because of the timing, I was able to relax as if I had them almost to myself. The dinner was so plentiful that I couldn't finish it, the broth was delicious, and I was impressed that they accommodated allergies other than soba. The service was excellent, thank you very much.

    It was a relaxing inn.

    It was a perfectly sized accommodation where I could relax. Everyone came together to provide hospitality, making the most of the wonderful location. I have made another great travel memory.
