    We had a relaxing and leisurely stay.

    The Room, Onsen, and lobby offer ocean views, with excellent hot water for a relaxing experience. The serving staff and other team members were friendly and made the stay enjoyable. Dinner was delicious, featuring appetizers, abalone, and sashimi.

    Facility Issues

    The outdoor rock Onsen was unavailable due to a boiler malfunction, leaving only one open-air bath, which alternated between women at night and men in the morning. As a Ryokan known for its cuisine and Onsen, it was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the air conditioner in the room had immobile vents, making it feel slightly cold. The Facility seemed outdated and possibly poorly maintained. However, the food was delicious.

    Very different from the photos.

    I booked a corner room with a bed to take my elderly parents, who tend to stay indoors due to the heat, to an onsen during the Obon holiday. To be honest, the quality of the accommodation was not worth paying just over 200,000 yen for five people. The room, food, and ryokan structure were all far below expectations. The tatami in the room was shabby, and I got bitten by a caterpillar while sleeping. The design is completely unsuitable for elderly guests; you have to use stairs just to get to the large communal bath, and as for the open-air bath, you need to cross a road and go up and down stairs. There was no bath in our room either. Since it’s advertised as a culinary ryokan, I at least expected good food—but even abalone turned out to be something like small shellfish. Too many dishes used solid fuel burners. The lack of proper dashi made me unusually thirsty afterward. The tableware looked worn out with faded patterns; when it arrived at our table like that, I felt like crying because I had brought my parents here expecting better quality. I feel deceived by photos and reviews online. Never going back again!

    Clam digging with my daughter

    Stayed with my elementary school daughter after clam digging at Ako Seaside Park Beach. The clams we collected were kindly stored and well-managed, allowing us to enjoy them deliciously. Of course, the meals and bath were also excellent. The Facility rating is 3 stars because it’s slightly old, which is understandable.

    Full Moon Over the Seto Inland Sea

    The room is a corner room with a living area, offering a wide view and a spacious, comfortable atmosphere. The outdoor bath across the street operates on a gender rotation system, and the open-air bath was excellent. The grilled oysters we added to our meal were delicious.
