    A budget-friendly Hotel that does its best; we enjoyed watching fireflies.

    This was my second stay. Last time, I really enjoyed the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Butter-Grilled Autumn Salmon & Mushrooms” course, so this time I chose the classic Plan with a kaiseki meal featuring Mihara’s specialty octopus shabu-shabu and lava-grilled domestic beef. Despite the weak yen continuing due to factors such as the Middle East situation and rising prices overall, it seems they are doing their best with little to no price increase; however, that may be why the meal felt noticeably less satisfying, and I felt the portion size would not be enough for younger families raising children. For guests who want to focus on dining, it would be helpful to recommend choosing a course labeled [Cuisine-Focused]. Even so, the pricing still offers excellent value for money. This year, it seems the “Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms and Autumn Salmon” course is not being offered, but I hope they will bring it back even if it costs more. This time, we were also able to enjoy fireflies near the Hotel due to the season. The staff are kind, and it’s a great-value Hotel—so I hope they continue offering Plans that let guests fully enjoy delicious food.

    A simple and courteous accommodation

    A simple accommodation that combines the best aspects of hotels, ryokans, and guesthouses. While it may not be luxurious or stylish in terms of service, rooms, or meals, it offers a heartwarming experience. The handmade gift envelopes you receive reflect this warmth.     One-Night Trip with Parents

    I booked 2 Rooms with my parents. The adjacent Rooms were prepared, allowing us to check on each other easily, which was very helpful. The temperature in the women's bath felt slightly low, but I felt warm and cozy after bathing. There were hanten provided, but since it is located on a mountain, walking through outdoor corridors or dining in the restaurant made my feet feel cold. For those concerned about this, I recommend preparing something to wear under your yukata. The meals were extremely delicious with excellent quality and quantity. I would love to stay here again if given the opportunity!

    [Title] Recommended Hotel for Stargazers

    The hotel is located in a secluded mountainous area north of Hiroshima Airport, surrounded by sparse human habitation and abundant nature. The accommodation cost is very affordable, and the room provided was reasonably spacious but modestly equipped with simple amenities and beverages. However, upgrading the dinner to the "Sukiyaki with Matsutake Mushrooms & Autumn Salmon with Buttered Mushrooms Course" offered an exceptional dining experience. The sukiyaki featured high-quality beef and fragrant matsutake mushrooms, while the autumn salmon dish was exquisite. The meal also included a delicious salmon roe rice bowl, making it an outstanding dinner that far exceeded expectations for the price. The hotel features a planetarium and a professional astronomical telescope. Before dinner, guests can enjoy a planetarium session explaining seasonal constellations along with Greek mythology. After dinner, visitors are guided to the telescope dome to observe actual celestial objects such as Vega (Orihime), Altair (Hikoboshi), M29 open cluster, double stars, Andromeda Galaxy, and finally Saturn. Observing Saturn's rings from Earth's current angle made it appear like skewered dumplings—a fascinating sight. This hotel is highly recommended for those interested in astronomy or families visiting with children or grandchildren who might develop an interest in stargazing through this unique experience. One suggestion for improvement: In the men's large public bathhouse, water flows vigorously into the main bath like a waterfall; however, about half of the bath becomes uncomfortable due to splashing water. Reducing this flow slightly could create a more relaxing atmosphere for guests.

    The staff at the Ryo...

    The staff at the Ryokan were incredibly attentive, allowing us to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The observatory left our entire family in awe.

    Meals accommodating allergies

    We stayed on a one-night, two-meal plan with my mother and sister. The accommodation is located deep in the mountains. There are several separate buildings that serve as guest rooms, and you need to step outside from the reception area to reach each room, which is a unique layout. The room was spacious and charming. From the large window, we could see Hakuryu Lake; it must have been an amazing view if it had been sunny. There was a triangular building that turned out to be a planetarium when we checked it out. Guests can choose between stargazing or using the planetarium during their stay; since it was raining, we opted for the planetarium. The day before our stay, they sent an email asking about allergies. I informed them about my wheat allergy, and they prepared meals without wheat for me—it was truly touching! The dishes were beautifully presented and meticulously prepared. However, while we felt full after eating, I thought portions might not be enough for men with bigger appetites. Being in the mountains with minimal light pollution makes this place perfect for stargazing—I’d love to visit again on a clear day!

    The best Property

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and every meal was varied and absolutely delicious. The Onsen's water quality was gentle and helped relieve my fatigue. There was also a planetarium and stargazing, and the beautiful view of the stars was truly moving. For families with children, there are separate accommodations, so no matter how noisy it gets, it's not a problem. The staff were friendly and left a great impression. The view overlooking Hakuryu Lake is reminiscent of Scandinavia. I plan to stay here again the next time I visit Hiroshima.

    Comfortable...

    I was able to stay in a calm atmosphere. In addition to the usual purposes of dining and bathing, I also enjoyed various events such as the view from the room, private rock baths, and a planetarium. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodated our requests pleasantly, making our stay comfortable. I think it is one of the recommended stays.

    A healing Ryokan

    Thank you very much for this time. I have visited various Ryokans, but I really liked this one. I was delighted that the staff at the Ryokan gave us such a warm welcome. I gave it 4 stars because there weren't enough toothbrush amenities, there was quite a bit of black in the cabbage in the hot pot, and the texture of the apple was disappointing. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and the portions were just right. I would like to stay again, so please make improvements. I was very soothed by the planetarium and the view from the Room. I will definitely visit again, thank you very much for this time.
