    Perfect for a relaxing Onsen getaway by train

    Walking from Hakone-Yumoto Station while browsing for souvenirs, then passing through the main street lined with shops, it was also a delight to reach the Accommodation while being soothed by the lush riverside scenery. The all-you-can-drink service during our stay was also great, with a wide selection including draft beer and sparkling wine. For dinner, we chose the seafood shabu-shabu Plan, and it came not only with several kinds of fish but also scallops and crab; there were plenty of vegetables as well, and everything was delicious. The other dishes were served in small portions so we could enjoy a variety of items, and they looked beautiful too—we enjoyed them very much. Breakfast was also colorful and wholesome, with steamed vegetables, grilled fish, rice accompaniments, and more—delicious food that felt gentle on the body. Neither meal felt lacking at all, but it also wasn’t so much that we couldn’t finish—just the right level of fullness. The Room was clean, comfortable, and easy to relax in. The view from the Room was green and pleasant as well, though artificial fencing made it slightly disappointing. The Onsen was comfortable in temperature and very relaxing in both the large public bath and the private bath. The ice pops after bathing were also a welcome service. All of the staff had wonderful smiles and were kind throughout our stay, making us feel very comfortable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    My daughter stayed with you during her trip to Hakone. She referred to the Reviews on IKYU, and said she was able to relax and really enjoyed her stay. We also appreciated your contacting us in advance to explain the Hot Spring Tax. On the day of arrival, she ended up arriving late because she was out sightseeing, and we understand you called her—thank you, and we apologize for any concern this may have caused. Overall, the bath facilities were excellent, and the amenities were well stocked. She usually doesn’t stay until right before check-out, but this time she was able to relax right up until the last minute. The all-you-can-drink option is also something that younger guests will be very happy with. We would love to stay again when visiting Hakone. Thank you very much.

    Because children are not accepted, we were able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay. Both dinner and breakfast were served at assigned seats, so we could dine comfortably. The service was excellent. It was also nice to have drinks available at the free counter. It was great that we could use the private bath without a Reservation. Two things were disappointing: the ventilation in the Room washroom was weak, and the in-room bath is not an Onsen.

    Excellent value for money!

    I stayed at a Kyoritsu Resort property a few years ago, and this was my first visit in quite a while. Room: Simple and easy to use. The TV was large, which was nice. Baths: The private open-air bath provided with the Room was on a spacious terrace and was excellent. Since it’s this season, there were quite a few insects. The large public bath has two baths—an indoor bath and an open-air bath. I initially thought it might be a bit small, but it wasn’t crowded and was comfortable to use. Meals: Average. I don’t think the meat quality is very good. It was disappointing that the carbonated drinks in the all-you-can-drink alcohol option were flat. The alcohol also tasted weak, and the wine wasn’t chilled. I think satisfaction would improve just by upgrading the drink quality. Portion sizes were just right. For anyone who just wants to go to an Onsen for a quick getaway, it’s good value for money and recommended. It’s also within walking distance from the station. Personally, I wouldn’t choose it for anniversaries or special occasions. The view from the Room was amazing (photo), and the 24-hour drink bar was really helpful!

    We stayed with the Maternity Plan. This Hotel is within walking distance of Hakone-Yumoto Station, and we felt comfortable staying here even during pregnancy. The staff provided excellent service, and our stay was very pleasant. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. We were told we could choose only one option—either an allergy-friendly meal or a maternity meal—but they informed us in advance which dishes contained allergens, so we were able to manage on our own and felt reassured. The only small concern was finding hair that did not belong to us in the Room and the in-room bath, but otherwise we were completely satisfied.

    New and clean

    New and clean Both the Room and the bath were spotless, which was great. There were many young staff members, giving it a casual atmosphere. The all-you-can-drink beverage bar and coffee were convenient. The late-night soba was also good. Overall, I was very satisfied!! Only the large public bath has natural Onsen water. The bath in the Room uses regular hot water. Still, I could relax in it while enjoying the night breeze on the balcony.

    Summer Onsen Trip

    I stayed here on a weekend in late July. Since it was hot, I skipped sightseeing and decided to relax in the onsen at Hakone Yumoto. The room with an open-air bath was spacious and satisfying. The public bath was small but enjoyable enough. The drink bar offered unlimited drinks, and both dinner and breakfast were visually delightful dishes. Next time, I would like to visit around autumn when I can enjoy the onsen more leisurely.

    We stayed as a group of three friends. Having visited several times with family, we felt comfortable staying here again. Here are a few points of concern: ① The ceiling at the entrance of the dining area was peeling, and it was disappointing to see that it hadn't been fixed since our last visit. ② Please check the bidet part of the toilet in the Room; it was completely black. This issue also occurred in another Room we used during a family stay. While we love Kyoritsu Resort and use other Facilities as well, cleaning in this area should be reviewed. ③ The breakfast staff's explanation was too fast for all three of us to understand clearly. It might be better to address this during training sessions. We look forward to staying again! Thank you!

    Trust in Kyoritsu Resort has been lost.

    The service and facility levels are lower compared to other Kyoritsu Resorts. In particular, the staff's performance was subpar, and the service during meals was unpleasant. The facility showed noticeable wear and tear, especially at the entrance of the dining area, which lacked cleanliness. For dinner, the portions of main dishes like shabu-shabu and sukiyaki were excessive. Additionally, serving rice along with udon as a closing dish made it impossible to finish everything. Serving rice simultaneously with shabu-shabu or sukiyaki also seemed unnecessary. While other dishes apart from sukiyaki were not poorly prepared, the vegetable preparation for shabu-shabu and sukiyaki felt careless. Breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent—just one express train ride from Shinjuku and about a 5-minute walk from the station. Although I understand this is not a luxury accommodation, there were too many disappointments during my stay.

    A serene atmosphere with stunning views.

    I traveled to Hakone with my daughter for the first time. We enjoyed soaking multiple times in the large public bath, private bath, and the open-air bath attached to our Room, which truly relieved our fatigue. Dinner was served in our Room, allowing us to relax and enjoy it comfortably. Both breakfast and dinner featured plenty of vegetables and were delicious. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, which was a bit regretful!

    It was wonderful. The Room and Facility were perfect. The food was delicious. However, it was a bit disappointing that during meals it felt crowded, and the staff seemed rushed, which made it less relaxing. I would love to visit again.

    It was the best stay!

    I went on a trip with a pregnant friend, and each thoughtful gesture was very much appreciated. Also, the hospitality unique to Kyoritsu Resort (free drinks, ice cream, yonaki soba) lifted our spirits! It's a property I would like to visit again.

    The hygiene and cheap presentation are disappointing.

    Overall, it's decent. The scenery and interior are somewhat cheap, but the all-you-can-drink option including alcohol, the substantial meal offerings, and the bath outside the Room make it feel relatively cost-effective. It's not a long walk from Yumoto Station, so access is not bad. If you walk a bit, there's a convenience store-like place operated by another Hotel. It might be just right for a short trip for young people. However, it might not satisfy those seeking luxury or an extraordinary experience. One concerning point is the lack of attention to hygiene, which is critical for a Hotel. The steamer provided in the Room might be appreciated by women, but opening the lid was shocking. The water tank was covered with yellow stains, and there were black stains that might be mold. It was clear that it hadn't been maintained for a while. It would be better to remove it rather than advertise it as a feature. I wonder if it could have been replaced if I had mentioned it to the front desk. It was shocking, to say the least. The bathhouse sometimes had a sewage-like smell. The large bath is not very spacious. I used one of the private baths, but it had no windows and no particularly good view, so it was just like a slightly larger bath. The view from the bath outside the Room seems better on the side facing the road. The Room I stayed in was on the back side, so it faced a mountain slope-like wall. Also, the cheap music in the rooftop garden was disappointing. Even though you can see the sky and mountains, and during the day birds come close and you can hear their chirping, the presumably thoughtful piano BGM was loud. The birds were chirping right there, and the piano was even louder, creating chaos. People coming to Hakone are likely seeking relaxation, and it's unfortunate that the lack of sense in disturbing the richness of nature is disappointing. Even just removing the music would allow for a relaxing time with a coffee there.

    For your honeymoon

    I had the pleasure of staying at this Ryokan. The Room was clean, and the outdoor private bath was excellent. I was delighted with the gift of a pair of chopsticks with a lovely message from the Ryokan staff on the table in the Room. I will cherish and use them. I would love to stay here again.

    I had a fun and relaxing time.

    We used the accommodation for a one-night, two-day trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Room was more spacious than expected, and it had a private bath, allowing us to relax after returning from outings. We chose to have our meals in the Room, and there were many dishes, with the main shabu-shabu being delicious. Was the beer service a gesture for our wedding anniversary? We were very pleased to receive a commemorative gift as well. Breakfast was also individually set, with a variety of dishes, including the option to further heat the fish and steamed vegetables, making it a truly satisfying stay. The private bath was nice, but personally, I preferred the large public bath. However, I think it suits those who want to enjoy it with a small group. As a result, we didn't have the chance to use the Room's bath, but I would like to try it next time. The Facility was clean and calm, and the service was courteous, so I would like to use it again.
