The view from the room is amazing.

Guest Rooms & Amenities The Room was bright and clean, with two windows and a view of the rotating bridge. No personalized towels provided. Staff & Service Only the staff member at the shop (male) did not seem very friendly. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. They helped on arrival, but on departure it was self-service, and carrying luggage down the fairly narrow stairs was a bit tough. The parking lot is also far from the Accommodation and inconvenient. It would be nice to have a Shuttle Service. The food looked great and tasted great. However, the timing of when dishes were served didn’t line up well, so dinner took quite a long time. Right in front of Chion-ji Temple, with souvenir shops nearby—also close to sightseeing boats, Amanohashidate, and the rotating bridge—an excellent location.

    It was a comfortable accommodation.

The food was excellent. Each dish had a unique local touch, and even though we ate until we were full, it didn’t feel heavy. We really appreciated the thoughtful hospitality. It was easy to ask for advice on how to spend our time, and this is an Accommodation we’d love to stay at again in a different season.\nThe stairs are steep, so you need to be careful, but I’d still like to bring my mother.

    A Historic Accommodation

Located at the foot of Amanohashidate’s Kaisenkyo Rotating Bridge, we were able to watch it rotate from inside our Room. Since it was a weekday, it could only be seen in the morning, so we probably wouldn’t have been able to see it from another Accommodation. With a long history, this is an older Accommodation, but it is very well maintained and was excellent. The meals were also very delicious.

You’ll want to come back again and again!!

We visited for my daughter’s university graduation trip. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out! The meals were outstanding, the local sake was excellent, and the service was flawless! It was the best day—warm, relaxing, and with just the right level of attentiveness. We will definitely come again. We were incredibly lucky to see the rotating bridge—something you might see if you’re fortunate—three times from our Room. Thank you very much.

The Room with a terrace was excellent.

The Accommodation is in a great location, and the Room with a terrace had an amazing view and was perfect. The staff were very welcoming, and the meals offered a wide variety of options with excellent seasoning. I recommended it to my friends.

    I was looking forwar...

I was looking forward to enjoying the Onsen, but both the changing room and the bath were very small, and there was no view of the outside, which was very disappointing. Two of the three bathtubs were too lukewarm. There was little sense of hospitality, and it was my first time at a Ryokan where I had to take my shoes out of the shoe locker myself upon departure. The food being delicious was a saving grace.

The view from the window is stunning.

We stayed for two nights with my daughter. The view from the room was spectacular. Through the vividly red autumn leaves, we could see the rotating bridge and the pine tree-lined path of Amanohashidate. It was like a postcard framed by the window. The meals were incredibly delicious, especially the fresh seafood which was truly impressive. The beautifully presented seasonal dishes and shiny local Koshihikari rice were so tasty that I had multiple servings. The accommodation mainly hosted adults, including international guests, and everyone had good manners, making our stay very pleasant. The room was clean, and its convenient location made it an excellent base for activities. However, I deducted one star because the women's bath felt slightly cold—perhaps due to its design preventing steam buildup—but overall, it was a fantastic accommodation that I highly recommend! Thank you for your hospitality!

A historic Ryokan located right in front of Amanohashidate.

During our Saigoku pilgrimage, my wife and I visited this historic Ryokan, Taikyourou, which is located closest to Amanohashidate and right next to Chionji Temple. The stone-paved streets, the temple, and Taikyourou blended perfectly together, creating a very charming atmosphere. Upon entering the Ryokan, we were greeted by a cozy wooden table and chairs with an irori (traditional Japanese hearth). We checked in there and received explanations about the facilities and how to use them. We also decided on the times for dinner and breakfast. The room we were guided to had a great view of Kaisen Bridge. It featured thick historical beams with twin beds set on tatami mats, providing a very relaxing ambiance. From our room, we could clearly hear explanations about Kaisen Bridge being given on-site. The meals made extensive use of local ingredients with original touches that made them incredibly delicious. There was also a variety of sake available; several types of local sake could be enjoyed through tasting sets featuring three kinds for comparison. Breakfast included items cooked lightly on an iron plate right in front of us—fish, vegetables, satsuma-age (fried fish cakes), among others—and was delightful. The rice came piping hot in an ohitsu (wooden container), pairing perfectly with clam miso soup; I ended up having two servings. I have never felt such a strong desire to revisit both this accommodation and its surrounding area as I did during this stay.

    Relaxing Accommodation

Five years ago, before the pandemic, I visited Amanohashidate. This time, I first explored Ine and Amanohashidate Fuchu before staying at "Taikyourou" accommodation. Previously, my visit was limited to sightseeing in Amanohashidate Monju without much time to relax. However, the accommodation "Taikyourou," located near the rotating bridge, left a lasting impression on me. I had always wanted to stay there if given the chance. Although it is said that reservations are hard to secure, I was fortunate enough to stay this time. It is an accommodation that satisfies in every way—its architecture, staff hospitality, cuisine, and facilities all provide a perfectly relaxing experience. I would love to visit again!

    Unfortunately.

The Room and service were good, but the meal portions were smaller than expected, which was disappointing. It would have been better if there was a bit more quantity.

    Clean and warm hospitality

I visited Amanohashidate for the first time and stayed at a property. Despite the year-end crowds and the weather alternating between rain and clear skies, once I stepped into the stays, it was quiet and filled with warm hospitality. At check-in, they kindly explained the local attractions in detail and welcomed us with delicious mochi and tea. Both the room and the large public bath were clean and comfortable to use everywhere. The room was a bit cold and didn't warm up completely even after raising the heating temperature, but I thought I could manage by warming up in the onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

    While retaining a go...

While retaining a good sense of antiquity, the room was clean and very comfortable to stay in. The stairs are a bit steep, but within an acceptable range. The staff at the property were very kind and wonderful. The meals were just the right amount and delicious.

    I enjoyed my stay.

Thank you for giving us a Room with a great view of the drawbridge. It was a happy stay with the best view. The meals were all carefully seasoned and delicious, but I especially liked the roast beef at night and the simmered dishes in the morning. The staff's warm hospitality made us feel comfortable.
