    At IKYU, it was cate...

    At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

    Healing for the Mind and Body

    I stayed here a few years ago and decided to return as the place had been renovated. The staff were all kind and attentive, and just talking with them was soothing. The meals were not overly extravagant or filled with surprising dishes, but they were warm, comforting, and truly relaxing. The Onsen had the perfect water temperature, which was very enjoyable. One small disappointment was that having a floor chair in the room would have made it more comfortable to watch TV. It would also have been better if the massage chair was positioned so you could watch TV while using it. Still, I had a wonderfully relaxing time overall. My husband also said he loved staying at Shūgetsu again and was very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Girls' Trip

    The autumn leaves of the mountains and the lighthouse azaleas on the way to the Stays were very beautiful. We were guided to a detached Room from the parking lot. The Room had a bedroom, a Japanese-style room, a sunroom, a bath, it was spacious, and very clean, we were very satisfied. We immediately enjoyed the family bath. The quality of the water was very good, and when we opened the window, the trees were beautiful. Dinner was also in a private room, and we enjoyed the blessings of the mountains. It was very delicious. This time it was a trip with four women, but we saw the spirit of hospitality throughout the Stays, and we talked about wanting to come again as we left. Thank you very much.
