YATSUGATAKE KOGEN RESORT

For vacations of two days or more, I choose a vacation rental rather than a Hotel or an Onsen Ryokan. From my experience with several rentals, prices and the quality of Facility management vary widely depending on the operator. This property is well maintained with no musty smell inside, towels can be replaced if you go to the management office yourself, the price is reasonable, and the area is quiet—I'd happily stay here again.

The English garden with scattered designer cottages made us feel like we were in a foreign country. The interior was well-equipped with a kitchen and tableware, and the spacious bathroom allowed for relaxation. Meals were served buffet-style, but the venue was spacious with ample distance between seats, allowing for a calm dining experience. The Kofu wine beef shabu-shabu was particularly delicious, and the side buffet featured many carefully prepared dishes that were overall excellent. Additionally, the local sake was delightful. The staff were all friendly and provided sufficient service during our stay, such as escorting us to our cottage after check-in. We also used the Shuttle Service both ways; the driving was careful, making it a comfortable ride. Overall, we were satisfied; however, it would have been nice to have Bluetooth speakers in the Room. Also, as we had high expectations for unlimited wine in Yamanashi Prefecture, this aspect fell slightly short of expectations. Lastly, filling up water in the bathtub took some time.
