    This is an older Hotel.

    The Hotel is old, but it was nice to have a dog run and a dog pool. As for the service, we had to do things ourselves, like laying out the futons. There were also too few power outlets, and there was no lighting in the Western-style Room. The Room was small, and since we were with our dog, we stayed together both upstairs and downstairs. It would have been better if there had been an entryway space with something like paw wipes or towels for cleaning feet. The bath was neither particularly good nor bad. We upgraded the meal plan by one level, and the food was delicious.

    Although the building is old, it was well cleaned. The dogs were able to relax as well. I think it would have been better if slippers for the in-room toilet had been provided from the start. The bath area had limited space for washing, but that can’t be helped. The meals were delicious.

    Alcoholic beverages!!

    1. The Room is small. 2. Alcoholic drinks are expensive. 3. There are no egg dishes or sausages with the meals, and the coffee cups are small. 4. Both breakfast and dinner feel too geared toward elderly guests. 5. The alternative menu options are too expensive.

    The Room was very old.

    We chose this place because we had an event in Toba and were traveling with our dog, and the access was very convenient. I was surprised by how old the Facility felt, but everything else was good. The Room was extremely dark, there were very few outlets, and the furniture in the Room was worn out. One chair even had its inner frame exposed. At night it felt like a haunted house level of atmosphere. We stayed for 4 nights. Dinner was a Japanese course every night, and the menu changed up to the third night. On the fourth night it was the same as the first day, but it was tasty so it wasn’t an issue at all. However, the restaurant felt like a family restaurant; since people around us were enjoying drinks, there was loud talking and laughter—at times it felt like being in an izakaya. The restaurant ventilation was also poor, and after eating our whole bodies smelled strongly of food odors. We also ordered meals for our dogs for all 4 days, and they ate everything. My husband and I ate quickly and went back to our Room. The rooftop dog run is quite new, but there were lots of bird droppings on the ground. Our dogs still enjoyed running around. The large public bath is quite small; during busy seasons it must be packed with people shoulder to shoulder. In terms of service, the front desk staff were very kind and polite. We could also see the sunrise, which was nice. On our way home we finally visited Toba Aquarium as we had hoped to do—we got to see our favorite sea otters. When returning to Tokyo we also took a ferry. I would like you to renovate; unless renovations are done, I don’t think we will stay again. Thank you very much for your help during our stay."""

    The urine smell was unbearable. I will never go again. The worst.

    I’ve stayed at pet-friendly Hotels and Accommodations more than 10 times, but I’ve never experienced an Accommodation with such a strong urine smell. It was a Japanese-Western style Room with tatami mats and carpet, but the urine odor was overwhelming from the Room entrance—so bad it gave me a headache. When I told the front desk, they said they could run an ozone treatment and ventilate the Room, so I asked them to do so. About 30 minutes later I returned, but it smelled like chemicals. After a while, the urine smell came back again—it was awful. There were two windows and a balcony door, so ventilation was possible, but there were no screens, so we couldn’t leave them open. Also, the layout itself is not pet-friendly. There’s no intermediate door or anything similar, and there’s a gap under the Room entrance door, so noise from the hallway and other Rooms comes in. Even though the condition of the Room was terrible, it seems there is an additional dog fee. If they are going to charge extra money, they should clean properly first. The day before as well, there were urine stains at the entrance in the evening that remained until the next morning. I think owners who don’t even rinse it off are most at fault, but it seemed like Hotel staff didn’t notice either. The automatic entrance doors were loud and made an eerie noise. The elevator was slow and took far too long. The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly either. Even at check-in their explanation dragged on and took quite a while. This was my first time staying at Wanwan Paradise (Bowwow Paradise), but I never want to go again. It was terrible.

    A Hotel Where Dogs Can Stay Comfortably

    A dog-friendly first-class accommodation with stunning views. However, during our stay, we encountered some issues. When we arrived at the designated dinner time of 5:30 PM, we were informed due to a front desk error that there was no room available and were asked to reschedule for 8:00 PM. Since this was significantly later than planned, we considered canceling dinner altogether but eventually received service after 6:30 PM. The staff worked hard, but overall there seemed to be insufficient communication among them. After ordering beer, we were told it would be complimentary as an apology for the inconvenience; however, prior explanation might have left a better impression. Additionally, during checkout, no apology regarding the beer charge was made until we brought it up ourselves. This inconsistency in handling situations raised concerns and gave the impression of being treated with a similar approach as general complaints. Mistakes can happen; however, the subsequent response felt vague in terms of accountability. Accommodations should provide guests with comfortable experiences. As dog-friendly accommodations are rare and valuable, I hope for improvements moving forward.

    A memorable visit to Ise Shrine and quality time with your beloved dog

    The sound of the ocean waves is very soothing at this Hotel. The sea-facing Room offers an amazing view. There are four dog runs—indoor, rooftop, pool area, and next to the parking lot—allowing small dogs to play together a lot, which was very satisfying. The dinner kaiseki cuisine was incredibly delicious. Enjoying drinks and relaxing while our beloved dogs had their meals made for a truly happy time. This is definitely a place we would like to visit again. Thank you!

    I had a wonderful time.

    As expected of Wanwan Hotel. Dog sheets were placed in various areas, and there was no dog smell even inside the facility! Other guests also followed the rules, making it a comfortable stay. The food was very delicious as well. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    It was my first time using it.

    The location by the sea offered great views, but I felt the Room rate was high for what it offered. Even though we upgraded the meals, they were not satisfying. However, I believe it was comfortable for our dog.

    I will visit again.

    Our dog enjoyed interacting with other dogs and seemed very happy. The meals were also very satisfying. We loved being able to dine together with our dog. The staff were incredibly kind, and it was heartwarming to see how much they love animals.

    Regarding Changes to Arrival Time

    Wanpara is a great place to visit with dogs, and I use it every time I travel. The dog amenities are well-equipped, making the stay very convenient. This time, unfortunately, my arrival was delayed by 2.5 hours, which resulted in having dinner and breakfast at later times than expected. Dinner had a good variety of dishes; the sashimi and kamameshi were delicious. However, some other dishes lacked flavor and felt a bit underwhelming. One point I'd like Wanpara to improve is the communication system for late arrivals or other inquiries. It’s inconvenient that you cannot directly call the Hotel but have to go through a customer service navigation dial instead. Moreover, it often doesn’t connect easily; after three attempts, the call gets automatically disconnected, which can be quite frustrating when you're in a hurry. In Toba's case specifically, when leaving my dog at the front desk during meals or baths, there was no room number confirmation or lock on the cage provided for safekeeping. This made me feel uneasy about safety measures for pets. I hope more attention can be given to this aspect. Other than these points, my stay was very comfortable overall! I will continue using Wanpara in the future!

    A hotel with stunning views where you can relax with your pet.

    The facility itself shows signs of aging in some areas, but the dog run and dog pool, along with other facilities for playing with pets, are well-equipped and made for an enjoyable stay. The view from the room was fantastic, the meals were delicious, and the hotel staff provided excellent service, making for a pleasant experience.

    Dog-Friendly Trip

    This was my first time staying here. I was able to stay at a very reasonable price on limited dates. The meals were luxurious, with dishes like Ise lobster sashimi and especially the sakura shrimp and sea lettuce rice cooked in a pot, which were truly delicious. Although the bath was not an Onsen, I could still enjoy a relaxing soak. The room was a Japanese-Western style, perfect for my mother who has difficulty walking, and the ocean view was fantastic. However, it was slightly disappointing that the toilet step was a bit high. This is such a pet-friendly Hotel that I would love to stay again! Thank you very much!

    Flying with your pet is the best!

    We traveled by car from Sendai to visit Ise Shrine with our pets. Although our car is relatively large, we couldn't stretch out and sleep, so we were relieved upon arriving at the Hotel. Above all, seeing our bulldog and French bulldog sons happily running around the Room brought us immense joy. It made us realize how wonderful it is to stay with pets. We also appreciated the thoughtful care of the staff during meals. The commemorative photo of our pets became a cherished memory as well. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you very much!

    Your Dog's Birthday

    This was our first time staying at this accommodation. It was also the first time for our family to stay with our beloved dog, and as soon as we arrived at the hotel, our dog got so excited and ran around the room, which was quite a challenge. To make matters worse, they even jumped on the bed and had an accident. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. The room was thoughtfully designed with non-slip flooring for dogs, and items like food bowls and pet sheets were provided, which was incredibly helpful. The meals were especially wonderful, and we ate until we were full. We will definitely come back again as a family! Thank you very much!

    The correspondence of words is slightly lacking.

    I was upgraded, but at night I was bothered by the loud barking of a large dog and the sound of a small child running around from the next Room, so I contacted the front desk. They changed my Room back to the original 8th floor, but it was directly below that Room, and the sound of running around was still intense. When I said, "You can come and see for yourself," they said, "We will directly warn the people upstairs." I endured, thinking the child would go to sleep and it would become quiet by 9 o'clock. The noise didn't stop until after 10 o'clock. At checkout, there wasn't a single word, and my mother said she never wants to come again. We won't stay at a Hotel with many dogs anymore. The food was overall dark in color and disappointing.

    The shower curtain in the guest room bath is covered in mold.

    The guest room and the shower curtain in the unit bath were slimy and had black mold, which was unpleasant. I will never use it again.

    We enjoyed the delicious kaiseki cuisine.

    The local cuisine unique to Toba, such as spiny lobster sashimi and abalone steak, was delicious. The view from the Room was also wonderful. Unfortunately, due to the age of the Facility and the thin walls, the sound of dogs barking late into the night was loud and I couldn't sleep. It was a trip where I felt the growth of my beloved dog, who was able to endure the barking.

    Thank you for allowing us to stay with our dog and have a great time. There was a gap in the Room door, and we were a bit troubled as our dog barked at the sound of other dogs barking. The bath water was very nice, but there were only two hairdryers, and it was a bit cramped. However, the food was very delicious.

    The staff are all kind and provide pleasant service. The food was also very delicious. It is difficult to find satisfactory accommodations when traveling with a beloved dog, but this hotel was friendly to both dogs and their owners. I would like to use it again.
