We stayed here for a...
We stayed here for a family trip during summer vacation. We used a Room with a private bath, but it was simply filthy. It didn’t feel clean at all, and the floors were sticky, so we couldn’t relax. The same was true throughout the building—it smelled unpleasant everywhere and felt dirty overall. Most of the staff were from overseas; communication was possible, but we did not feel any hospitality, and everything was handled mechanically. Only the restaurant had Japanese staff, but they seemed irritated due to how busy they were with the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink service, and I don’t think it’s acceptable to take that out on guests. Overall, this was not something I would call a Ryokan—more like an extension of a love hotel—and although it cost an appropriate amount, our whole family ended up disappointed with the trip.

We had a relaxing stay.
We stayed for two nights in a Room with an open-air bath, so we were able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. It was also nice that there is a private bath. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, always serving us with smiles. However, the meals were disappointing. They weren’t bad, but there wasn’t anything that stood out as truly delicious. Also, aside from the main dish, the rest is buffet-style, so it was disappointing that the selection was the same on both days. The “Sake of the Day” was also the same brand as the previous day. Thank you very much.

An Accommodation where thoughtful touches and warm hospitality shine
This was my first stay at this Accommodation. The building and Facilities may not feel like a brand-new luxury Ryokan, but instead, I could sense the staff’s creativity and heartfelt hospitality throughout. What impressed me most was how many thoughtful touches were in place to help guests enjoy themselves, even with a limited team. From the Reservation process for the private open-air bath to the “sleep-in” system, making your own parfait, and grilling dango and rice crackers yourself, I found myself thinking “That’s clever” again and again. None of it felt like simple streamlining—it all added to guests’ freedom and enjoyment, and it was clear how carefully everything had been planned. There were many international staff members as well, but the attentive care and warm service you’d expect from a Japanese Ryokan were clearly carried on, which made my stay very comfortable. I was also genuinely surprised by the flower-petal effect at the entrance (sorry if this is a spoiler). The playful touch tied to the name of the Accommodation was wonderful too. Rather than impressing with extravagance, this is an Accommodation that delights through ingenuity and human warmth. Thank you for such an enjoyable time.

I had a comfortable stay.
All the staff were extremely courteous, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were delicious, and the private open-air bath was especially relaxing and wonderful. The complimentary services were also excellent, so we enjoyed our time in the property as well. They kindly recommended places to visit for our planned Kanazawa sightseeing the next day, which made it even more enjoyable.

A pleasant stay experience
The room was very spacious, and even included a meeting-room-like space with a long table and a TV. There was also a private bath in the room. The Ryokan facilities were excellent: in addition to the welcome drink at check-in, there were four types of sake available for free. You could grill dango and rice crackers yourself, which should be especially fun for children. Breakfast and dinner were semi-buffet style, with a limited selection. After dinner, there was a self-serve ice cream area with several toppings to choose from. There was also an arcade game area and private reservable baths, which you can choose in advance at check-in. Overall, it was a very good stay experience.

A Ryokan you can truly enjoy
From the moment you arrive, you can start enjoying your stay. You are welcomed by a beautiful cherry blossom display, and right in front of you you’ll see guests relaxing with matcha tea preparation, coffee service, and a sake tasting service, as well as people happily grilling dango. I was able to relax and enjoy it thoroughly too! For dinner tempura, I was hoping for seasonal bamboo shoots, so I was a little disappointed they weren’t included. I felt that if one English-speaking staff member were stationed near the open-air bath Reservation board for about 30 minutes from 3:00 PM, international guests might not feel confused. Other than that, it was such a fun Onsen Ryokan that I would definitely want to return! The staff were cheerful, friendly, and welcoming with warm smiles. Thank you very much.

Your First Trip to Ishikawa
This was my first trip to Ishikawa, and I stayed here for the first time. As soon as I passed through the exciting double entrance doors, I was surprised by the petal-falling presentation. The private open-air bath service, welcome drink, and welcome sweets—these hands-on hospitality experiences kept a smile on my face. The Onsen, meals, and staff service were all truly heartwarming. However, there are two points I would like to mention. First, stains on the guest room floor futon mattress. It looked like it has been used for many years, but since it is something guests see directly, I would have appreciated a clean one. Second, the lockers in the public bath. Even when trying to lock them, they wouldn’t close easily. I suspect they may not be installed properly. About five lockers were unusable at a glance, so please check them again. The renovation work was noticeable, and there were a few other things that caught my attention as well. I felt that with improvements, this would undoubtedly become an even more wonderful space. Thank you very much for taking care of me during my 1-night/2-day stay. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

The three of us stay...
The three of us stayed this time, and all of us were extremely satisfied. In addition to the meals and baths, there were plenty of in-house services such as matcha tea, dango, and a rice cracker corner, plus sake tasting and welcome beer—so many thoughtful touches that we never got bored during our stay. The half-buffet dining style was also great—you can go back for more of what you like. Since the Accommodation we stayed at the next day was quite disappointing, we were all even more impressed by Hanami Kyubei’s hospitality. It became a truly memorable trip, and we would like to express our gratitude once again.

The room was full of cobwebs.
I stayed with my mother. When we arrived at the Ryokan at night, not only was there no heating in the Room, but even the lights were off. It might have been for energy saving purposes, but since it was a cold day, it didn’t feel very welcoming. Additionally, the corners of the Room were full of cobwebs, which honestly shocked me. As for the private open-air bath, it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests used it—children’s chairs and washbasins were left as they were. It might be better to allow more time between guests and tidy up a bit before use. The Fubuki bath was also too dark at night, making me feel uneasy about my footing. On a positive note, the staff provided detailed explanations and responded promptly to our requests, which I greatly appreciated. They also informed us in advance about stink bugs appearing in certain areas; this helped me avoid being startled when I encountered one in the bathroom.

Disappointing
I reserved a Room with an Onsen. At first glance, the Room seemed spacious, but upon closer inspection, there were several issues. The most concerning were the dust (mold) on the air conditioner and ventilation fan, dust on the shoji screens, and debris or dead insects in the window screen tracks. While I understand that insects are inevitable in nature, mold on the air conditioner and indoor bath is unacceptable. As others have mentioned, most of the staff were foreign nationals. While their hard work was commendable and left a good impression, their responses to questions over the phone often missed the mark and felt limited to pre-determined answers, which was somewhat frustrating. The dinner (sukiyaki) was not tasty, and breakfast was below a comment-worthy level. I had previously thought that Reservations through IKYU.com rarely disappointed me; however, I may need to reconsider this moving forward.

Overhyped and full of disappointment.
We stayed as a group of five to celebrate my mother's 77th birthday. The open-air bath in the room, with its glass walls creating a sense of unity with the room, looked stunning in the photos, which made me decide to make the Reservation here. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that the actual open-air bath was completely separate from the room and felt like an ordinary bathroom rather than an open-air experience. Since there were several Room types under the same Plan but no option to choose one specifically, it felt like we ended up with an unfortunate choice. Additionally, only one private open-air bath could be Reserved per Room. For families who need separate times for men and women, this meant rushing through 20 minutes each—another disappointing aspect. To fully enjoy such facilities as a family unit, there should be options for using two baths depending on family composition. While some parts of the property showed signs of age, we were satisfied with their excellent service and hospitality overall.

The staff were very kind and attentive. The room and meals were delicious, and I am very satisfied. There are many enjoyable services within the Ryokan, such as experience corners and private Onsen. I would definitely like to come again! Thank you very much.

The greeting was pleasant.
The cheerful and pleasant greetings from the accommodation staff made me feel refreshed. The staff's flexible responses were greatly appreciated, allowing us to enjoy our first trip with friends comfortably. It felt nice to spend a relaxed and free time without formality. If possible, please consider creating an open-air bath that anyone can use anytime, not just reserved ones! Thank you for your hospitality.

Too disappointing...
We used a Room with an open-air bath this time. We chose the highest-ranked Room and the most expensive Plan for the meals, but it was terrible. First, the Room smelled musty, the TV was old and small, and the drainage in the washroom was poor, which was very unpleasant. As for the meals, having a buffet besides the selected options at this price is unacceptable. I was surprised by the limited number of items in the buffet. The miso soup ingredients for both dinner and breakfast were the same, the rice was not tasty, and it was the worst. Everything was self-service, possibly due to a lack of staff. Even at half the price we paid, it would still be expensive, and everything was disappointing and very regrettable.

Elderly and Cost Performance
The Facility and Room were clean, and the service was kind and courteous. The Room we used this time had four large beds relative to the room size, and the beds occupied too much space, resulting in a narrow relaxing area. Additionally, the beds were raised with bed mats, and there was a gap as the mats did not reach the edges. When elderly guests went to the bathroom at night, the complex steps and poor footing posed a risk of falling. I thought there was a safety risk. The meal was equivalent to the 15,000 yen class in Yamashiro, and it was disappointing that there was no nigiri sushi, so I did not feel the value matched the price difference.
