The Room was spacious and comfortable.
I was looking forward to the meals, but the buffet had a lot of fried items. On the pool side, there was a live katsuo tataki demonstration and a steak station; the steak was tender and delicious. However, I didn’t notice where it was and only had it quite late into the meal. I wish they had explained the exact location at check-in. Even though there were many staff members, they seemed to be standing together in groups, so I gave up on trying to ask for help. Breakfast was an ordinary buffet. Because my expectations were high, it was disappointing.

The Hotel served delicious dinner and breakfast.
The meals, including the seared bonito at dinner and the whitebait served with the Japanese-style breakfast, let us fully enjoy Kochi’s seafood. The view from the Room was also wonderful, with the Pacific Ocean right in front of us and a great sense of openness. However, perhaps because the building is old, there was a musty smell in the Room, and the bath was small and disappointing.

Probably not a place I’d stay at again.
We stayed as a group of five: grandparents and children. The building and Facility felt old. We had quite a lot of luggage, but they would not carry it to the Room. (I carried it myself in two trips.) I saw several people with tattoos in the bath area (maybe because of the local culture?), even though it says guests with tattoos should refrain from using it. (It wasn’t pleasant to see.) Even when items ran out at the buffet, they were not replenished. Overall, it felt disappointing.

Delighted!
We stayed in late March. There were four adults and two elementary school children. The Room was a maisonette type, with beds on the first floor and a Japanese-style room on the second floor. It was spacious and comfortable, and the children were thrilled. They enjoyed the large public bath and the pool throughout our stay, and the adults were able to relax comfortably as well.

I wish I could have eaten more seared bonito.
Because the description said we could fully enjoy seared bonito, we chose this course… But—only two slices? Far from “fully enjoying” it, we couldn’t even properly savor the taste. We were extremely disappointed, especially since we had been looking forward to it… The open-air corridor was so cold that we were shivering. The Room was clean and spacious, but something felt mismatched—was it originally an apartment building? We won’t be returning.

The facility is old.
Checked in after sunset, but the room number on the door was barely readable. Although it was described as a new building, it seemed quite challenging for my 80-year-old mother to go up and down to the third floor without an elevator. Since we were traveling with a pet, our options were limited, so we chose this accommodation. However, I didn’t expect it to be on the third floor (with additional steps beyond that) and without an elevator. It felt more like a facility designed for student group stays. The meals were plentiful and delicious; however, when my family ordered a famous shochu, it tasted only like soda water. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a wide variety of delicious options.

Family Trip
The building is old, but there is an indoor pool. Dinner was good. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. The Room is well-maintained despite being old, but the noise echoes a lot. However, it was quiet after 11 PM, so I managed to sleep. The staff were kind and friendly, especially the male receptionist. When I had trouble opening the Room key, I asked a cleaning staff member for help, but they said they didn’t know because they were part-time—understandable since they were young. I think good customer service can make up for the age of the facility; keep up the effort! Recently, touch keys have become more common. It was nice to play table tennis as well. Definitely not luxurious—more of a budget-friendly option!

It was excellent.
We had not ordered a meal for our child in advance, but when we requested it at the dinner venue, they promptly prepared a kids' meal for us. It included chicken rice and two pieces of fried shrimp. Thank you so much! The adult meals were also very delicious.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel, recommended by my daughter-in-law. When I informed the staff about our significantly delayed check-in, they responded kindly and professionally. The Room was clean and spacious, with an amazing view from the balcony. My husband and I are already discussing coming back next time with our son, his wife, and our grandchild.

It was great.
The plan included two meals, and I was able to use it at a very affordable price. I relaxed in a spacious Room with a view of the ocean. The TV was small and hard to see, though. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were varied and delicious, leaving me satisfied. However, during dinner, despite many open seats, I didn't like being seated right next to another table. The staff who served us were foreign, and it was difficult to understand their explanation of the dishes.

"Resort Hotel in the Tropics"
This summer vacation, we exited the highway at Nangoku Interchange after passing through a long tunnel and met our daughter, who flew in from Fukuoka, at Kochi Ryoma Airport. After enjoying a delicious hamburger lunch at Nishijima Floriculture Center, adorned with bougainvillea and hibiscus, we checked in early. As always, we enjoyed the refreshing welcome drink of chilled Konatsu juice before heading to the indoor pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor pool. The daughters especially seemed to enjoy the sense of freedom in the outdoor pool for quite a long time. The buffet-style dinner we requested early was, as always, highly satisfying. In addition to the usual delights like seared bonito and salt-grilled sweetfish, we also enjoyed beef steak and braised pork belly. This year, there was also a lively brass band performance of Southern All Stars' "Katte ni Sindbad." The breakfast buffet was equally delightful, with my favorite simmered bonito served with morning porridge. The daughters enjoyed the pool again before we checked out just before noon, which felt very fitting for a Resort Hotel. Afterward, we visited "Koto-ga-hama," a location featured in the filming of "Anpan," before heading home. By the way, thank you for arranging one of our two rooms as a corner room on the 3rd floor with a great view, just as we requested. The title "Nangoku" Resort Hotel reflects both our access via Nangoku Interchange and the hotel's atmosphere, which reminds me of my beloved tropical Hawaii. If we have the chance, we would love to visit again next year.

The meals are exceptional.
Stayed during the Obon period for one night and two days with dinner and breakfast included, as a family of four including elementary and middle school children. The Facility is old, but the kids were thrilled with the pool. The buffet-style dinner and breakfast were truly delicious and very satisfying. The all-you-can-drink Konatsu juice was excellent. The Room's refrigerator worked well for freezing, which was helpful for keeping ice packs usable the next day. Thank you for the hospitality.

We stayed here as a three-generation family on the last day of Golden Week. The grandchildren were thrilled to enjoy the pool. The adults were very satisfied with the delicious food from Kochi, especially the thickly sliced bonito served with salt, which was absolutely delightful. We would love to visit again!

Great value for money.
The view from the Room was amazing, and we had a very pleasant stay. Dinner was delicious, and I couldn't believe how luxurious it was for such a reasonable price. The seared bonito, in particular, was incredibly tasty. We were lucky to have the heated pool all to ourselves and enjoyed it thoroughly. Having both a sauna and a cold bath by the pool was fantastic. The kids loved the drawing corner at the entrance. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. When we got home, we tried "Hito no Yoroshisa" that we bought at the Hotel's shop—it was so delicious that I wish we'd bought more! We would love to stay here again when visiting Kochi.

We visited with our family.
The Hotel felt old, but the food was absolutely amazing! The thick slices of seared bonito were perfect, and the steak, sashimi, and other dishes were also excellent. In the morning, instead of packaged bonito flakes, freshly shaved bonito was provided, which was very satisfying. The Hotel staff were also kind. However, the bath was small, and the smell in the Room was concerning. It would be great if the smell in the Room could be improved. Nevertheless, the food made up for everything, and it was a Hotel I would like to revisit.

The Best Orchard
Iegame-san (and his wife) ventured into Shikoku during Silver Week, transferring from the express train Nampu, which runs vigorously with a pendulum diesel car, to a local line to reach the station nearest to the hotel. A shuttle car, arranged in advance, was there to pick them up and take them to the hotel. In just a few minutes, they approached the coastal highland where the hotel is located. Suddenly, a ruinous hotel? appeared before their eyes, giving them a fright, but of course, that was not their destination; their hotel for the night was further ahead. They checked in at the stylish Spanish colonial-style lobby. The assigned room on the third floor has an outdoor corridor structure, so caution is needed in bad weather. They unlocked the entrance door with an old-fashioned room key and entered. The spacious room, seemingly about 40 square meters, is colonial-style and relaxing. The flooring is wooden, and the furnishings are rattan, hitting the right points in interior design. Although the bathroom is a unit bath, it is well-maintained and clean. The outdoor pool visible below the grand view of the Pacific Ocean from the window is reminiscent of the good old days, and their excitement skyrockets. While they took their eyes off for a moment, his wife had sneakily changed into a swimsuit (lol), and together they immediately plunged in. Despite being outdoors, the pool is sufficiently heated and comfortable, and the two of them swim energetically. After enjoying the indoor pool as well, they return to their room. After a short rest, it's finally time for the buffet dinner, the highlight for his wife, a wild buffet master. The famous seared bonito is so thick it could be mistaken for a stack of bills, with outstanding flavor and texture. The fresh sashimi, chilled chawanmushi, and Tosa-style paella were particularly delicious. With bellies comically swollen, they return to their room fully satisfied. The next morning, it's another buffet breakfast. His wife, in a state of excitement, arrives at the breakfast venue again. Here too, dishes with a twist, such as fried burdock, roasted pork with daikon, and myoga-dressed shirasu, catch the eye. They eat to their heart's content, with his wife choking with joy, and leave the venue in a "stuffed" state. It was an intriguing place where the location on the coastal highland and a moderate Showa retro style were fused, and they checked out with unexpectedly great satisfaction. With such potential for hospitality, it might be good to consider the currently popular all-inclusive style.
