    If you’re looking for an affordable trip

    The location, service, open-air bath, and Facility were good. However, the dinner buffet was nowhere near the “luxurious” one advertised on the website, and as someone who made a Reservation based on the photos, I couldn’t help feeling misled. The quality and seasoning were like a pseudo-Japanese restaurant run by overseas Asian owners; I don’t feel any need to try it again. There was also little variety. There were many international tourists, and the meals felt geared more toward Asian family travelers than Japanese guests. The Room was clean, but there was no temperature control for the air conditioning, so it was far too cold. It was a tatami Room with futons, but the mattress was so hard it felt like sleeping on the floor, and I couldn’t sleep well.

    The Onsen and the meals were both excellent!

    I stayed at Yufuin Sansuikan, and everything—from the Onsen and meals to the all-inclusive service—was absolutely satisfying! The Onsen water was silky and gentle, kind to the skin, and incredibly relaxing. Dinner was buffet-style, so our international guests could freely choose whatever they liked and enjoy it. Every dish was delicious, with so many tempting options that I ended up eating too much. The Oita Wagyu steak in particular was outstanding. Another highlight was the all-inclusive service, which allowed us to enjoy complimentary drinks—including alcohol—from check-in through dinner. Above all, thanks to the warm hospitality of the president and the proprietress, we were able to spend a truly enjoyable and memorable time. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would love to visit again.

    The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the convenience of having access to the buffet and drinks whenever we liked, making our stay very comfortable.

    All-Inclusive Ryokan

    The female staff at the reception provided excellent service, making the check-in process upon arrival very pleasant. Her hospitality and attentiveness were of a level that would be fitting for any first-class Hotel. As it was all-inclusive, everything from the welcome drink to alcoholic beverages during dinner was included, allowing us to enjoy our stay without any worries—very satisfying. The pudding was absolutely delicious!

    Eat to your heart's content!

    The building had an old-fashioned feel as it is a long-established Ryokan, but the services and the variety of free drinks were more abundant than any other Hotel or Ryokan I have stayed at before, which was surprising. I only tried the breakfast buffet, but it had a wide selection and was delicious. The quality of local ingredients stood out. Guests could grill their own fish, which was thick, fluffy, and incredibly tasty—a truly luxurious breakfast experience. The sake-marinated red fish was especially delightful. Additionally, the dessert featuring a frozen strawberry filled with vanilla ice cream was sweet and tangy—it tasted so good that I wanted to eat several of them! The Onsen water temperature was slightly hot to my liking and very relaxing. Thank you very much!

    I will come again.

    It was our first family visit, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. The service was great, and we truly enjoyed a relaxing and pleasant time. The buffet was delicious both in the morning and evening.

    The buffet was high-level and wonderful for every dish. The Onsen was also good. However, when I returned home, I developed the flu and had a terrible experience, so it might be better to consider the timing of your visit.

    Anyway, this is the perfect Stays for those who love alcohol. All types of alcohol are available and unlimited during meals. You can also drink during breakfast. You can enjoy homemade craft beer on tap. The buffet dishes are also delicious. Except for the Hot Spring Tax, it was truly all-inclusive.

    The Onsen was pleasant, and the powder room was spacious and easy to use. The buffet was delicious, and the staff's service was courteous. The landlady was very charming.

    It was a memorable trip.

    I had always wanted to visit the town of Yufuin. I decided to stay at Yufuin Sansuikan because of the good reviews and the reasonable pricing for a Yufuin property. My impression of the stay was extremely satisfying! [Onsen] There are two onsens, and they alternate between men and women daily. On the first day, I entered the "Asagiri no Yu" on the second floor, and as expected, the open-air bath was very pleasant. Since it was before dinner and there were few people, I enjoyed it almost privately. The three ceramic baths have lukewarm and normal temperature settings, and the large bath is set at a higher temperature. The next morning, I went to "Yufu no Yu" on the first floor. The open-air bath here also has a great view, and the rain-covered Mount Yufu had a unique charm, looking like a beautiful ink painting. The gentle stimulation of the jet bath relieved the fatigue of the trip, and the other indoor baths also had good water. Both days, my skin was smooth after bathing! After the bath, I spent a blissful time in the massage chair in the lounge, truly heavenly! [Meals] Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and every dish was extremely delicious, with so many varieties that I couldn't try them all. I specified a 7 PM start for dinner, and I was pleased that they replenished the desserts even as the end time approached. Personally, the highlights of dinner were the loin steak, roast beef, seared bonito, and dobin mushi, and for dessert, I loved the cassata and kabosu sorbet. Alcohol was all-you-can-drink, including beer, wine, spirits, sake, and shochu, so those who enjoy drinking will have a great time. I don't drink much, but the local beer was very tasty. Breakfast was also delicious, with grilled dried fish at the table and the famous dango soup. Most of the menu items did not overlap with dinner (except for toriten, curry, and salad, which were available for both). [Service & Facility] Many of the staff were from abroad, but everyone was fluent in Japanese, and there were no issues; they were all very pleasant. The facility, though a bit old, was well-maintained and clean, and the room was very spacious, allowing for a relaxing time while gazing at Mount Yufu. Perhaps because it was a weekday stay, I was allowed to check in early, which was helpful. If you visit by car, it's convenient because you can park and go sightseeing even if you arrive early. If I have another chance to visit Yufuin, I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you for taking care of us during this stay.

    Completely satisfied

    I stayed here about 10 years ago because they had homemade craft beer. It was a good experience, so I decided to stay again. This time, drinks were all-inclusive, even including canned beverages. As before, the food was delicious, and the spacious interior allowed for relaxation. The difference from before was that meals were no longer served in private rooms but were all buffet-style. Although there is the effort of going to get the food, I found it enjoyable. What I noticed most compared to last time was the presence of many foreign staff members, and their excellent service. They had a demeanor that made me think they were Japanese. I was surprised. I had some reservations about foreign staff at other facilities, but this place was different. It's far away, so I can't visit often, but it will be my first choice when I do.
