    I was satisfied.

It was better than expected. It would have been even better if the Onsen had been a bit larger.

It’s a shame we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji.

Before the end of the rainy season, it rained and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji during our stay. The location was excellent, and both the dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious—we ate lots of great food, and beer was all-you-can-drink. The Onsen felt a bit lukewarm, and there was only an indoor bath with no open-air bath, but overall we were satisfied. In the Japanese-style Room, it was cold with the air conditioner and summer bedding, so we used a blanket from the closet. The pillows were low. The air conditioner was positioned out of sight, and the Room became quite dry while sleeping, so next time we turned on the humidifier in the corner of the Room. Being confused in the middle of the night was a small downside. There were water and coffee services at reception, an extension cord for charging in the Room, and Japanese sweets provided as well—these thoughtful details were much appreciated.

An Accommodation where you can fully enjoy warm hospitality and nature, even if transportation access is not ideal.

With a cloudy sky and light snow in March, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji on the first day, but at night we were able to clearly see its silhouette against the sky, which felt a bit magical. The next day, we managed to catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji peeking above the clouds over Lake Tanuki (we couldn’t see it clearly all the way down to the base), so I was glad after having almost given up hope. Room 507 was in an excellent, nearly central location and was a wonderful Room. The staff kindly took photos for us to commemorate my birthday. They printed them out and gave them to us along with bath salts. After returning home, I enjoyed a bath with the bath salts and relived the memories. It became a great anniversary memory. The simmered blackthroat seaperch in the Suruga Kaiseki dinner was outstanding. The bonfire display outside by our window-side table was also lovely. At breakfast, we were told it was fine to take items from the buffet venue as well, so we could enjoy milk ramen and fruit too. Next time, I plan to come back in January or February and try again to see Mt. Fuji’s full view during the day. The only disappointment was that due to a mix-up at breakfast, bowls were set out before the rice had finished cooking, so I ended up with hot rice but cooled miso soup. Other than that, everything was very satisfying.

    The location is excellent.

I have visited Shizuoka several times hoping to see Mount Fuji, but I haven’t been able to get a clear view. This time, I stayed here attracted by the promise of an excellent location, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate and I couldn’t see it clearly again... Comparing with photos, I thought it would indeed be a perfect location if the mountain was visible and decided to try again in the future. I stayed in a lodge, but perhaps because I checked in late, the parking lot next to the lodge was very dark without any lights and hard to find. As for meals, they were very delicious with lots of creative touches—completely satisfying. The quiet atmosphere of Lake Tanuki nearby was also perfect for a morning walk and absolutely wonderful.

I would love to use it again.

During our stay, we could enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji reflected on Lake Tanuki from anywhere, making it a truly wonderful experience. Although we didn’t have high expectations for the meals due to the reasonable price, both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, each incredibly delicious, leaving our entire family very satisfied. The staff were consistently polite and kind from check-in to meal service. We also joined the morning walking program and enjoyed strolling around the campsite while listening to explanations from the staff. It was a memorable experience to feel Mount Fuji up close in the early morning, and we’re so glad we participated. We would definitely love to stay here again when visiting Fujinomiya!

    Excellent location

The location is simply amazing. You can see Mount Fuji and Lake Tanuki from the guest rooms, and if you step onto the terrace, you can enjoy the reflection of "Inverted Fuji" on Lake Tanuki. With some time before dinner, I took a walk around Lake Tanuki—it was quiet, cool, and truly refreshing. The guest rooms were clean and comfortable. Meals were served buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, offering a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes that made it hard to choose. While not an overly luxurious service experience, considering the price, this Hotel provides more than enough satisfaction.

    Dining Information

When escorted to the designated seat at the restaurant, it was difficult to understand the explanation provided. This seems to be due not to surrounding noise but because the staff explained while looking forward rather than addressing the accommodation guests directly.

    Recommended for Multiple Night Stay

The room, meals, and large public bath all offer views of Mount Fuji, and the walking course around Lake Tanuki in front of the accommodation takes about an hour—just the right length. The meals are delicious, and it is a very cost-effective and relaxing accommodation. I would definitely like to stay again next time for a multiple night stay.

    Mount Fuji

The service was very polite, and I was satisfied with the view of Mt. Fuji directly from the Room window. However, I thought there might be snow on the summit, but this year it was a warm winter, and it might have been too early in the season, as the autumn leaves had not yet appeared.

Spend a relaxing time with Mount Fuji.

Stayed at the property on a waiting list. It was worth the wait, and I was able to relax. The onsen had gentle water. Meals were buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. I was torn between kaiseki style, but there were sushi, roast beef, and local specialties like Shizuoka oden and Fujinomiya yakisoba, and the appetizers were particularly well-prepared and seasoned, making them very enjoyable. From the room, you can see Mt. Fuji and the lake right in front of you, which is also wonderful. At 6:30 in the morning, I participated in an early morning walk, and it turned out to be a nice walk with the rain from the previous day clearing up as if it were a lie.

The view of Mt. Fuji and the cuisine are excellent!

This was my first stay, and the view of Mt. Fuji was amazing. The time from before sunrise to sunrise was especially magical, and I was moved by the view from the room window! Both dinner and breakfast featured delicious local dishes. The milk from Asagiri Plateau, the trout from Fujinomiya, and the sakura shrimp from Suruga Bay were all excellent! I would love to stay again, thank you for your hospitality.

It's an inn that makes you want to come back.

I stayed for four days based on a recommendation from a friend. It is in a perfect location overlooking Mount Fuji by Lake Tanuki. I relaxed in the hot springs and enjoyed as much delicious local fresh seafood and mountain delicacies as I wanted while gazing at Mount Fuji. The Suruga rice bowl with whitebait and sakura shrimp, sushi, roast beef, oden, and Fujinomiya yakisoba were all exquisite. A variety of Shizuoka teas are available not only during meals but also in the lobby, where you can enjoy them while looking at Mount Fuji from the terrace.

    The view of Mount Fu...

The view of Mount Fuji and the walking trails were great. The dining hall and bath were a bit crowded, but I think it's acceptable for this price. The bidet wasn't working well. While using it, the water suddenly stopped.

The majestic view of Mount Fuji at sunrise

The bath is like a golf course bath, but it's lukewarm, and if the weather is clear, you can relax while gazing at Mount Fuji. The buffet had a variety of delicious options to enjoy. The soft serve ice cream, in particular, had a rich milk flavor and was very tasty. In the morning, I took a walk on the Fugaku Trace before sunrise, and the view of Mount Fuji from Lake Tanuki was magnificent.
