    Exceptional hospitality.

    I stayed here to visit the Senjojiki Cirque. All the staff were energetic and cheerful, and I had a very comfortable stay. Dinner, centered around hearth-cooked dishes, used plenty of local ingredients and was a delight. Since it’s not a sunken kotatsu, if sitting on the floor is difficult for you, they can lend you a floor chair. Because I was leaving early in the morning, they changed breakfast to an onigiri bento. Eating those onigiri while enjoying the views at Senjojiki was amazing. The Onsen water felt gentle, and the temperature was easy to soak in. I’d definitely like to stay here again when I visit Senjojiki!

    I gave this as a Mot...

    I gave this as a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift for my parents. They were very pleased, saying they were satisfied with everything—the meals, service, Onsen, and Room—and that it was a wonderful Accommodation. The bus stop to the ropeway for Senjojiki Cirque is right in front of the Accommodation, and on our way home they noticed my father had forgotten his phone charger and staff kindly returned it to him. Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. Thanks to you, my parents had a great trip, and I’m truly grateful.

    Thank you for your thoughtful attention to detail!

    We stayed during the cherry blossom season in full bloom. The view from the Room was absolutely stunning, and we were able to relax and enjoy a truly luxurious time. The food was also excellent—we thoroughly enjoyed the irori hearth-cooked cuisine and were impressed by how delicious the local ingredients were. The hospitality was wonderful as well, and we felt healed at this comfortable Accommodation. When we left something behind, we truly appreciated your thoughtful care. Thank you very much. We will definitely stay again!

    It was an Accommodation where the thoughtful hospitality truly touched my heart.

    Although we checked in late, thank you for handling everything so efficiently and for your thoughtful touches for our anniversary trip. It became a wonderful, unforgettable memory. The Room has an older charm but has been renovated and felt very clean, and I was moved by the picture-perfect view from the window when we woke up in the morning. The hot spring water was excellent, and since you can see the mountains through a large window even from the indoor bath, we were able to relax and soak at ease. The lounge where you can enjoy water or tea after bathing also had a lovely atmosphere with fresh flowers on display. We would definitely like to stay again.

    Room upgrade required

    The meals were delicious, and the service was good. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong Room type. The Room is compact, with a unit bath and a bed. The unit bath is small but typical for a Business Hotel; however, its placement is terrible. Because the toilet entrance faces the entryway, you have to step down into the entryway barefoot to open the door when using it, or step onto the in-house sandals to open it. Since I used it frequently for the toilet and washing my face, it was very inconvenient.

    Accommodation fee

    The meals did not feel luxurious for the price. However, the irori-style dining area had a nice atmosphere. The Onsen's water quality was excellent, leaving my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.

    By chance,

    In the middle of the night, possibly due to a car breakdown, there were key lock sounds and a loud "gagaga" noise on the road directly below the room I stayed in, lasting for over 30 minutes and waking me up. When I checked the time, it was 3:30 AM. Since it is along a busy road with heavy traffic, soundproofing measures would be greatly appreciated.

    Meals: Grilled sweetfish is exceptional.

    Meals include grilled sweetfish and premium teppanyaki, which are delicious. The Facility features the latest TOTO toilets, which are excellent. The cleaning is thorough, and everything is very clean. The bath is a bit small, and with eight men present this time, it was not possible to relax comfortably. Improvement is desired.

    Hayataro Onsen is the best!

    Your skin will feel smooth, soft, and silky. The flowers arranged by the hostess were beautiful, symbolizing the thoughtful care of the accommodation. It was a cozy and charming accommodation where you can enjoy delicious irori-style cuisine.

    This stay was truly ...

    This stay was truly wonderful, and I am extremely satisfied. The dinner was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The sweetfish, in particular, was so tender that it could be eaten whole, from head to tail, with its refined aroma and rich flavor leaving a lasting impression. Each dish reflected the quality of the ingredients and the dedication of the chef. Additionally, I deeply appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of the staff. The warm smile of the person who served our dinner was especially memorable, making our mealtime even more enjoyable and heartwarming. The only minor concern was that the elevator seemed a bit dated and took some time for its doors to close; however, this also added to the charm of this accommodation's history. The room was very clean, and at night I could rest comfortably wrapped in soft bedding for a good night's sleep. Overall, it was an incredibly comfortable and rejuvenating stay that left me completely satisfied. I would love to visit again in the future and confidently recommend this accommodation to my dear friends and family!

    It was great.

    The staff at the Ryokan were all kind and friendly, which was wonderful. The room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. If I may suggest, it would have been fantastic if both face towels and bath towels were provided. The Onsen was absolutely amazing. Thank you very much!

    Private irori for dinner and breakfast

    The meal we had in the private room with the irori was even more wonderful than it looked in the photos on the website. The staff and the people in the kitchen must have had a hard time preparing it. I heard that some people choose No Meals Included and don't have dinner, but I thought it was a waste. Also, the apples we bought at the store selling local apples, which were introduced to us by the front desk manager (?), were fresh and a great bargain. Many locals were buying them, and we were introduced to a very good store. Thank you very much. The End

    Very nice inn

    I made a reservation to explore Senjojiki Cirque. It's very convenient as the bus stop for the ropeway is right in front. Dinner was a charming meal around an irori, and breakfast was rice cooked in a kamado. It wasn't flashy, but everything was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. After dinner, I stepped outside the inn for a bit and saw a sky full of stars. I would love to visit again.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The thoughtfulness of the staff made our entire trip to Nagano truly wonderful. Both the room and the meals were excellent, but we were particularly moved by the staff's attentiveness, such as noticing our shoes soaked from the rain and reassuring us when we were looking up at the mountains shrouded in clouds at the bus stop. The accommodation offers excellent access to Senjojiki Cirque, and we thoroughly enjoyed the rice balls we received for our early morning departure while admiring the breathtaking view from the summit station. Next time, we aim to reach the summit of Mount Kisokomagatake. We definitely plan to stay here again for that trip.
