    Used by two families...

    Used by two families (8 people). We booked two 4-person Rooms; they were on the 4th floor at opposite ends, and the layouts seemed slightly different. The Room I stayed in had the main door with the original room number, plus another door that allowed access from the Japanese-style room side. The bathroom was a unit bath, so it would have been perfect if the toilet and bath had been separate. There was also a small kitchenette; it would have been even better if dish soap and a sponge were provided. Meals were buffet-style and delicious. The bath was also great. They sell a chili oil that is only available here. Last year it was fully booked so we stayed at another Hotel, but we have visited specifically to buy this chili oil before.

    It was my first time staying here.

    This was my first visit to Hakuba. The Reviews and the beautiful view of the Northern Alps from the Hotel convinced me to make a Reservation. Since it was during the rainy season, I came without high expectations. However, when I opened the window early the next morning, I could clearly see the Northern Alps and my husband and I cheered out loud with joy. I was also very happy to enjoy the magnificent view of the Northern Alps from the women’s bath. The meals were well balanced, not limited to Japanese cuisine alone. Although there were quite a few guests staying at the Hotel, it was still quiet and relaxing. This is a Hotel I would like to visit again.

    It was a wonderful trip.

    This was our second stay. All the staff provided very courteous service. The meals were delicious, and the Onsen and the entire property were impeccably clean. The views from the restaurant and the top-floor guest room were truly wonderful. There is also a day-use Onsen within easy walking distance, so we were able to enjoy a variety of experiences. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

    I visited during the autumn foliage season. The parking area was spacious, and I had a comfortable stay. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was enjoyable.

    There are no lockers with locks in the bathroom.

    This was my first stay in Hakuba. I arrived late for check-in, so I didn't notice at first, but the next morning, the entrance was adorned with blooming flowers, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, making my stay comfortable and worry-free. The buffet meals were not particularly extravagant but had a homely and comforting taste, which suited my family perfectly. One concern was the room towels. There was only one bath towel and one disposable hand towel, which made it inconvenient when using the sink. I ended up using my own handkerchief. Having an additional face towel or hand towel would enhance comfort. As mentioned in other reviews, there was only one room key, which caused some inconvenience when taking turns to use the bath. The outdoor bath, which I was looking forward to, had a strong smell of disinfectant, making it difficult to enjoy for a long time. Additionally, the clothes basket system without lockers felt insecure. Having experienced theft of a bath towel in a similar setup elsewhere, I felt uneasy about leaving the room key in the basket for security reasons. In the restaurant, guests were guided to specific tables by staff. However, during breakfast, some guests from a certain country chose their seats freely. This raised questions among other guests, including myself, as to why they were allowed to do so. If seat selection was allowed, I would have preferred a window-side table, which was available. The room was a Deluxe Twin, newly renovated in 2023, and it was clean and comfortable. However, the view was not on the mountain side. I believe that improvements in facilities and security would make this accommodation even more pleasant. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The staff provided excellent service. While the Facility shows some signs of age, it was overall well-maintained and clean. The meals were delicious, and I had a comfortable stay.

    Thank you for your hospitality. The Room was clean, and the meals were delicious. I wished there was sashimi, though... Unfortunately, it was rainy, so I couldn't visit Happo-one, but next time I'll check the weather and stay again!

    The Hotel with Beautiful Flowers at the Entrance

    Stay in a Japanese-Western style room for 5 people. The bedroom with beds and the tatami room are connected by a short hallway. At the far end of the Western-style bedroom, there is a toilet and unit bathtub. This room does not have a refrigerator. The tatami room has a small sink and a door leading to the hallway, but it does not have its own toilet or bath. The most inconvenient part is the toilet location—you need to pass through where people are sleeping in the Western-style bedroom to reach it at the far end of the room. Ideally, there should be a toilet located between the Western-style and tatami rooms for better convenience. This layout is very impractical and difficult to use. Meals are average—neither particularly bad nor outstandingly good, with no specific recommendations worth noting.

    I wanted meat such a...

    I wanted meat such as steak for dinner. The seasoning was light, which I liked. I would appreciate it if the number of hairdryers in the bathroom dressing room could be increased. Also, the hallway felt hot, so having air conditioning would be nice. Overall, the Room was clean and satisfactory.

    A Hotel with No Complaints

    This was our second stay, and we stayed for five nights during the Obon season. We hiked Happo Pond, Tsugaike Highland, and Ko-Omine Mountain. The hotel provided a free shuttle service to all the gondola stations, which was very convenient. Additionally, the station, supermarket (COOP), Snow Peak store, and The North Face store were within walking distance, making it ideal for us as we don’t drive. The room has a slightly unique layout (the bathroom and toilet are located at the back). However, it was spacious enough (though storage space is small) and having a mini kitchen was very helpful. On clear days, you can enjoy great views of Hakuba Sanzan or Mount Goryu from the room. Moreover, both the room and the entire hotel are kept impeccably clean. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner. While there wasn’t much variation in the menu day-to-day, there were plenty of options available with mild seasoning using quality ingredients that kept us satisfied throughout our five-night stay without getting bored. The public bath is reasonably sized with good-quality shampoo products provided; however, it can get quite crowded depending on the time (likely due to full occupancy). The staff members were all kind and pleasant to interact with. Additionally, the souvenir shop inside the hotel is surprisingly well-stocked. Guests receive a 5% discount on purchases there. While there may be more luxurious accommodations if you’re willing to spend more money elsewhere when considering its price point here—there’s absolutely nothing dissatisfactory about this accommodation in every aspect! We’ll definitely return again!

    The Facility is generally old, and there are many steps inside the Room, making it less suitable for those with mobility issues. The variety of dishes was also limited.

    This was my third stay.

    I always stay here when visiting Hakuba. The meals are very delicious, and I am satisfied every time. It is close to the station, and shopping is within walking distance. The accommodation cost is very reasonable, which is a great help. I will definitely stay here again next time!

    Hiking in Hakuba

    This was my first time staying for two nights for a hiking trip. Although the Hotel seems quite old, the Room and other areas were very clean and well-maintained. The dinner buffet had a wide variety of options, with good quality and delicious food. Most of the staff were from overseas, but their politeness and dedication to their work left a strong impression. It was slightly inconvenient that there were few washing stations in the bath area and only two hairdryers available. Overall, the warm hospitality of the staff made my stay very pleasant. Considering the price, this Hotel offers great value for money. Thank you!

    View of the Northern Alps

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days right after the May holidays. The buffet meals for breakfast and dinner had a different menu every day and were absolutely delicious. Additionally, we enjoyed welcome wine during dinner on both evenings. The view of the Northern Alps from the window in the morning was stunningly beautiful. We would love to visit Hakuba again!

    The view from the room was stunning, with snow-capped mountains during the day and a starry sky at night providing a soothing experience. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious. I would love to stay here again.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    I stayed during the ski season after seeing the photos on the site. I didn't have high expectations, but it was a better hotel than I anticipated. The front desk staff were kind, the lobby was spacious and clean, and the room was a Japanese-Western style room. The bedroom (bed) and the Japanese-style room + living room were separated, which was just right for two adults and one child. The only downside was that the corridor connecting them was a bit narrow. The bath was also available in the room, but the large public bath had an open-air bath, which was nice. The meals were buffet-style, and I enjoyed them. The Chinese dishes and ramen were particularly delicious. My 9-year-old son ate a lot both in the morning and evening. We stayed for three nights, and the meal content was slightly different each time, which was fun. The ski lockers and changing rooms were outside, but they were conveniently located next to the parking lot. Since there is also a rental shop, I think it is good for those who rent equipment.

    Beaten by the rain

    I stayed on October 3rd. Unfortunately, the weather turned rainy in the evening, so I couldn't take a walk around, which was disappointing. The entrance was pleasant with beautiful flowers in full bloom. The front desk and lobby also had fresh flowers displayed, which felt very nice. On the 4th, it rained again, so I couldn't go trekking, but I climbed the ski jump and was able to get a panoramic view of Hakuba Village. The meals were mainly vegetable-based, which might be good for health-conscious people, but I thought it would be nice to have a bit more meat dishes. The room was clean and had a cooking space, which I thought would be convenient for self-catering during a long stay. I would like to use this place again when I plan my next trekking trip.

    The place was filled with flowers, creating a warm atmosphere, and the buffet was super delicious.

    The area in front of the entrance was overflowing with various flowers, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff at the front desk and the shop were also very courteous. We stayed for two nights and used the buffet four times, and every dish was very delicious. The Chinese food, desserts, yogurt, and milk were especially exquisite. The bath was a bit small and slightly lukewarm, I thought, but it was nice to soak in the open-air bath for a long time. The 5% discount at the shop and the coffee service in the lobby were also appreciated. I would love to visit again. The hairdryer in the room was in a curious position, but that's just a charming quirk (laugh).
