    The food was very delicious, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were polite and very pleasant, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely visit again.

    Please give me a break.

    My wife, who rarely complains, unusually said she “didn’t want to stay here.” That was her impression after checking in. I wondered why, but the Room was… and the bathroom was… old—like a super cheap Business Hotel. Being old isn’t necessarily bad if it’s properly maintained. But this wasn’t at that level... I just want to say that it felt unbelievable for this property to be listed on IKYU.

    The French dinner re...

    The French dinner reflected the chef’s passion and was as refined as what you’d enjoy at a top Hotel in central Tokyo; it was truly delicious. The beef tongue stew at the morning buffet was so good that, even though I’m not a big eater, I went back for seconds. From the breakfast restaurant window, I could watch the river flowing below, which was very soothing. When I got off the Shuttle Service bus, check-in had already been prepared for me, so I didn’t have to wait and was happy to be able to enter my Room right away. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen Hotel.

    I was satisfied with almost everything. The Shuttle Service was easy to find and comfortable, check-in was smooth, dinner was delicious and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced, the bath let me enjoy piping-hot natural hot spring water, and the view from the Room was like a painting—wonderful. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and I was very satisfied. Overall, I had a great stay. The only downside was that at check-out, the staff member’s breath smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was very unpleasant.

    Solo Travel

    It was my first trip in 40 years. The bath facilities felt a bit different. As a 73-year-old, I couldn't finish all the food, but the taste was perfectly to my liking and delicious!

    French × Onsen

    Choosing French cuisine was the right decision as buffets are common during trips! The front desk and restaurant staff provided courteous service, including accommodations for elderly guests. Thank you!

    This was my first stay. I chose a Plan with breakfast and dinner included, but the dinner portions were small. Even for an adult male who drinks alcohol, it felt insufficient. I tried both Japanese and Western meals on two occasions, but both were the same. It was unfortunate despite my visit.

    Delicious dinner

    The building and facility show some signs of aging as it has been nearly 40 years since opening, but the service was excellent, and the French dinner was absolutely exquisite. The onsen with its own natural hot spring source keeps you warm and leaves your skin smooth, which delighted my wife. Although it's slightly away from the center of Akiu Onsen, it is a great accommodation.

    Standard aging Hotel

    The aging of the accommodation is undeniable. The sink in the room is located next to the bed, reflecting an older design. Sounds echo unpleasantly within the room, and parts of the walls and ceiling are peeling or stained. The bath area is small for a hotel of this size, with limited washing spaces and no partitions between them, causing water to splash from others nearby. There are other issues as well, but considering the Accommodation Fee, it seems reasonable for what it offers.
