    Significantly better than a Business Hotel.

    I stayed in an Economy Single (Double?) Room in the annex. Dinner was not available as part of the plan, but the breakfast buffet was on par with an Onsen Hotel, and the Room seemed to have been renovated and was very clean. I also enjoyed the large Onsen public bath. For dinner, I ate at the Chinese restaurant in the Hotel, and both the taste and prices were excellent. I definitely recommend this over staying at a Business Hotel.

    I like this Hotel’s bathhouse.

    I stay here when I have business trips to the Suwa area. It had been a while since my last stay, as I hadn’t had the chance to stay recently. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially like the large public bath, and even on a one-night stay, I used it twice—at night and again the next morning. I’d like to stay here again on my next business trip.

    If it’s not peak season, this option is available.

    This is probably my third stay. The highlight is the large public bath with an open-air bath as well. (This time I soaked in the medicinal bath.) Some of the in-Room amenities feel a bit dated (no modern key card, the unit bath in the Room can hurt if you catch your foot at the entrance, and there’s a sulfur smell from the natural Onsen), so that’s minus one star. Everything else is more than enough. The Onsen gives you a light hot-spring therapy vibe. (The Onsen area has been thoroughly cleaned up.) If you can stay for 10,000 yen, it’s excellent value for money.

    Warm and attentive hospitality

    The Hotel itself seems to have a fair bit of history and feels a little old, but it was an Accommodation where you could really feel the attentive hospitality that makes up for it. I also appreciated the Shuttle Service to Kamisuwa Station; the staff in charge of the Shuttle Service and the front desk staff were all very polite and pleasant, so I had a comfortable stay. The Room was clean and spacious, and I was able to relax. However, while the sauna was fine, it was a bit disappointing that only the open-air bath closed at 10:00 p.m. The price was reasonable as well, so I would like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    New Year’s Holidays

    The views were very nice. I stayed here hoping to enjoy the snowy scenery around the area, but there was no snow at all, so I was a bit disappointed. The Hotel had great meals and excellent service.

    We stayed as a famil...

    We stayed as a family of three. The Room in the main building felt a bit dated in places, but it was well maintained and comfortable. We made a Reservation for a private bath for my elderly mother, and it was more spacious and easier to use than we expected, so she was very pleased. The bedding didn’t suit us perfectly, which was disappointing, but we were satisfied overall and would like to stay at this Accommodation again when we visit Suwa.

    Only the open-air Onsen bath is available in the large public bath.

    It’s great that the large public bath is available for a morning soak from 4:30 a.m. However, the Onsen is only in the open-air bath; the indoor baths are an obsidian bath and an herbal bath. It was nice to have plenty of washing stations. The Chinese dinner course was very good. I’d like to stay again. At breakfast, the buffet was inconvenient because there was only one toaster oven for bread. The pancake batter wasn’t very good. At other hotels, you place a plate under the dispenser, but here several pancakes were cooked and placed directly on the surface—I thought someone had pressed the button. I was also happy that the in-room TV includes BS channels. I’ll be back again.

    The hospitality is exceptional.

    The building itself feels a bit old in places, but the service was so outstanding that it didn’t bother me at all. Everyone greeted us, was very polite, and had such a warm manner that we naturally felt relaxed throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the view was beautiful too.

    Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great.

    Unfortunately, the weather was not great, but the view of Lake Suwa from the upper floors helped us relax. However, we found hair in the Room sink, and for some reason there was also a tissue on the toilet floor, which was disappointing. The food unfortunately did not suit our taste, and perhaps due to other guests’ manners, the large public bath after dinner was very dirty and unpleasant. However, service standards were well maintained; while the younger staff responded exactly by the manual, there was no unnecessary chatting among employees and we could see them working in a pleasant manner.

    A Hotel of the Perfect Size

    It feels like a middle ground between a business hotel and a large Hotel, and I felt the Facility offerings were very well equipped for its capacity. Also, the hammock and background music on the terrace overlooking Lake Suwa were great. The chatter while waiting for the elevator from group guests was noisy. The breakfast venue also seems crowded until 8:00. The view from the Room was nice. Both the public bath and the restaurant are spacious and well equipped.

    The bath is wonderful.

    Great value for money. The baths are amazing. There are multiple tubs, and the men’s and women’s baths switch between night and morning, so even with a one-night stay you can enjoy more of them. We stayed two nights, so we were able to enjoy everything both at night and in the morning. There is a Shuttle Service from Kamisuwa Station, which was very helpful since we didn’t have to walk with our luggage. Waking up to the view of Lake Suwa was the best way to start the day.

    Great value for money, and the staff left a positive impression.

    During a business trip to Kamisuwa, I decided to stay at this Hotel by Lake Suwa. The staff at the front desk and elsewhere were very polite and attentive. In terms of facilities, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and the lack of excessive services was also a plus. For dinner, I initially thought about having "unagi" outside but ended up dining at the Hotel's Chinese restaurant due to fatigue. The meal exceeded its price in quality and was highly satisfying. Of course, the Onsen was excellent as well. Overall, I think this Hotel offers exceptional value for money.

    Enjoy Onsen at a reasonable price

    Enjoy a solo trip with Onsen, and relax at an affordable price. The plan includes amenities and breakfast. The content is fulfilling and very good. Dinner is available at a reasonable price at the Chinese restaurant within the hotel, with delicious a la carte menu options.

    About the Room

    About the Room I stayed at the Palace building. As per the reviews, it was old but clean. However, I didn't expect the toilet seat not to have a heating function, which was unexpected. Instead, there were adhesive sheets sold at 100-yen shops. Also, the refrigerator was very large. I don't think many people would use this size alone, so it might be better to place something else instead. The faucet had separate taps for hot and cold water, making it difficult to adjust the temperature. It was hard to get the right temperature, and when I finally set it, I felt guilty about leaving it running, but I thought it was better than getting burned. I chose a lake view room, and I was delighted that the view was better than I imagined. The clock attached to the bed was constantly bright, and I think I woke up every hour. I wish it could be dimmed at least. About the Bath The quality of the spring, the view, and the variety were all wonderful. I wasn't one to take morning baths, but it was so good that I went in. It was so good that I would want to stay again just for this bath. There were a reasonable number of washing areas, lockers, and baskets in the changing room, so I could use them smoothly. If I had to suggest an improvement, I would like the hairdryer to be the latest Nano Care model. Since the bath is so good, it would be nice to have a good experience after the bath as well. About the New Year Project Thank you for the valuable opportunity. I would appreciate it if you could write the details if possible. I thought I would see Lake Suwa in the morning with the hotel staff. If it's just an observation of the ice formation, those who are not familiar might not immediately think that the title's parishioners are involved. Please make it a content that allows many people to experience this wonderful opportunity.

    Among the hotels in the area, it offers quite good value for money.

    Not only the staff but also many guests are from foreign countries. The receptionist was a young Southeast Asian woman, but her Japanese was excellent, and her service was natural and very kind. The natural smile of the woman who assisted us was impressive. The parking lot is spacious, and I am almost satisfied, but what bothered me was that the breakfast buffet did not have the most common vegetables like tomatoes and lettuce in the salad, which was disappointing. (I assume it's because the price of vegetables is soaring.)

    The service, meals, and Onsen were all excellent.

    It was my first time staying in Suwa. I wasn't familiar with the area and hadn't researched much in advance, but the onsen was wonderful with an open-air bath and various baths with different benefits, making it very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, including local cuisine, which was delightful. The taste was also very delicious. On a whim, I decided to visit Suwa Taisha, and there was a bus stop nearby. The front desk staff kindly provided directions. The hotel is by the lake, offering a fantastic view, and taking a walk early in the morning feels great! At night, there are buildings with a Thai restaurant, a yakiniku restaurant, and a ramen shop, so even if you travel spontaneously, you won't have any trouble. Unfortunately, I couldn't visit this time, but it seems there's a delicious bakery nearby, so I definitely want to stay again.

    I think it's very good.

    The inquiries and accommodation confirmation calls were very polite. This stay was in conjunction with participating in a marathon, and despite being fully booked, the service was very courteous. The room had high soundproofing, so I wasn't bothered by surrounding noises and could spend my time comfortably. The meals were delicious, and the onsen was relaxing, which helped relieve the fatigue from the marathon. Our group stayed this time, and everyone was satisfied. I would like to use it again when I visit Lake Suwa.

    The bath and the staff's service were pleasant!

    The bath was very nice. The water was gentle, and I was able to relax and enjoy the Onsen while gazing at Lake Suwa. The staff's service was also good, and although it was just a one-night stay, I was able to refresh myself.

    There were so many people.

    Both dinner and breakfast were crowded, and our table was near a very lively group, so we couldn't relax at all. The bath was also lukewarm, and many people were bathing there, so we couldn't enjoy a leisurely bath. Although it was a Sunday stay, perhaps due to the tourist season, there were many groups of elderly people and families with children. The cost performance is too poor. Thank you.

    Accommodation with views of Lake Suwa and Mount Fuji

    Stayed the night before the Takeya Miso Festival. Upon check-in, a female staff member loaded our luggage onto a cart and guided us to our room, leaving a good impression. The structure requires changing elevators and crossing a corridor from the main building to the annex, so guidance is necessary to avoid getting lost. The view from the lakeside terrace on the 6th floor is excellent, making it pleasant after a bath. Highly recommended. The bath area offers various types of tubs, making it enjoyable. The dinner venue staff were all very efficient, and I was particularly impressed by the young female staff member's courteous service. The view of Lake Suwa from our room was great, and the room was spacious enough. Overall, it was evident that the staff were working very hard. Unfortunately, the room cleaning check was insufficient. It's a shame considering their efforts.

    The rooftop terrace is excellent.

    Basically, it was a lovely hotel! However, it's very, very disappointing that the open-air bath closes at 10:30! I wish it could be open at least until around midnight. Also, the rooftop terrace is amazing! It would be nice to have some sunshades like parasols. There are few shaded areas, making it difficult for women to use, and even though there's a nice breeze, it's unusable on hot days. Even though there are hammocks... That's a shame! I'm posting this with the hope that it will be improved! It's a hotel I still want to use!

    Good dinner

    I had the Chinese dish, Koos. It was a bit sweet, but very delicious. The portion was large, a bit too much for me, but I managed to finish it. The final dish was yakisoba with ankake and salt flavor, and I finished it completely. I was satisfied.
