    A sense of openness you won’t find in a Hotel

    Whether coming from the Nago side or the Motobu side, the entrance sign is hard to spot, so you end up relying on Google Maps. The first time you drive up, that final uphill section like a hairpin turn makes you wonder, “Is this really the right way?” It might be kinder to include clearer directions about the road. There is also another cottage nearby, and the guidance for both is hard to understand. This time we arrived while it was still light, so it wasn’t too difficult, but I think guests arriving after dark will struggle. The Facility is well equipped, but this time the batteries in the electric mosquito repellent were dead; when I opened the washing machine to use it, there was laundry inside (I don’t know whether it was left by a previous guest or put there by housekeeping); and the bathroom cleaning felt a bit insufficient. These are small service details needed to make good use of what’s provided, and I can’t say they were fully taken care of. Email replies are quick, but I think guests would be happier if the owner occasionally came by in person to check whether everything on site is properly prepared. I’m not expecting Hotel-level service, but thorough preparation before welcoming guests is basic Accommodation service anywhere. As for the living/dining area with a sofa bed and table set for stays of more than two people: I understand it can’t always be helped, but when used by two people only, the sofa bed got in the way. There is also a nice sofa; in my opinion it would be better to replace that with a sofa bed and remove this one so circulation improves and it becomes more comfortable. The table and chairs are very heavy as well; considering operations, lighter furniture might be sufficient. Including the neighboring cottage there are only four buildings in total, and since each terrace unit has its own private terrace as well, openness is outstanding. There’s no doubt this kind of place is perfect for relaxing slowly with a beer—so I hope operational aspects will continue to improve.

    A Sunset Where Time Stands Still

    The Facility is not a Hotel, so it is as expected, but the view that spreads from the excellent location is truly panoramic. Enjoying a drink while savoring the best sunset and conversing with a loved one became the best memory. It's also nice to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of Naha. Access to the Yanbaru area was also good.
