    I was looking forward to staying in the newly renovated Room. From the Room, we could see the Tenryu River, and we were also able to enjoy the beautiful fireworks at night. Since the bedroom and living area are separate, I was able to relax without worrying about the TV noise. The large public bath was kept clean and comfortable to use. The lockers in the changing room can be locked, so I felt safe soaking in the bath. The in-room bath is a bit small, but I think it’s perfectly fine for one person. The Room amenities also showed great attention to detail, with Sekkisei skincare items and bath salts. Dinner was served in the Room, and everything came out at a good pace so we could enjoy each dish at the right temperature. The fish served with the chef’s original sauce was delicious. I also felt that the carp sashimi-style dish was enhanced by the sesame vinegar miso sauce. The miso soup at breakfast was delicious as well—just as other Reviews said. I would love to visit again.

    It’s about what you’d expect. Even meals in the banquet hall required us to ask first, but it’s an Accommodation that matches the price.

    This Accommodation offers great value for money.

    It was an Accommodation where we could relax while looking out over the Tenryu River. The Onsen is a simple spring, but perhaps because it is alkaline, it feels gentle on the skin and has a slightly silky texture. In Tokyo, this would be in a price range that would be hard to find even for a business stay, but here the meal portions were more than sufficient and overall we felt satisfied. The seasoning is on the sweeter side, but if it suits your taste, you can truly enjoy it. The Room was also properly cleaned, and we had a comfortable stay. It’s located near the base of a bridge, so the location itself isn’t bad, but since the sign is small, it may be a little hard to find on your first visit. If you’re driving there, using navigation will give you peace of mind. Overall, it was a Ryokan with a nostalgic atmosphere that hints at its lively days with group travelers during the Showa era. It isn’t flashy, but for those who want to spend quiet time while watching the river, it’s quite an appealing place to stay.

    There is an accommodation located on the riverside where the Tenryu River flows along the western edge of the Southern Alps mountain range. Built on a hill by the river, this five-story building offers exceptional views. Despite its scenic location, it is conveniently accessible as it is right next to a major road. The view varies depending on the room, but west-facing rooms are recommended for the best scenery. The staff are kind and dedicated, though minor mismatches may occur occasionally. The rooms are clean and free from any musty odors. While some reviews mention dirty windows, this seems to be due to structural challenges in cleaning rather than negligence. Fresh flowers displayed throughout the facility reflect the staff's daily efforts to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. The property boasts many highlights such as a well-polished glass elevator offering stunning views, scenic vistas from within the building, and its advantageous location near an interchange (IC). From spacious and spotless rooms, guests can relax while enjoying views of flowing rivers or city lights. Meals feature dishes prepared with abundant fresh ingredients; however, evaluations of food quality remain subjective.

    Fireworks, Stars, and Night Views

    I stayed on August 16th. The staff at the Ryokan told me about a spot where I could watch the fireworks festival from a bridge over the Tenryu River near the Ryokan. Although it was a bit far, I was able to enjoy two different fireworks festivals at once. The cool breeze on the bridge made it comfortable, and I could leisurely enjoy the two-hour display. Afterward, when I casually asked the staff, they kindly recommended spots with no streetlights for stargazing and places with beautiful night views. Driving around to these locations made my trip even more fulfilling and enjoyable. The meals at the Ryokan were also delicious and satisfying!

    The meat was incredibly delicious.

    The dinner meat was very delicious. However, the rice at breakfast was cold and hard, which was disappointing. Simple warm rice, miso soup, and grilled fish would provide satisfaction.

    It was a relaxing and nice Stays.

    The Tenryu River could be seen from the room. Many of the other guests were calm, allowing for a relaxing stay. The meals were also delicious. At night, a hot water bottle was placed in the futon, which was enough to keep me warm and sleep comfortably. The consideration of the staff at the property is appreciated, making it a good stay.
