  The outdated facilities may be challenging for guests traveling with a baby.

  We stayed during the Obon holiday with a baby, but there is no elevator in the building, and the entrance is stairs only. There are many steps throughout, so a stroller cannot be used inside. The ceilings are also low, and taller guests may bump their heads. As an older Ryokan, these Facility limitations stood out. While they try to make up for it with hospitality such as preparing baby items, it still doesn’t fully offset the drawbacks of the Facilities. Even considering peak-season pricing, we were concerned about the poor value for money at nearly JPY 100,000 per night. At this price point, there seem to be many higher-grade options available elsewhere.

  The Facility is certainly old.

  As stated on the website, the Facilities seem quite old, but they have been renovated as much as possible, and you can feel thoughtful hospitality throughout. The flush remote control in the in-room toilet did not respond and I was unable to flush, so I used the shared toilet in the hallway, but that was the only issue. This time I couldn’t make a Reservation for a Plan with meals, so next time I would like to enjoy the meals. Without at least breakfast, it’s tough since there is nothing nearby. There is a lighthouse right in front of the property, and the view from the room is wonderful.

  The ocean is right in front of you.

  The property offers a stunning ocean view right in front, and the lighthouse is within walking distance. You can enjoy a peaceful time listening to the gentle sound of the waves. Please note that nearby shops close early, so it’s recommended to call ahead if you plan to dine out.
