    We had a relaxing stay.

My spouse and I stayed in a newly renovated Room. The Room was new and very pleasant. However, the sofa bed was not easy to use, and although there was a table, it was disappointing that there were no comfortable chairs to sit on for a relaxing time. The Room also had a balcony with a large window overlooking the mountain stream, but we felt that having chairs on the balcony would have allowed us to enjoy the view more leisurely. That said, it was all-inclusive, with alcohol as well as coffee, black tea, and various kinds of tea available to enjoy at any time. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, but the dining area felt like a typical banquet hall, which was a bit disappointing. The food selection also felt somewhat lacking; however, considering the price, we thought it was very good overall and we were able to relax. There is also a table tennis area, and next time we would like to stay with our children.

The all-inclusive package is the best!

Upon arriving at Omoide Roman-kan by car, staff were already there and guided us to the parking area. Their service was polite and pleasant, leaving a great first impression. In the lobby, you can enjoy as many drinks as you like. There were draft beer, sparkling wine, and sake as well. It’s available not only at check-in but also after the baths, and they also had ice pops. No matter what you have, there are no extra charges. The meals offered a wide variety of dishes, all of them delicious. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy local specialties. Here too, no matter how much alcohol you drink, there is no additional fee. The Room was a twin Room, very spacious and spotless. The sofa and cushions were perfect for relaxing comfortably. The baths were excellent as well—the tea open-air bath felt amazing. It’s also great that there is a separate riverside open-air bath. Large public bath before dinner, riverside open-air bath after dinner… I even went in both before and after breakfast. The massage chairs were free to use too. This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive Accommodation, and it was truly exceptional—everything was taken care of for us. I would love to stay again.

Feel free to enjoy an all-inclusive stay.

This was my second stay. I came back because I loved the open-air bath by the mountain stream, the massage chairs you can use while looking out over the stream, and the view from the Room. This Hotel offers all-inclusive at an affordable price. It’s not a luxury experience given the low cost, but the staff clearly work hard to keep guests satisfied and run limited-time events. This time, there was a tea-themed program where we enjoyed delicious tea and pizza, and even a tea-infused bath, which was great fun. Meals are buffet-style. Dinner had a wide variety with an international feel, but breakfast was mainly Japanese dishes, so I would have liked a few more Western options—for example, more Danish pastries, or replacing the rolled omelet with something like quiche or a Spanish omelet. Overall it was a very satisfying stay, and I would definitely like to return again.

    When my husband and ...

When my husband and I stayed here before, we felt it would be easy for seniors to visit as well, so this time I brought my mother. The Room with an open-air bath was spacious, and the view from the deck was wonderful. It was actually a semi-open-air bath rather than fully open-air, but apples were provided so we could enjoy an apple bath in the Room, which made my mother very happy. We also appreciated the free drinks. This time, a staff member told us there was apple pizza available, and we were grateful to be able to try it. It was delicious. As we already knew, the large public bath and the open-air bath are separated, so it’s a bit of a hassle to change clothes and move between them. However, the hot spring water is excellent, so we were glad we came. This time there was even a large apple floating in the bath, which made us feel you can enjoy something different each season. Perhaps because it was the off-season, the dining area felt small. I was disappointed that there weren’t any carts like I saw elderly guests using last time, but the salad selection was plentiful and tasty. Just like last time, there was no information at all about craft activities such as making herbarium items—maybe because we’re not part of a younger generation? My mother really enjoyed herself, so I’m glad we came.

    Family-friendly travel

We chose this Hotel for a one-night stop on our way back from Fukushima. It had great reviews, and we were also interested because it’s part of the same group as a Hotel we stayed at in Oarai this summer. There was apple juice among the free drinks that day, and it was very delicious. Our child happily drank it. The Room for making photo frames was small and full, so we couldn’t make one. That was disappointing and still feels like a missed opportunity. You can’t deny the age of the Room. However, it’s reasonably spacious and clean. That said, I didn’t like the smell of the hand soap—it smelled like men’s shaving products. Since you dry your hands with paper towels, it’s nice that towels don’t get damp. There was a warning sign about slipping in the large public bath, so we were careful, but I still slipped. There were non-slip mats as well, but they didn’t help enough. It was my first time trying an apple bath, and it was fun. The changing area felt small. The stream-style bath has a cold changing area in winter, but it had a nice atmosphere. The Room with free massage chairs had large windows and felt open; I tried them out, and they were new with plenty available, which was great. For meals, we could enjoy local Okukuji specialties. It was my first time trying overnight-dried ayu (sweetfish), and it was extremely delicious. The sausage on the bone was popular and ran out quickly, and refills took quite a while to come out again. I’d like to visit in summer as well. Thank you for your hospitality."""

    It was great.

It’s a traditional Onsen Ryokan. It doesn’t have the latest facilities, but that’s not what I’m looking for. Considering the price, it offers excellent value for money. I appreciate the alcohol-free option, but there are only beer and wine. If they had highballs or shochu as well, I’d have no complaints.

The open-air riverside hot spring was wonderful.

It was challenging to get there due to the rain, but the Onsen was warm and very pleasant. We enjoyed local ingredients, but since the all-inclusive service only accepted orders until 9 PM, we couldn't fully enjoy it as our dining time was quite late. (Understandably for the staff's convenience.) We chose Onsen over alcohol, so it couldn't be helped. Next time, I'll bring my own towel and hairdryer.

    What is all-inclusive?

I stayed in a Western-style room with an open-air bath. The room was clean, and the bath, though slightly lukewarm, was enjoyable. The view from inside the room and balcony was quite different from the exterior walls, which showed signs of aging. Although it is advertised as all-inclusive, services outside the dinner venue are only available from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Items like milk are sold through vending machines, and in the morning only coffee is provided. The drink selection at the dinner venue is limited, and there are fewer food options compared to standard buffets—no classic Chinese dishes either. However, the grilled ayu fish and steak were excellent. Desserts were also limited in variety. Compared to regular buffets that aren't all-inclusive, this felt lacking overall. Breakfast had a sufficient variety of items. If meals improve, I would consider staying again. This isn't specific to this accommodation but rather a general observation: pricing based on per-person rates instead of room + meal costs feels odd for buffet-style accommodations like this one. Even if multiple people stay in one room or others pay less than half my rate for similar meals and services, we all receive identical dining experiences—it raises questions about fairness in pricing structure. For high-end ryokans where service quality justifies costs alongside meals provided, it makes more sense to me!

    I had a comfortable stay.

Not new, but well-maintained, and the staff's hospitality was excellent, making for a comfortable stay. Two points of concern: - The "limited one twin room" looked quite different from the photos. If it has been renovated, updating the pictures would be helpful. It was a bit disappointing that the closet or wardrobe had become smaller. - The all-inclusive service is great! However, it would be even better if there were more drink options in the lounge. Also, having juice available after a morning bath would be perfect. That said, it's still a wonderful Hotel!

    Satisfied.

Stayed in a Western-style room with a private open-air bath. Very satisfied with everything considering the price range. Would love to revisit this accommodation if given the chance. ① Room & Amenities: A place to hang bathrobes and bath towels would be appreciated. ② Service: There was a line for the coffee machine in the all-inclusive lobby area; having an additional machine would be helpful. It would also be nice to have more variety of snacks available. ③ Onsen/Bath: The room's bath was excellent in both size and temperature, and the balcony provided a relaxing space as well. ④ Facility: Enjoyed making free photo frames at the craft activity corner. ⑤ Dining: Although it was buffet-style, time slots were well-organized, avoiding crowding, and there were many delicious dishes available. Each station had staff ensuring warm food was always served fresh, which we enjoyed very much. However, there was a line for tea; perhaps this could be improved? Also, apple juice would be a great addition! Overall, it was an extremely satisfying and relaxing stay—thank you very much!

    ...

The stay was all-inclusive, but the lounge drinks (alcohol) were limited to beer and wine, with no sours available (though they were offered during dinner), so I stuck to soft drinks. Snacks were served in containers about half the height of a paper cup, which barely fit any potato chips. I thought paper plates might be more efficient, but perhaps it was designed to limit portions? Dinner was also a buffet, but nothing particularly stood out. The grilled meat served fresh was quite tasty though. One concern I had was that at the alcohol station, a mat on the floor seemed misaligned and when staff adjusted it with their hands, they didn’t change gloves before arranging cups. Perhaps this is just a cultural difference as it involved foreign staff members, but it felt off to me. As for the Room, there was an odor in the toilet area—possibly due to drainage issues—which might be unavoidable given its age. The public bath area was spacious and enjoyable. Overall, personally speaking, I felt that the experience did not quite match up to its price point.

    It was excellent.

Stayed here on the second night of a 5-night, 6-day trip to Northern Kanto. Compared to the business hotel I stayed at on the first night, the room here was more spacious and felt much more relaxing. The room had a large bath on the balcony side, which provided a sense of openness and allowed me to fully unwind. Although I only had breakfast, every dish was delicious. I even joined in with the little kids for a craft experience—it was so much fun! It became a wonderful memory for me.

    Entire property

The cleanliness of the facility and room was perfect! I wonder if the temperature of the open-air bath in the room could be adjusted? I wanted to raise the Onsen temperature a bit. The quality of the buffet meal was average, and the variety of fruits and bread was somewhat lacking. However, customer service, area, and timing left a good impression, so I would like to visit again.

The all-inclusive services, the staff's hospitality, and the cleanliness of the Hotel were impressive overall. However, while the retro Showa-era vibe of the Hotel has its charm, it also has its drawbacks. The rusted iron balcony detracts from the otherwise stunning view. It would be wonderful if areas like plumbing could be updated—at least renewing the sanitary boxes in the toilets would make a difference. Even if prices increase slightly, I would love to return and stay again. That said, considering the current price point, I am very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I’m glad I made a re...

I’m glad I made a reservation for the tea-tasting experience. I learned about tea and how to brew it, and the melon yokan served with the tea was delicious. I even bought some as souvenirs. Coming from the Fukuroda Falls side, the back of the hotel looked a bit old, but it was well-maintained, and my room, a Japanese-style room with tatami mats, was clean and comfortable. I always read reviews carefully before choosing a hotel, so I hope this review helps others. While there were some issues like peeling wallpaper in places and no outlet in the bathroom as mentioned in other reviews (which was inconvenient), I found that concerns about thin futons were unfounded. The futon was clean, not too thin, and very comfortable—almost like a pressure-point mattress that provided good sleep quality. The all-inclusive alcohol selection might be limited with shorter serving hours; however, you can take drinks back to your room. During meals, there’s more variety of alcoholic beverages available to enjoy. Regarding the large public bath: while women’s baths were reportedly hot and men’s baths lukewarm according to my husband’s experience, there is an outdoor jacuzzi area which makes long soaks enjoyable. Another outdoor bath near the river had just the right temperature for extended relaxation. It was also nice that clocks were installed at all bathing areas—a small but thoughtful touch. The hot spring water quality itself was excellent—leaving skin smooth and silky! Even my husband commented on how soft his skin felt (laughs). The basket bag provided for carrying items from your room had tags with your room number attached to slippers—a unique feature we appreciated during our stay. As for meals: while nothing stood out as extraordinary overall everything tasted good! The rare eschalot dish caught my attention; grilled sweetfish (though slightly under-charred) along with sashimi konjac jelly were delightful treats too! Surprisingly sweet pineapple added another highlight despite occasional inconsistencies elsewhere previously experienced elsewhere meanwhile breakfast offerings equally satisfying! For elderly guests dining carts ensured safe mobility within meal venues showcasing thoughtful design ideas worth commending! Concerns included initial odor upon entering rooms alongside pollen-like debris covering vehicles outside upon departure necessitating unexpected car washes afterward unfortunately detracting somewhat otherwise positive impressions overall nonetheless minor grievances compared against broader satisfaction levels achieved throughout duration spent here ultimately outweighing negatives encountered The all-inclusive service is excellent, the room is spacious, and the Onsen in the room offers free-flowing hot spring water with great quality. It’s very cost-effective. Soaking in a bath with floating apples feels luxurious. The staff were all kind and provided attentive service. Thank you!

    I was able to relax.

The meals, onsen, and service were all very good. The shuttle service between Fukuroda Station, the waterfall, and the property was very helpful. We also enjoyed the evening violin concert, table tennis, and massage chairs. The open-air bath by the mountain stream was full of natural charm and was impressive. The bar where you can drink draft beer is perfect after a bath! The futon in the Japanese-style room was a bit thin, and my back felt sore, as I'm used to sleeping in a bed... but I slept well and, above all, felt refreshed both physically and mentally!

I was able to show filial piety.

The Onsen bath in the room was excellent! Of course, we were also very satisfied with the open-air river bath and the large public bath. I think the quality of the spring water is very good. The design of the room was lovely, and my family was impressed. We enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere with beer, wine, and coffee while waiting for our meal, and had lively conversations. The buffet was also excellent! I love sweetfish, so I ate a lot. The service was great too. We felt warmth. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

    Thank you for your patronage.

I invited my 92-year-old mother to stay. She couldn't go to the large public bath, so she enjoyed the onsen bath in the room, but she mentioned there were not enough apples. It was disappointing that there was no sauna in the large public bath. There was a cart-like item to make it easier for the elderly to take meals, which was very helpful. I felt that the meal could have included more unique items from Daigo. The staff were all very pleasant and full of smiles. Thank you.

    I stayed again with ...

I stayed again with a reservation, but there was information about a typhoon hitting on the originally planned stay date, and a cancellation fee was in effect, but I canceled by phone. Despite the typhoon's path not being confirmed, the cancellation fee was waived, and the staff's response was kind, so I decided to definitely stay and made a reservation again. Also, I arrived at the hotel in the morning and intended to leave my luggage and walk to Fukuroda Falls, but they kindly drove me there. The hotel provides shuttle service between Fukuroda Station and the hotel, and between the hotel and the entrance to Fukuroda Falls. These services were very well-received. Dinner was a buffet, which I was a bit concerned about, but although there weren't many elaborate dishes, there were well-prepared dishes using plenty of local ingredients, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's a casual hotel, but they handle staff shortages well and have devised ways to entertain guests. There are many Asian staff (such as people from Myanmar) who take care of us with energetic Japanese. Their Japanese is halting, but their energetic voices and dedicated work left me very satisfied. Watching these people, I can't help but think that one day the roles of Japanese and guests might reverse. There is one point that concerned me. It's the room's safe. It was at the very bottom of the closet, and the instructions were written on the top, so I tried to stick my head in to read them, but the letters were small and I couldn't read them, so I didn't use it in the end. I told several staff members about this, but it was like pushing against a curtain. I couldn't tell if they were listening or not. Perhaps this is a case of "a small hole can ruin a great dam." Overall, I thought it was a casual hotel that keeps prices reasonable and has various ways to please guests, making it easy for young people and families with children to stay.
