    I’d been wanting to ...

I’d been wanting to stay here, and I truly enjoyed it in great spirits. It was a calm and happy stay. The books in the Room were wonderful, too! I was also very pleased with the various perks at Moegi no Mura!

    The food was excellent!

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The hoto noodles at breakfast were especially amazing! The staff were very kind and provided great service. The building and rooms had a cute retro feel, which we really liked. The only downside was that the bathroom was a unit bath, but even so, it’s a Hotel we would like to stay at again.

I was moved by the sound of the music box during breakfast.

Surrounded by lush greenery, take a deep breath and you’ll catch the scent of trees and wildflowers. There is a nearby walking trail, and you can head to a small hill with a view of the waterfall. Sit down at the breakfast venue and take a moment to relax. When the music box chimes at 8:00, it creates a truly wonderful atmosphere. The meal was also vegetable-focused and very delicious. It may have been the first time in a while that I felt this satisfied with breakfast. P.S. Thank you for sending my forgotten item to my home.

    A quiet and pleasant place.

This was my first visit to Kiyosato, and I was impressed by the clear air and beautiful scenery. The Hotel was just as beautiful as the surroundings, and I was able to relax very comfortably. Since I checked in late, the nearby shops were already closed, so I wish I had checked in a bit earlier. Breakfast was also very delicious and filling—I was completely satisfied. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    A stylish, old-fashioned lodge

This is a stylishly appointed lodge, with a design well suited to the town of Kiyosato. The restaurant at breakfast and dinner creates a wonderful atmosphere that truly represents the Facility—and the food more than lives up to it. Dinner is proper French cuisine: two appetizers, soup, fish, meat, then dessert and coffee. Everything was delicious, the paired wines were superb, and all staff were courteous with clear, just-right explanations. The only drawback is that breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m., which feels a bit late; after enjoying plenty of fresh forest air on an early-morning walk after 5:00 a.m., I would have liked to satisfy my hunger sooner. Still, once seated at the table, that thought disappears as an impressive spread appears before you: six kinds of side dishes featuring plenty of local vegetables, hoto in place of miso soup, plus rice cooked with Jerusalem artichoke. With yogurt topped with rhubarb for dessert and green coffee as well, it could be described as creative Japanese cuisine. It was every bit as satisfying as the previous night’s course. However, there was one important issue unrelated to ingredients: lacquered chopsticks. These were not acceptable. They made it difficult to eat even the hoto noodles—one of the highlights. My chopstick skills are perfectly fine; these chopsticks are not. They should be wooden or bamboo. That was disappointing. The Room is spacious and the bed is excellent. Unfortunately, the “three-piece unit bath” is very small compared with the Room space and inconvenient to use. Couldn’t the toilet and bath at least be separated? Better yet, could there be a shared bathing area like in a pension? The toilets by reception and on the restaurant floor were both spacious and clean—so much so that I went out of my way to use them instead.

    Wonderful

I stayed with a one-night stay including dinner and breakfast. The Hotel was quiet and relaxing, and the front desk staff provided calm, excellent service. The dinner restaurant also had a wonderful atmosphere, and I enjoyed the set course meal. Each dish was carefully explained, and it was clear that everything was prepared with great care. It was my first time visiting Kiyosato, and many locally sourced ingredients were used. I was truly moved to be able to enjoy regional ingredients prepared so beautifully while traveling. The service was also outstanding, and I was able to savor a perfect course meal for the first time in a long while. Breakfast was Japanese-style, and I could enjoy local dishes such as hoto noodles, which made for a wonderful morning. If I have the chance to visit Kiyosato again, I would definitely like to stay here.

    Accommodation Reviews

The staff provided excellent service with natural smiles, making my stay very satisfying. Both breakfast and dinner were refined, featuring local ingredients, and were delicious. The bar had a great atmosphere and was a relaxing space. It would be helpful if the lighting on the stairs leading to the room could be made brighter or if there were some handrail improvements, as my eyesight is slightly impaired. Additionally, while the approach and exterior of the building have a wonderful ambiance, it would be appreciated if there were discreet handrails for the outdoor stairs leading to the check-in counter. The garden and landscaping are stunning; however, I was surprised when people strolling through appeared right in front of my room. It might be better to restrict access near rooms for privacy. I look forward to staying again during another season.

    Summer Tourism in Nobeyama

We chose this accommodation after looking for a place to stay following an observatory visit, considering our budget, shuttle service availability, and proximity to restaurants for dinner. We received admission tickets to the Music Box Museum, enjoyed strolling around Moegi Village, and were guided to the Milk Pot location the next day for a visit.

    We had a great time.

The Room and meals were excellent. I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. P.S. Regarding the bath, as the bathtub is large... I think it would be better to have a handrail on the wall.

A wonderful Hotel with a spirit of hospitality

All the staff provided courteous service. The Hotel is small with fewer rooms, but this allows for meticulous attention to detail. The assortment of cookies prepared in the Room was locally made and very delicious. The herbal tea and coffee also showed great care in selection. The Room was clean as well. Since I was staying with my child, I requested a specific bed arrangement, which they accommodated willingly. Breakfast was carefully prepared and delicious. The portion size was just right, and even the final cup of coffee was delightful. The view from the restaurant, surrounded by nature, was soothing. I would definitely like to stay again! Thank you!

    Mostly satisfied

Second stay This time, I chose a plan with breakfast only and was pleased to be guided to the same room as before. I can't clearly remember if the bathroom was renovated, but it felt clean. The bathtub is small for soaking up to the shoulders, but that's acceptable. For meals, I enjoyed dinner at the neighboring restaurant and had delicious Japanese-style breakfast at the hotel. I couldn't tell if there were other guests staying, but it felt a bit lonely.

High level of meals. The Room and bath were also clean.

The staff were generally kind, the meals were impeccable, and the bar welcomed us warmly. From check-in to check-out, it was a highly satisfying trip. It was an excellent hotel that we thoroughly enjoyed. I had read some old travel reviews mentioning worn-out pajamas and issues with water temperature in the bathing area, so I was prepared for that. However, the pajamas were crisp and white like those typical of a hotel, and although it was a unit bath, it had been beautifully renovated with stable water temperature. The sound from the unit bath wasn't noticeable at all because of running tap water for handwashing, and there was no lingering odor. The room wasn't extremely spacious but didn't feel cramped at all; it had an intriguingly good layout. The flow seemed well-designed. Also, everything appeared to be cleaned thoroughly every day as there wasn't any dust visible even when exposed to clear winter air and light. However, given the severe cold wave with temperatures feeling as low as Hokkaido's minimums (Hokkaido), we used both air conditioning and heaters while boiling water for humidity control through ventilation. Additionally, we brought an electric blanket from home; without it our feet might have gotten quite cold. Since it was freezing outside anyway, we didn't feel like going out to onsen either but instead stayed in enjoying delicious meals along with clean baths plus attentive service—so much so that leaving became difficult! Ironically enough staying indoors turned out great too! There weren't any vending machines around so after buying various things at Seven-Eleven about three minutes away by foot before entering property itself—we found ourselves satisfied enough not reaching out towards snacks during night-time sleep hours due largely thanks again due partly because drinkable tap-water meant no worries regarding hydration needs whatsoever! As an aside: although checkout time allowed until 10:30 AM—we left around ten aiming towards Sun Meadows (Sanmedozu) only finding rental skis requiring two-hour wait alongside similar long queues purchasing lift tickets amidst crowded facilities leading us ultimately deciding against visiting Kiyosato Terrace altogether opting instead exploring Moegi Village nearby leisurely enjoying ourselves despite lack information available via X beforehand warning others potential challenges depending upon their specific goals perhaps worth considering sharing such insights accordingly moving forward... By chance though fortunately stumbled across wonderful property making entire experience enjoyable overall—thankful indeed!

    It was a wonderful Stays.

Whether at the front desk, the restaurant, the bar, or during the Shuttle Service, we received very warm hospitality and were able to relax greatly. Both the delicious dinner and breakfast, carefully prepared, were just the right amount, and we were very satisfied. Not only the wonderful garden we were looking forward to, but the entire Moegi no Sato was a very comfortable place, and we enjoyed our stay more than we expected. We look forward to visiting again after the renovation.

    Halloween at Hat Walden

Hat Walden is a truly wonderful Stays that you'll want to visit again and again. In October, the Halloween atmosphere is very lovely, and because there was fog at night, we were able to enjoy the more magical garden. The Bar Perch at night is also a very relaxing place where you can enjoy wonderful cocktails! The Halloween-themed cocktails are fun and delicious, so if you like a calm place, be sure to visit.
