    This is our regular Accommodation for our beloved dog.

    I was looking forward to staying again during this year’s Obon holiday. When I entered the Room, I immediately noticed a large bloodstain on the tatami in the middle of the entrance area. It made me feel sick right away. The cleaning staff would have noticed it as well. Dogs in heat aren’t allowed to stay, are they? It may have happened unexpectedly, but I think it’s proper etiquette for the owner to report it to the Hotel staff. Since the tatami is vinyl, I believe it could be removed with cleaning agents. I had been so excited, but seeing that bloodstain all the time was very disappointing.

    Girls’ Trip with Your Dog

    I traveled with my dog and friends. It was my first time at Wanpara Lake Hamana, and I was truly impressed by how kind the staff were. The meals were wonderful—enjoyable to look at and delicious to eat. There was a clean dog run for dogs, and we had a great time playing there. The Onsen was also excellent. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    Surprised

    I was surprised to receive a call the day before my stay asking for my arrival time “today.” It made me worry that I had made a mistake with my Reservation. After they checked, it turned out I hadn’t done anything wrong. However, at check-in there was no apology, and they acted as if nothing had happened. At the very least, I would have appreciated a simple “Sorry about yesterday.” Even considering the price, getting that kind of call while I was staying at another Accommodation was quite alarming. The Room toilet was dirty and disappointing. On the positive side, the dog run, paw-wiping towels, and staff service were good. I won’t be returning.

    Fourth stay

    This Accommodation is perfect for relaxing with your dog. This was our fourth stay with our dog, who just turned one. The kaiseki dinner was incredibly delicious—such a happy time. Until February, breakfast was served buffet-style (you would go and pick up items like rice and miso soup), but this time everything was brought to the table, likely to avoid crowding. We were able to enjoy breakfast at a very relaxed pace without any rush. One thing we noticed is that there is still an odor around the front desk area. It would feel more comfortable with better ventilation and additional air purifiers. We also have a Reservation for Obon holidays. We’re looking forward to it. Thank you very much.

    A Comfortable Hotel

    This was my first stay traveling with my dog. From the Facilities to the staff service, it was a very comfortable Hotel. Many guests were also traveling with dogs, so everyone was understanding, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay! I’d love to stay at another Wanwan Paradise Hotel in a different location.

    Second Stay

    I stayed here before and had a very comfortable experience, so I decided to return. The building and the dog run were kept clean, which made me feel at ease. However, as I noticed last time as well, the breakfast service is quite poor. Since guests have to go and serve themselves rice and miso soup buffet-style, that part takes a long time and feels very inconvenient. It’s otherwise a great Hotel, so I hope this will be improved soon.

    Third stay

    This is my third stay. The Room is the usual Japanese-modern twin, and dinner is a special kaiseki meal in a private room. I haven’t stayed anywhere else, but even though pets are allowed, the cleaning is thorough and everything feels very clean. If I had to make one request, I’d like bread to be available at breakfast. I’ve already made a Reservation for Golden Week as well. I look forward to staying with you again.

    I thought I had book...

    I thought I had booked dinner, but on the day I realized it was breakfast only and panicked. The Hotel staff responded immediately and arranged it for me.\nI have visited various Wanpara locations, but Hamamatsu is the most relaxing, and everyone is very kind. This will be my fifth visit during Golden Week, and I would like to stay again.

    Everything was "just right" at the Hotel.

    For those traveling with dogs, this Hotel is highly recommended as everything feels just right. The large public bath was clean, spacious, and comfortable. If I had to mention one thing, during our stay, the water could have been a bit hotter for our preference. My wife, our beloved dog, and I had a wonderful time together.

    The Room is spacious and comfortable.

    It was a relaxing accommodation for both us and our dog. The spacious tatami room was perfect for our tiny dog, as there was no stress of not being able to climb onto chairs, sofas, or beds on their own. The room where the futon is laid out provided a sense of security as it allowed visibility even in an unfamiliar place. The staff were kind, and the facility was impeccable. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that there’s nothing much around the area; however, with a short drive, we found a dog-friendly café with a dog run, making it ideal for both work and leisure purposes.

    Aging deterioration

    Is it a repurposed Business Hotel? The staff is friendly, but the overall atmosphere feels outdated. Signs of aging can be seen throughout.

    The bath is excellent.

    I visited this Onsen Hotel several times before it was renamed to Wanwan Paradise. The Onsen remains unchanged, offering great water quality and temperature. The rooms are the same as before but are kept clean and well-maintained. Since the change, dogs are now allowed, which is a nice addition. However, some options like in-room dining and the delicious soft-shelled turtle course (which I used to enjoy repeatedly) seem to no longer be available. The quality of the meals remains excellent; the sashimi and grilled unagi were especially delicious. Both humans and dogs can enjoy their time here—I'm looking forward to visiting again with my dog! There are play areas for dogs both indoors and outdoors, which is very convenient. (While playing in the indoor area, I noticed a large dog using areas without pet sheets as a toilet multiple times—it might be helpful if this could be addressed during check-in.)

    Thank you for allowing us to stay at your accommodation with our Shiba Inu for the first time. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, making our stay very comfortable. The three dog runs were wonderful, and our dog had a great time. We were delighted to receive a favorite shot from the photo service. The surrounding environment was excellent, and we stopped by PalPal with our dog on the way back!

    The view at Hamanako Wanwan Paradise is spectacular.

    I had been looking forward to visiting Wanwan Paradise at Kanzanji Onsen since I heard about it. Staying in a room on the 6th floor, I was able to enjoy a stunning view of Lake Hamana. The meals were delicious, and I had a relaxing time at the large public bath. Although it was slightly disappointing that there was no sauna, my stay at the hotel was very satisfying. Despite concerns about the weather, the strong winds subsided, and I had a wonderful trip riding the Kanzanji Ropeway with my dog. Thank you very much!

    Prime Location

    We were hesitant to travel as our dogs have become seniors, but we remembered our previous experience at another Wanpara location, where everything was dog-first and comfortable. So, we decided to take the plunge and travel again, trusting Wanpara. The result was absolutely perfect. We were provided with a very spacious Room, and the view from the Room was stunning. Everyone was able to relax and enjoy their time comfortably. The meals were delicious as well. It was our first time visiting Lake Hamana, and it was such a wonderful place. We would love to stay again. Thank you so much!

    The food was delicious.

    This was my first time using Wanwan Paradise. It’s often difficult to find accommodations when traveling with a dog, but this Hotel is very dog-friendly, which gave me peace of mind. The meals, including sashimi, eel, and meat, were all delicious, with the sashimi being particularly outstanding. Thank you very much. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

    It was my first time using it, and I was very satisfied.

    This was our first trip with our beloved dog, and although we were initially anxious, the dog-first facility here and their flexible services allowed us to have a comfortable stay. Here are the specific highlights: - Well-equipped for dogs with amenities such as poop bins, foot-washing stations, paw towels, three types of dog runs, and non-slip flooring. - Onsen and dining facilities that ensure humans can also enjoy their stay. - Flexible services like private rooms and dog-friendly tableware. - Plenty of nearby facilities where you can enjoy activities with your dog (fruit picking, amusement parks, walking spots, etc.).

    Stayed for 2 nights ...

    Stayed for 2 nights with our Chihuahua. Everything is dog-first! Pet sheets, etiquette bags, and dedicated trash bins are placed everywhere. Since it was too hot, we arrived without a plan. The Hotel staff kindly guided us to a sightseeing boat on the second day where dogs on leashes are allowed. The 30-minute ride was refreshing and enjoyable with the breeze. Afterward, we drove along the lake towards Bentenjima for about an hour. Dinner was kaiseki cuisine; it might feel a bit light for younger guests or those who don't drink alcohol. Breakfast was plentiful—eating more in the morning and less at night might actually be healthier! The bath was always surprisingly empty, with just the right temperature to enjoy a long soak. During this season, fireworks were launched from Kanzanji at 8 PM, which we could luckily view from the open-air bath. The Room was spotless and odor-free—it made us wonder if pets were really allowed here! It seemed like all guests took great care of their pets and had well-trained dogs; ours barked a little though... It was three days of relaxing and experiencing something out of the ordinary. Although it's a bit far from Tokyo, I definitely want to visit again!

    This was our first t...

    This was our first time staying with our dog. We were amazed by the excellence of the kaiseki dinner. It was incredibly delicious, and we enjoyed every dish! The room was clean, and the large public bath being an onsen was very relaxing. Thank you to all the staff for your warm smiles. We have made a reservation for next month as well. Looking forward to it!

    Your dog will be delighted too!

    The reservation was for a compact room, but since it was a weekday stay, we were upgraded to a 12.5 tatami mat Japanese-style room as a complimentary service. The room was spacious with a great view, and we were very satisfied. The meals were worth the price and quite good. We ordered "Wan-burg" for our dog, and it seemed satisfying as they finished it quickly!

    Everyone's Retreat

    We stayed here on our annual trip to visit Ise Shrine and Fushimi Inari Taisha. It was also our beloved dog's birthday, and he seemed very happy enjoying a special meal. In the evening, he ran freely in the dog park while we watched the sunset. After spending time in the car, he was thrilled to stretch his legs. Thank you very much!

    The staff's service was excellent.

    I have previously stayed at Wanwan Paradise in Izu Kogen and Takayama, but this was my first time staying at Lake Hamana. The reception staff were very friendly, making my stay pleasant. The staff who took photos of my dog were also kind and accommodating, which made me very satisfied. The facility was well-maintained and clean, and I would love to stay here again.

    Japanese Modern Twin Upper Floor with Two Meals Included Accommodation

    The accommodation is in a great location with many tourist spots nearby. The sightseeing boat is within walking distance, and the buggy rental provided by the accommodation was very helpful. One of the most touching services was the warm towel for wiping paws at the entrance—this level of service has not been seen in other accommodations we’ve stayed at with our dog. Our dog dislikes having his paws washed with cold water, so this thoughtful gesture was truly appreciated. The room was spacious and clean. However, the futon provided in the room was very thin, so we requested an additional one. Unfortunately, they gave us a smaller child-sized futon that didn’t fit properly—men would find their bodies sticking out of it, so only women could use it. The disappointing part of our stay was the food. Since Lake Hamana is famous for eel, we ordered it as a single dish; however, what arrived was half of a half portion (a quarter) that seemed to have been reheated either by microwave or hot water bath. At 3,300 yen per serving, it felt overpriced for its quality and taste—it wasn’t satisfying at all. We’ve stayed at other accommodations within this chain before but found this facility’s meals to be underwhelming. As with other locations in this chain, drink prices were on the higher side here too—a glass of beer costs 1,100 yen. If only the food had been better! The service is excellent and rooms are clean; otherwise, I would consider returning to this hotel again.

    Highly recommended.

    This is a wonderful accommodation for dog lovers. You can bring your dog to meals, allowing you to enjoy your food without leaving them in the room. The staff are kind, the food was delicious, and the bath was excellent. There is a photo studio offering photography services. One free print is included. A professional photographer takes the photos efficiently and beautifully. You can also request a photo session at the park the next morning. We purchased additional photos from among many taken during our session.

    The building is somewhat old, and the futons are firm, giving it a retreat-like atmosphere. However, everything is well-cleaned, and the effort put into maintaining the place is evident, making for a pleasant stay. Most of the dogs staying were well-behaved and accustomed to traveling, which added to the comfort. Thank you very much!

    Enjoy a Fun Trip with Your Dog

    The appeal is that you can stay with your beloved dog. The dog run was clean, and there were plenty of amenities for dogs. The room was also clean, and although I reserved a compact room, it seemed like I got an upgraded room? That remains a mystery, but both the view and the room were great. The food was luxurious. It came out slowly? The dessert also took some time to arrive, but since I was already full, I returned to my room without waiting for it. Later on, they kindly brought the dessert to my room. I thought the service was very attentive. Thank you very much!

    Wonderful

    Even at a pet-friendly Hotel, the quality was so high and I was very satisfied! The only disappointing thing is that it would have been better if there was a bed for pets. The meals were very delicious. The bath was also excellent.
