    Summer Memories

    I stayed one night with my dog (dinner and breakfast included). The Room faced the beach, and the view was amazing. I took walks around the Hotel in the evening and in the morning. Meals were served in a separate building, and I enjoyed them together with my dog in my Room. The simmered blackthroat seaperch, crab meat, grilled beef, and everything else was delicious. I was completely full. The Onsen was spacious, and the bathing areas alternated daily between men and women. It was a very satisfying trip. Next time, I’ll book a Multiple Night Stay.

    Everything was perfect.

    All staff provided excellent service, and both the Room and Facility were clean. The bath was also great. It rained heavily during the rainy season, but at night the waves along the coast were illuminated and beautiful. If I have another chance, I’d like to stay again on a day with nice weather.

    The Onsen was wonderful.

    I chose this Accommodation for my solo trip after hearing that Kaike Onsen is known for “beautiful skin.” My main purpose was a pilgrimage to locations from the NHK morning drama “Bakebake” (around Matsue City), but I’m glad I extended my trip and stayed here. It was a single Room, but the bed was a spacious double. Since it faced the sea, I could fully enjoy the powerful view of the Sea of Japan. As I booked a one-night stay with breakfast Plan, I can’t comment on dinner, but breakfast offered a good-value and tasty buffet selection. If only the quality of the rice could be improved a little... Overall, the price for this single Room (one night with breakfast) felt like great value. Thank you very much. I’d love to come again if I have the chance.

    Affordable accommodation available, but...

    Every year, I visit Yonago to enjoy crab. Usually, I reserve a hotel near the station, but this time I stayed at Kaike Onsen near the city center. The onsen itself was nice with a well-equipped sauna. However, as it is a hotel focused on day-use onsen visitors, it felt too public and didn’t make me want to use it twice. I arrived around 2:30 PM and had to wait as there was no flexibility with the check-in time, though they guided me 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. The main issue was when I requested a taxi to go to the city center; they couldn’t arrange one at all. Although there was a shuttle service available, I couldn’t use it and ended up taking a bus instead... The hotel itself is clean and not bad overall, but considering the service quality among other factors, this is my evaluation. The area in general offers reasonably priced accommodations for an onsen experience; however, if your main purpose is enjoying crab dishes, staying at a hotel near the station might be better.

    Worth the price...

    The price was low, so it’s fair to say you get what you pay for, but I’ll share my thoughts for others. If you're staying in Kaike instead of a business hotel in Yonago City, the Onsen is the most important factor—but honestly, the Onsen here was terrible. It was overcrowded with walk-in guests from outside, making it impossible to relax. Since I stayed for a multiple night stay, I tried going after 11 PM on the second day when there were no walk-in guests, but the water was cloudy... It didn’t seem well-circulated and raised concerns about hygiene. As for meals—let's just say I'm glad I chose no meals included. The low price attracted many families with children; it was noisy and chaotic. The parking lot was full too, leaving even accommodation guests unable to park their cars. Truly a case of "you get what you pay for." This accommodation is not suitable for older adults who can afford better options.

    Recommended for guests traveling with dogs. There is an automatic door for dogs at the entrance, and towels are provided for wiping paws. There is also a trash bin for disposing of waste after walks. The Hotel is designed with dog-friendly sections, so even if your dog barks a little, it’s reassuring to know the neighboring guests likely have dogs too. The bath was wonderful—both the water and the view were excellent. If I had one request, I’d love it to open from 5:00 a.m., because I wanted to bathe while watching the sunrise in the morning. Dinner was allowed in the same Room, so we brought our dog along. For breakfast, we were told the terrace would be fine, but it was hot so we left our dog in the Room. Luxuriously, you can even enjoy crab in the morning. I imagine it gets crowded during beach season. Since it was just my son and our dog (two people and one dog), the Room felt a bit small, but it was clean overall so it balanced out. I’d like to visit Kaike Onsen again—such great water that leaves your skin smooth.

    Functional and excellent.

    Overall, various thoughtful touches were appreciated. However, since the bath is shared with the day-use Onsen facility, it’s a bit disappointing that guests cannot fully relax.

    Affordable and Comfortable

    The Room was spacious, the bed was large, everything necessary was well-prepared, and it was clean. The bath was comfortable to use. Since there is a sauna, I thought a water cooler in the changing room would be necessary. Breakfast included boiled crab, which allowed me to enjoy the feeling of being in San'in even out of season, and I was delighted.

    It was a relaxing experience.

    This was our third visit. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the pine forest and seaside with our two dogs, despite the cloudy and rainy weather that kept us from seeing the blue ocean. Dinner at Kaichouen was delightful, leaving us completely satisfied. Thank you very much!

    I stayed with a frie...

    I stayed with a friend. I read reviews mentioning the onsen being crowded, and while it wasn’t empty, it didn’t bother us much. There was a lively group of elderly guests enjoying themselves. The room was clean, and we could relax while enjoying the ocean view. For dinner, we were taken to another location by shuttle service. The food was delicious, but the private room was completely silent without any background music. It felt calm but maybe a bit too quiet! The breakfast buffet was also very tasty.

    Good.

    The weather was not great, but I was satisfied. Although the hotel staff mentioned there were no takeout options for restaurants, there actually were. Having it within the hotel is convenient, so I would like to use it again during my next stay. The bath on the first floor is more spacious. Overall, I was very satisfied. Next time, I would like to reserve a place with an ocean view where I can stay with my pet. Thank you very much!

    It was as comfortable as last year.

    I used it again following last year. The Room and the large public bath were clean and I was satisfied. I also ate a full breakfast buffet. Very satisfied. I will definitely use it again next year.

    The Onsen is amazing.
