  A Heartwarming Accommodation

  The Accommodation owner, his wife, and all the staff were very kind. About 15 years ago, I came to Okura Village for work on a day trip and was told there was a great Onsen, so I had hoped to visit Hijiori Onsen someday—and I finally made it. Walking around town in Hijiori Onsen, I felt glad I chose this Ryokan. We drove there but got lost in the Onsen town; they kindly helped us, and when we left, the two of them saw us off until our car was out of sight. The Accommodation is old, but the inside has been beautifully renovated. The Onsen was flawless. Since it was a weekday, we could enjoy the bath at a relaxed pace. For dinner, we ordered Yamagata beef teppanyaki and it was absolutely delicious. There were also many dishes featuring mountain vegetables, and I was surprised by how generous the portion of imoni soup was. We were able to relax deeply and felt truly at peace. Thank you very much.
