    旅のいちたろう

    The rice is delicious.

    As you’d expect from Niigata, famous for its rice, the rice was exceptionally delicious. I ended up having three extra servings at breakfast. However, despite the number of staff, it felt like they were so focused on serving and clearing dishes that they weren’t very attentive to guests who were eating. Also, this may be unavoidable, but the view was disappointing.

    Enjoy a free-flowing Onsen fed directly from the natural source.

    Thank you for the delicious meals, the well-maintained facilities, and the true free-flowing Onsen from the source, which allowed us to relax both body and mind at a leisurely pace. We would love to stay again in a different season.

    As mentioned in the title, we were able to relax without meeting many people. The Onsen was also great.

    It exceeded my expec...

    It exceeded my expectations. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. Many of the staff seemed to be from overseas, but everyone was polite and their dedication really came through. The food was also delicious. I also appreciated being able to enjoy complimentary coffee. I’m already planning to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

    This was our second ...

    This was our second three-night Multiple Night Stay, following last summer. Once again, we were very satisfied and truly enjoyed a relaxing hot-spring retreat. The staff at the Accommodation and in the dining area also remembered us, which made our time even more enjoyable. The only disappointment was that during meals, additional hot dishes and grilled fish were served fairly quickly, so we couldn’t take our time savoring each dish. Every dish is carefully prepared, so I hope they can be served at a pace that allows guests enough time to fully enjoy them in the future.

    Relaxing and peaceful moments

    The room and the large public bath were beautifully renovated, making for a comfortable stay. The staff provided polite service both during guidance and meals, without being overly attentive, allowing for a quiet and pleasant experience overall. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious and satisfying. The rice was exceptionally tasty! The free Shuttle Service from Urasa Station was very convenient; however, it was slightly disappointing that there was only one return Shuttle Service available.

    Relaxing Journey

    This accommodation requires guests to remove their shoes at the entrance, and the staff even carefully wiped down the suitcase wheels, providing a pleasant experience from the start. Wheelchairs are available within the facility, and we were able to move my elderly grandmother smoothly as everything was barrier-free. While some rooms may be located beyond stairs, our room allowed direct wheelchair access without requiring my grandmother to get off. The changing area also featured a gentle slope instead of steps, showcasing a truly barrier-free design. The TV was equipped with an adjustable arm that could be pulled out and tilted freely, making it convenient to watch from either the bed or while relaxing on the sofa. There were about two Japanese staff members and several international staff members; all provided warm and courteous service. With plenty of staff available, they quickly noticed any needs or concerns and addressed them promptly, allowing us to enjoy a worry-free stay.

    Tranquility and Cleanliness

    The accommodation is impeccably clean throughout, and without slippers, walking barefoot or with tabi socks is extremely comfortable. Of course, the room and windows were also spotless. Additionally, having two room keys available allowed couples to enjoy baths at their preferred times without stress. While coffee is not served with breakfast, drip coffee can be enjoyed in the lobby—a relaxing moment while reading the newspaper. One suggestion for improvement: The in-room guide does not include the Wi-Fi ID and password. Even after calling the front desk, they were unable to provide it immediately; a staff member had to bring a board with the information to our room. This could be improved for convenience. Overall, it’s a clean, quiet, and excellent accommodation.

    It was a Ryokan I would love to visit again and again.

    Each dish was meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious, making every meal enjoyable. The Uonuma Koshihikari rice was, of course, exceptional. Many of the staff members were from overseas, but they all worked very hard and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bath area featured seven different types of tubs, and even during my three-night stay, I never got bored. However, one minor issue was the difficulty in opening and closing the sauna door at Kawano-yu. I hope this can be fixed promptly. Regardless, I look forward to visiting many more times in the future!

    Barefoot throughout the facility (Tabi socks provided)

    This was the first accommodation where being barefoot inside the hotel was allowed. The room was clean, and the onsen was very relaxing. The meals were also delicious. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for your hospitality. It has been approximately 35 years since the current building replaced the previous wooden structure. As my parents are from Niigata, we have visited for memorial services and other occasions, and I feel that the guest rooms continue to evolve daily. The meal portions were just right for an elderly couple, and we enjoyed them very much. We are pleased with the meals, Room, and bath facilities, as well as the excellent service provided by your staff.

    It was great.

    The bath was excellent—spacious and unique. However, given the price, small flaws stood out. The shower curtain in the Room had mold, and while the bath was great, an extra set of towels would have been appreciated but came at an additional cost. The coffee in the lounge was mediocre (perhaps because guests have refined tastes). For 120,000 yen for four people, we expected more attention to detail without any shortcomings.

    There may not be any...

    There may not be any notable tourist spots around, especially during this winter season. However, we were able to thoroughly enjoy the highly-rated Property at a leisurely pace, including the Onsen and meals. I would like to stay again when the opportunity arises.

    It was a good Stays.

    I stayed with a friend for the first time in several years after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although it had been a while since my last visit, I was satisfied with both the meals and the bath. Thank you to all the staff.

    I am a repeat guest.

    10 years ago, I stayed with my late mother and my daughter's family of four, and I couldn't forget the calm atmosphere. So, I visited with my husband while visiting the grave. The room was beautifully renovated, and the bath and hallway conveyed a sense of meticulous care, making it a wonderful Ryokan. The meals were a fulfilling experience with the beauty of the dishes, taste, and presentation. My daughter also said she wants to visit again, making it a Ryokan where the whole family was healed. There is a nostalgic irori (traditional Japanese hearth) in front of the front desk, which I recommend.
