    The hot water is great!!

    Although it wasn’t a Milky Day, the hot spring water was pleasantly cloudy, making for a wonderful bath. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The steak at dinner was especially high quality and excellent value for money. The vegetables were also very fresh—I ended up eating more than I intended. Thank you very much.

    A cozy Hotel where we fully enjoyed the Onsen.

    We stayed as a family of five adults. For the welcome drink, we could choose one chilled bottled drink or canned alcoholic beverage, and we also received some snacks. We enjoyed them after the bath. There were four beds, and we laid out futons ourselves on a 6-tatami mat area. There was a six-seat table in the center, and the toilet and bath were separate. A hair dryer was also provided. There was an Onsen basket, which was convenient for carrying towels and other items. Shampoo, conditioner, cleansing oil, toner, and emulsion were provided—all POLA products. For dinner, we added a 100 g Fukushima beef steak this time, but it felt overly fatty; even our son in his 20s barely managed to finish it. Some of the tempura was piping hot while some had cooled down—it was obvious it had been made in advance. The rest of the menu was buffet-style and fairly average. We were satisfied with breakfast, but for children it would be nice to have one more juice option besides orange juice. The staff service was very polite and pleasant. The building feels old. There is nothing around nearby, so it’s good if you want to simply relax in your Room. It was before Obon season, but at about JPY 26,000 per person for what we got this time felt a bit expensive. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

    Detoxifying Ceramic Plate Sauna

    This was our second stay. When we asked to use the “toban-yoku” heated stone bath, we received an explanation and were able to enjoy it. We spent about 40 minutes as a couple, placing our abdomen on the warm stone or soaking our backs while staying hydrated. We worked up a great sweat from head to toe—it felt wonderful. We were also satisfied with the half-buffet dinner afterward.

    Adatara Sky Garden

    Couples in our mid-70s tend to prefer familiar Accommodations. This time, with guidance from IKYU, we visited “Sora no Resort” for the first time. We checked in feeling refreshed and immediately enjoyed freshly brewed self-serve coffee. Our Room was on the top floor (4th floor), and the view truly felt like a “garden in the sky.” Dinner was a half-buffet. Soon after we were seated, appetizers, chilled sashimi, and freshly fried tempura were served—each dish seemed to say “welcome.” Salads, side dishes, rice, and miso soup were buffet-style with free refills. The watermelon was especially sweet, and the soft-serve ice cream was smooth and soothing. The Onsen included both an indoor public bath and an open-air bath. The acidic spring water felt great for our skin, and soaking helped relieve our driving fatigue. Breakfast was a buffet as well; I had rice porridge. For me, “dried whitebait with grated daikon” is essential at breakfast, so it was my only disappointment that I couldn’t find it. Because of the rainy-season front and two approaching typhoons, we couldn’t go for walks or sightseeing. I now wish we had asked about the best season—flowers or autumn leaves…

    Room for Solo Travelers

    The built-in bed creaked every time I moved. Outside the window, the view was a cemetery. But it was cheap... There wasn’t even a hand towel at the sink. It was a great bargain, and after three nights I got used to it. It’s small, but once you settle in, it’s not uncomfortable. The area around the property was wonderful, with cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino) in full bloom.

    Milky-white, strongly acidic hot spring water

    We stayed in a Room with a semi-open-air bath during Golden Week. The balcony with the bath has a large single-pane glass window with a sweeping view, including Mt. Bandai in the distance; the fresh greenery was soothing, and we even saw an eagle circling in the sky. The slightly milky water in the semi-open-air bath felt wonderfully smooth on the skin, and we enjoyed it many times. Please note that parts of the balcony can be visible from other Rooms. In the large public bath, there was indeed plenty of white mineral sediment at the bottom, but unfortunately we also noticed quite a bit of debris. Meals were like a Business Hotel buffet with many homemade items; we especially enjoyed the seasonal wild mountain vegetable dishes.

    I was very satisfied!

    All the staff were smiling and attentive, which made our stay very comfortable. The meals were carefully prepared and delicious. The baths are, of course, fed directly from the hot spring source, and they really helped us unwind.

    A bit disappointing.

    Because the water in the Room was provided in a small container, we ran out. When I went to ask for more water at night, a male staff member told me they use the water from the sink inside the restroom and said I should fill it there, so I was not given any drinking water. These days, using restroom sink water instead of a proper water dispenser is unacceptable. Even though this place is known as a stylish “empty garden,” I was very disappointed. The bath and changing area did not feel clean. There was a lot of hair on the floor, and it had a slightly sour smell and felt dark overall. The female staff were very kind. The breakfast was also delicious. If you ask whether I would stay again, I would not.

    It was great.

    The facility showed some signs of aging, but there was nothing particularly concerning. Meals were partially buffet-style, and both dinner and breakfast offered satisfying menus. It was nice to have soft-serve ice cream available even at breakfast. The room with an open-air bath did not use Onsen water, so it would be great if this could be changed to Onsen in the future.

    Everything was excellent.

    After much deliberation, I chose this Hotel, and the Room, meals, Onsen, service, and price all exceeded my expectations. It was my first trip to Tohoku from Kyoto, and it was truly wonderful! Thank you very much!

    Indeed, the Facility is old, but...

    The name sounds very impressive, but the exterior might feel a bit underwhelming upon arrival. The elevator and air conditioning are older facilities, but they are well-maintained and function properly. The meals may not be as extravagant as a large hotel's buffet, but they were very delicious. The facility was clean throughout, and the staff provided polite and pleasant service. Highly recommended!

    Overall, it is a good accommodation.

    Stayed for two nights. While the Facility shows signs of aging, it is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable to use. The highlight was the staff's hospitality. Unlike some accommodations where service quality varies among staff members, every staff member here provided pleasant and courteous service, making the stay enjoyable. Perhaps because it was a weekday stay, the Onsen was not crowded and could be used at a leisurely pace. The only disappointment was the meal content. Although I understood it would be a half-buffet style, the buffet offerings were exactly the same for both mornings and evenings over two days. Is it not possible to make changes within this price range? Since this Reservation happened to coincide with an IKYU sale period, I found it acceptable in terms of cost; however, if staying at regular Accommodation Fees, I might have felt dissatisfied. That said, accommodations that offer reasonably priced Rooms for solo travelers are very valuable. Overall, I think this is a good Accommodation!

    I had a relaxing time.

    A quiet accommodation with excellent Onsen. Meals were served as a half-buffet, all delicious with just the right variety. The pickled vegetables were so tasty that I ended up purchasing some. For those looking to enjoy a peaceful meal and relax in the Onsen as a couple, this is an ideal accommodation.

    Watching Soccer

    We stayed as a couple for an impromptu overnight stay before watching a soccer match. There was only one Room available, so we couldn't choose, but it was very spacious with a semi-open-air bath. The Onsen was a slightly cloudy but pleasant large bath and open-air bath where we could relax. Dinner was a herb buffet, which was nice after a long time. The staff were all very pleasant. It's far away, so we can't come often, but if we have the chance, we would like to stay at the Property again.

    It is a good Stays.

    It is an old hotel, but it was clean and comfortable in its own way. The onsen is very satisfying. The meals were delicious, and I ended up eating a little too much. The only disappointment was that in the room I stayed in, I could hear the sounds from the neighboring room and the hallway, which was a bit concerning. Still, it was a nice property that I would like to stay at again.
