    The Room and the Onsen were very nice.

    We stayed here for our family summer trip. It was our first time visiting Kochi Prefecture, and it was difficult to find an Accommodation we liked. We were excited to finally find one that fit our budget. First, the Accommodation is deep in the mountains, and you have to drive on narrow roads to get there, which made us a little uneasy. However, the atmosphere of the Accommodation was wonderful, and the moment we arrived we felt it was a good place. We stayed in a detached Room, and being able to park right near the entrance immediately made it feel special. The Room was clean and lovely, and nicely cooled. Check-in can also be done in the Room. That said, there were a few disappointing points. The bath in the Room can be opened up like a semi-open-air bath, but although there is a wall directly in front of you so you can’t really see out, it faces the parking area. We could hear other guests talking as well as staff conversations, which reduced that “escape from everyday life” feeling. The meals also fell far short of our expectations. While the Room felt very special, the food felt average. Compared with other Accommodations in the same price range we’ve stayed at before, it wasn’t satisfying. Some dishes seemed like something you might have at home. On the other hand, if you prefer simple food that’s easy to eat without feeling formal or tense, this may suit you. Also, my impression was that some staff members might have been part-time workers. The explanations of dishes were vague and improvised—something like “Maybe this is sea bream sashimi? (laugh).” The matcha salt served with tempura was taken away along with other plates shortly after it was brought out. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Onsen and Facility at this Accommodation. However, I don’t feel that either staff hospitality or meals matched that level of quality. It made me wonder if many Accommodations in Kochi are like this.

    An Extraordinary Escape

    The Serenity of a Hidden Retreat

    It was a wonderful place. The hot spring water was amazing and made my skin smooth. I chose the shabu-shabu hot pot with Kuroge Wagyu beef, and the quality of the meat was excellent. The staff were friendly, making it a pleasant stay. Thank you very much!

    Dinner Service

    We stayed on 9/6 as a couple. The Onsen was great, and the Room was lovely. However, there was one concern I would like to share for future improvement. During dinner, a young woman served us. While we were still eating other dishes, she cleared away the hot pot and discarded the leftover dipping sauce into the pot right in front of us at the table. Wouldn't it be better to do this outside? It left us feeling slightly uncomfortable.

    Relax and unwind.

    Stayed in a detached Room surrounded by greenery, relaxing on the balcony! The soothing sound of a small stream was very healing! All amenities in the Room and slippers for the balcony were prepared for three people, showing thoughtful care. Despite the heat outside, the air conditioning throughout the Room made it very comfortable! The detached area also had a stylish dining space and large public bath... The variety of meals was also highly satisfying!

    First Trip to Kochi

    The service was excellent, and the meals were delicious, making it a very good accommodation. However, it was a bit disappointing that the public bath was open to general visitors, making it difficult to relax fully, and its hours were only until 9 PM. It would be great if there were exclusive hours for guests from around 9 PM to 11 PM. Nevertheless, the room's bath being an onsen allowed me to relax and enjoy my time.

    A nostalgic accommodation surrounded by abundant nature

    I felt my body naturally relax. The hot spring was excellent, and I visited it multiple times. Both breakfast and dinner were comforting and incredibly delicious.

    The Room, the qualit...

    The Room, the quality of the Onsen water, and the meals were all excellent. The staff's attentiveness was wonderful, making the stay very comfortable. The only issue was that the private bath in the detached area required filling the tub with water, and it couldn't be filled in one go, so it was a bit of a hassle to fill it twice. However, the water was amazing, leaving my skin smooth and soft. The "Beppin no Yu" and the open-air bath were also fantastic. I would love to visit again.
