Showa-era Ryokan
Although they have made efforts by adding a new sauna and open-air bath, it did not feel like a long-established inn. While it was nice to be able to see Lake Biwa and Hikone Castle from the Room, trucks started driving along the prefectural road in front of the Room early in the morning, so it was not an environment where you could relax on the balcony and enjoy a peaceful lakeside morning. The food was decent and satisfactory, and we were able to enjoy it at our leisure in the Room.

A Quiet Dining Accommodation
We stayed for two nights as a couple. Dinner was served in the Room. The meals, including Omi beef, fish and vegetables from Shiga, and local sake, were all delicious. It is conveniently located near historical sites such as Hikone Castle, Omihachiman, Nagahama City, and Chikubu Island, making sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

Hikone Castle Journey
The hospitality was so relaxing that it eased my tired body!! It was my first time visiting Shiga Prefecture, and I was extremely satisfied with staying at this accommodation.

Baby-friendly accommodations
We stayed at the accommodation with our 6-month-old baby. They provided a baby bath and baby body soap, and there was a futon laid out for the baby to lie on, making it a comfortable stay even for our first trip with a child. The staff at the accommodation were very kind and friendly, creating a wonderful atmosphere. However, we refrained from using the private open-air bath in the room as there were many frogs and insects present.

It was excellent.
It was excellent from start to finish. The room was so spacious that it felt too big for two people. There were many heaters installed, and even though we visited during a severe cold wave, we didn't feel the cold at all! There was also an air conditioner at the sink, so we didn't catch a chill after bathing. The room was very clean, and although small, we could see Hikone Castle from the window! The open-air bath in the room was also fantastic. Both dinner and breakfast featured seasonal items and specialties unique to Shiga, making for a very satisfying meal. Having meals in the room allowed us to dine without any reservations. The staff's service throughout our stay was wonderful, and I am full of gratitude. As for the shuttle service, initially we requested to be taken only as far as Hikone Station (Hikone Eki), but suddenly wanted to visit a morning café during breakfast. When I consulted with them about dropping us off on the way there instead, they gladly agreed. Moreover, considering that carrying our suitcase would be inconvenient due to heavy snow, they kindly allowed us to leave it in a locker at Hikone Station (Hikone Eki) before taking us back to the café—a truly luxurious experience they provided us with. Their thoughtfulness made our trip comfortable and left us with only good memories. Thank you very much!

The shower in the bathhouse is weak, so it is necessary to use it during times when others are not using it.
