    Thank you for picking me up.

    I was able to board the train on time while it was stopped en route to Tokyo Station, and I arrived at Kochi Station on schedule. Thank you for picking me up at Kochi Station. I was able to relax in the large public bath. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Thank you as well for taking me to Kochi Station in the rain in the morning.

    We thoroughly enjoyed sightseeing in Kochi.

    I stayed here for a two-person trip with a friend. Thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff, I truly felt the welcoming spirit that Kochi is known for. The intonation of the Tosa dialect was especially delightful for someone visiting from outside the prefecture, and I hope you will continue to cherish your local speech without trying to “correct” it. While the building and air-conditioning facilities show their age, everything is well maintained, and both our Room and the interior were kept clean, making it very comfortable to rest. When I noticed that the elevator mat had the day of the week written on it, it was a small surprise—it made me realize it must be changed daily. I also appreciated being able to enjoy local specialties at breakfast buffet, and the freshly made rice balls prepared on request were delicious. The selection that lets guests experience regional specialties through taste was wonderful. Coming back drenched in sweat, the large public bath felt especially refreshing. Soaking in such a spacious bath helped melt away my fatigue, and I slept soundly that night. The souvenir corner was well stocked too, and it was fun choosing items. It may be routine for your front desk staff, but I really appreciated them reminding me when I almost forgot to get my Ryoma Passport stamp. It was also reassuring to see how well information had been handed over from the previous day’s shift. Thank you for taking care of us for two nights and three days. This is an Accommodation I would like to choose again when visiting Kochi next time.

    It was an incredibly enjoyable stay, and this Hotel became an unforgettable place for us.

    The check-in process was easy to understand, and the warm, welcoming service left a great impression. The building is old and full of history, and while there were a few minor inconveniences, it had wonderful charm—an Hotel I really grew to love. The location was excellent, and I enjoyed a morning walk. The valet parking was also very helpful. I had breakfast as well; they’ve adopted some modern-style systems like newer hotels, the food itself was delicious, and it made me genuinely happy to see even the older staff working energetically. Also, I was thrilled to find that the washbasin in the first-floor restroom was made of Arita ware. It felt like an Hotel that brings together the best parts of Japanese Accommodation—truly wonderful.

    Seared Bonito

    We stayed for one night from December 31st, and while we appreciated the kind hospitality of the staff, there were a couple of disappointments. The bathwater was too lukewarm, making it hard to leave the tub comfortably. Additionally, we were looking forward to enjoying the seared bonito at dinner but found the portion size to be quite small.

    Kochi Trip

    This time, we stayed as a family of six with a one-night, two-meal Plan. The Ryokan's hospitality was very courteous, and we had a pleasant stay with the Room guidance and meal service. The dinner kaiseki cuisine had a wide variety and was very satisfying, while the breakfast rice ball corner was excellent. We would definitely like to visit again.

    Hmm

    The dinner featuring bonito and tuna was not fresh, with poor color and taste. It was disappointing to have such fish dishes in Kochi. The futon in the Room felt damp as if it had been left out for a long time, and there was mold on the wall where the clock was hung. The bathroom drain was clogged with a pile of hair, causing poor drainage. Was this due to staff shortages during the Yosakoi festival?

    I was very satisfied.

    Overall, it was great, especially the dinner service, cuisine, and the attentiveness of the Shuttle Service. The rice ball buffet was also a refreshing experience. I would love to stay again.

    Not quite.

    There are no non-smoking rooms, and despite requesting deodorization, the strong smell of tobacco was unpleasant. Additionally, the breakfast venue staff were overly directive towards guests and other employees, making it difficult to relax.

    It became a wonderful memory!

    The parking staff were very kind and helpful. The open-air bath in the Room had a deep tub, making it slightly dangerous to get in and out. It might be better to improve it by raising the floor or similar adjustments. Dinner was delicious, with generous portions that left us full. We also enjoyed choosing from a variety of sake, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The attendant's friendly demeanor made us feel very warm and relaxed. It became a wonderful family trip with great memories for celebrating my daughter's special occasion. Thank you very much!

    Investigation of allergies before the stay, with sufficient consideration given to the response. The food management supervisor is commendable at this property. The meals are delicious, with the first-time experience of delicious Utsubo cuisine. Other dishes are also lightly seasoned yet rich in flavor, excellent. The bath is clean and satisfying. The elderly woman in charge of breakfast is kind and pleasant. There are some issues with the attitude of some front desk staff and damage to the tatami, but overall, the satisfaction level with the property is 5.

    It was good.

    The food was satisfying as I had never tried "sawachi" cuisine before, and it lived up to the expectations I had heard about. There were plenty of fresh dishes, including seared bonito, which was great. The portions were abundant, almost too much to finish. The room was spacious and comfortable. The variety of rice balls at breakfast was impressive and satisfying. The sound of footsteps from above was noticeable and a bit concerning, possibly from other guests staying at the property?

    Onigiri Buffet

    The bonito tataki on the dinner menu was delicious and plentiful, thoroughly enjoyed! The morning rice ball buffet had a wide variety and I ate too much. I would love to stay here again when I visit Kochi.
