    The food is simply delicious.

    There’s no welcome drink—check-in is simple. However, the Room does have snacks and tea. I found it a bit inconvenient that there was only one key. The dining area is refined, and I really enjoyed the salt-grilled ayu cooked over the irori right in front of us. That said, there was no explanation at the start that certain alcoholic drinks were all-you-can-drink, so I would have appreciated a brief note upfront. I asked later and then ordered. Also, since your hands get messy when eating ayu, it would be nice to have an extra hand towel. Overall, the service felt minimal for the price. Still, everything was very clean, the renovations were nicely done, and the food was delicious—so I was very satisfied overall. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to stay at again.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    I came across this Accommodation while searching online for a place to stay during Golden Week, and it turned out to be wonderful. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles. The food, drinks, and water were all excellent. Since it was spring, I was happy to be able to enjoy mountain vegetables as well. The building and rooms are old, but they have been beautifully renovated with great skill and care. I was very satisfied. There is also a row of cherry trees nearby, so I would love to visit again during cherry blossom season.

    A relaxing Accommodation where you can enjoy Japanese sake

    Two women in our 60s traveled together. The exterior and interior feel a bit dated in places, but everything has been beautifully renovated, and the beds were comfortable so we could truly relax. Since we both enjoy sake, we were able to savor it with our meals. The bath water was silky and left our skin smooth, and being able to bathe 24 hours a day was another plus. However, dinner started late, and while enjoying sake we naturally took our time, which later created an atmosphere where we felt rushed to finish eating—unfortunately disappointing. If you like sake, an earlier dinner start is recommended.

    An Onsen You'll Want to Visit Again

    This was our second trip, and although the meals were different from last year, everything was absolutely perfect again. Each dish was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed every bite. The tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) at breakfast was especially delicious. Additionally, the coffee served by the hostess during checkout was incredibly tasty. A heartfelt thank you to the hostess couple, staff members, and chefs!

    It was a nice accommodation.

    Upon arrival, we were upgraded from a 10-tatami Room to a 12-tatami Room. Thank you very much. We were worried that a 10-tatami room might feel cramped for five men, so we truly appreciated the upgrade. With fewer rooms available, both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spacious and relaxing. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were diverse and delicious. However, when our group of sake lovers ordered a sake tasting set and ran out of snacks to pair with it, we wanted to order more but found that the homemade salted squid featured on your website was unavailable—this was disappointing.

    Very nice accommodation

    I was impressed by the decorative plates displayed in the accommodation and the solidity of the room doors. The heartwarming meals, relaxing onsen, and the kind way the staff spoke completely relieved my daily fatigue. Thank you very much.

    Beloved and Highly Satisfying Accommodation

    A stay that always satisfies, no matter how many times you visit. That is Takahashiya Accommodation. A warm welcome at the entrance, Kind words from the staff, Rooms with unique designs and themes, Perfectly sized baths available 24 hours a day, Complimentary massage chairs, Meals served in your room or a separate dining area, And coffee service upon departure. But above all else—it's the food. Glossy rice, Miso-marinated salmon, Fresh sashimi, Crispy fried fish, Hearty noppe (a Niigata local dish), Pork sukiyaki, And handmade desserts. The dishes are crafted with love using local ingredients rather than relying on luxury items—this homemade touch is what we adore most about their cuisine. The price is also reasonable. Even when staying at other accommodations, we find ourselves saying: "Takahashiya's meals are still the best." With gratitude for all our past stays... We look forward to visiting again for many years to come!

    A property where you can feel the good old aspects of Japan.

    I was touched when I called while lost and you came out to the road quickly despite the snow. The hospitality of everyone was very warm, and it was great that the onsen could be used 24 hours! There is no stiffness, so it lived up to its name as a nice property. Next time, I would like to visit in a different season.
