    Everything was perfect.

    We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. We chose the No Meals Included plan because we planned to enjoy street food along Dogo Onsen’s Haikara Street, and it turned out to be an outstanding stay: everything was spotless, the Onsen was excellent, the futons were very comfortable, and access to Haikara Street was great. Above all, the staff worked seamlessly as a team and responded quickly and courteously—it was truly impressive. Our whole family agreed we were lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation. This time we booked No Meals Included, but the Ryokan meals also looked delicious, so next time we’d like to stay with meals included. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It was excellent.

    Most of the staff seemed quite young, but they were doing their jobs properly, which impressed me. The meals were also excellent. Not trying to nitpick, but I was a bit concerned about the step between the alcove and the living room. If I have the chance, this is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    This year again...

    I’m glad I was able to stay at my favorite Accommodation again this year. The attention to detail in the food and the beautiful tableware are wonderful, and every time I feel relaxed and go home refreshed. I especially enjoyed the fish dishes—ones I’d heard of but never tried before. The hospitality was also thoughtful and attentive. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

    An amazing place

    All the staff were kind, and we had a very pleasant stay. We were especially touched that you served us something not on the menu, and every dish was delicious. If possible, since we visited on a hot day, it would have been nice to be offered some tea upon arrival. The only disappointment was that the bath was under maintenance during our stay.

    We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday. They prepared parking right in front of the Hotel, and even arranged a surprise with our meal, including a photo. For my elderly parents, having an in-room bath and meals served in the Room was truly appreciated. We were happy that they enjoyed it so much. The large public bath had non-slip tiles and tatami flooring, and it was clean and very pleasant. The ReFa hair dryer and shower in the Room were also great.

    Dogo Onsen

    This time, we made the effort to take a trip farther away—to Dogo Onsen. We stayed at Dogo Onsen Yachiyo. From check-in, the staff were incredibly warm and courteous, and our spirits rose like the steam from the baths (laughs). The Room was spacious and even had an open-air bath. Everything was spotless—truly beautiful. We also enjoyed dinner in our Room. Thanks to the chef’s thoughtful gesture, we were served a dish not listed on the menu, which deeply moved us. The attendant who looked after us was cheerful and fun to talk with—so warm and wonderful throughout our stay.

    It was very good.

    The Room was clean and spacious, and the meals were luxurious and delicious. All the staff were kind, so we had a very comfortable stay. I don’t usually sleep well while traveling, but the bedding was so comfortable that I slept soundly.

    Birthday Celebration

    We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The food was delicious, and in addition to the cake we ordered, we were surprised and delighted by a complimentary fruit platter with a message on the plate. They also took photos for us and gifted us one in a photo frame. We were truly amazed by these unexpected services. I’m grateful to have seen my mother carefully display it at home. Also, in most Hotels or Ryokan, you can usually hear sounds when someone is using the toilet, but in Yachiyo’s Room we couldn’t hear anything at all. I’ve never experienced that before and would give more than five stars. However, I rated the Facility four stars because the Wi-Fi signal was hard to connect to, and the buzzer sound from the provided tablet kept going off repeatedly at night, which was a bit unpleasant. Other than that, everything was perfect. I would love to stay at Yachiyo again.

    Long-established Ryokan Yachiyo

    I stay in Dogo Onsen almost every year, and this time I chose Yachiyo. I had long known it as a Ryokan with an excellent reputation for its cuisine, and a friend who lives in Matsuyama told me that after a renovation a few years ago, every Room now has an open-air bath and meals are delivered to your Room—highly recommended. I’d been wanting to stay there for some time, and at last my wish came true. The building was completely different from the traditional Ryokan atmosphere I had imagined; it was a modern reinforced-concrete building. It’s small, but the entrance and interior were very clean, and everyone—from the attendants to the front desk staff—was extremely kind. They guided my car down to the underground parking area, took my luggage there, and I could go up to the front desk by elevator. The Room was brand-new and spacious. The layout was thoughtfully designed so that meals could be brought directly from the entrance into a dining space with chairs and a table. Each dish was served one by one; the tableware and presentation were beautiful, and of course everything tasted wonderful—I felt truly happy. The open-air bath in the Room was also very large. I did visit the public bath as well, but it wasn’t crowded—perhaps because the in-room baths are so good. It’s an Accommodation that feels especially comfortable for older guests, but I think younger guests would enjoy it too. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    The service was excellent.

    Everything about the room, cuisine, and onsen exceeded our expectations. Following our previous visits, we were once again deeply moved by the thoughtful hospitality. We stayed with a baby, and having a dedicated diaper disposal bin and picture books prepared for us was incredibly helpful. During the meal, staff noticed that we had mistakenly taken the wrong seating arrangement (upper seat/lower seat) and discreetly adjusted the serving order accordingly. This level of attention to detail was truly impressive. This time it was my grandchild's birthday, and they surprised us by presenting a dessert with a birthday plate. They also took a family photo and gifted us a framed picture with a "Happy Birthday" message upon departure. The warm hospitality left our entire family deeply touched. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we would love to stay here again!

    It was a wonderful hospitality.

    We stayed with our children, including an infant. The staff kindly warmed up baby food, provided children's chairs and cutlery, and even left a heartwarming note—such wonderful hospitality. The meals were delicious, and the facility was very clean. Additionally, its close proximity to Dogo Onsen town made sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to stay here again!

    The Perfect Accommodation

    I stayed at the acco...

    I stayed at the accommodation with my mother to celebrate her 77th birthday. When I received a call to check the reservation, I mentioned the occasion, and we were kindly provided with a commemorative fruit plate and a framed photo taken during our meal. Although my mother caused some minor inconvenience, the staff handled it with great understanding and kindness. The meals were served in our room, and we could enjoy the onsen privately in our room as well, which made it very comfortable for traveling with an elderly parent. Despite initial concerns about traveling with my mother, we were able to spend our time worry-free. The meals were delicious, and all of the staff members were cheerful and welcoming. I hope to visit again next time with my husband and children!

    Stayed for 3 Multiple Night Stays, but

    From the first day of accommodation, the meals and staff service were exceptional for three consecutive days, making it truly an unforgettable experience. While it may not be a place to stay casually, I strongly feel that I would love to visit again. The dishes prepared by the head chef were all incredibly delicious, and the staff who served them were polite and excellent.

    High-quality guest rooms and hospitality, with a relaxing dinner in your Room.

    Located on a hill slightly beyond Dogo Onsen, the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. The distance to Dogo Onsen Honkan and the shopping street was just right for a pleasant stroll. Both the interior of the accommodation and the room were high-quality, offering relaxation with an open-air bath in the room and in-room dining for dinner. The large public bath is located on the lobby floor, so everyone passes by the lobby to access it. My wife appreciated this setup, saying that while she sometimes worries about security when public baths are tucked away in remote areas, this accommodation felt safe. We traveled with friends on this trip and enjoyed a delightful dinner together at our room's private dining area (with chairs). This accommodation is perfect for trips where you host guests or treat yourself to something special.

    Experience the ultimate hospitality.

    "Yachiyo" is the best Ryokan in Dogo Onsen. The meals we were looking forward to during our two-night stay were satisfying in both taste and portion, thanks to the chef's innovative menu. The facilities inside the accommodation are very clean and beautiful, as they are relatively new, and the room's open-air bath is also an Onsen—absolutely perfect. Moreover, the staff at the front desk and those in charge of guest rooms always provided attentive service, allowing us to relax with peace of mind. From the moment I called for inquiries, their response was excellent, making me confident that choosing this accommodation was a great decision. Highly recommended!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    I stayed with my children, and it was by far the most comfortable accommodation I have ever experienced. The meals were incredibly delicious, and I ended up asking for a refill of rice because it was so good. Both breakfast and dinner left me full and happy. It was lovely to see the open-air bath from the room window. I enjoyed a relaxing time while watching my child play excitedly. The staff were kind and made us feel so at home that we didn’t want to leave. I would love to stay here again!

    Excellent Service and Rooms

    It was our first time visiting Dogo Onsen, and we were unsure about which accommodation to choose, but selecting Yachiyo turned out to be the perfect decision. The staff's attentive service and thoughtfulness were exceptional, allowing us to fully enjoy Dogo Onsen during the Obon holiday. The room was clean, spacious, and provided a relaxing atmosphere for both body and mind. The location is also very convenient, being within a 5-minute walk from the center of Dogo Onsen. We had a wonderful time as a family and would love to stay here again.

    Suitable for solo travelers

    I had been curious about Yachiyo since I discovered it on YouTube, and I finally got the chance to stay. The dinner was especially delicious with a wide variety of dishes, and the sea bream rice was so much to my liking that I had seconds—truly satisfying. Breakfast was also tasty, though personally, I felt it could have included a few more local vegetable dishes. One concern during my stay was that the outdoor bath in the men's large Onsen seemed visible from certain angles of nearby apartments. Since the large Onsen itself is wonderful, some measures for privacy might be worth considering. With great meals, Onsen, and a comfortable Room all in one place, along with excellent service from the staff, I thoroughly enjoyed my solo trip at a relaxed pace. Thank you very much!

    A few years ago, I stayed here alone during the COVID period and had a great experience, so I revisited with my family. It was still an excellent Ryokan. The staff's attentiveness was well-balanced, neither too intrusive nor too distant, leaving a good impression. For families with small children, having meals served in the Room is very convenient, and although the guest Room and dining area are separate, they are close enough to keep an eye on children for peace of mind. Soap and other amenities for small children were also provided. One point to note: there was a broken cord holder on the blinds. Since it could be dangerous if a child gets tangled in the cord, please check this issue.

    It was an accommodation full of hospitality.

    The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were extremely delicious. Dogo Onsen Honkan and its surroundings were within walking distance, making it easy to explore. The large public bath had slightly hot water, but it felt pleasantly warm even after getting out. Additionally, towels were provided in the bathroom, so there was no need to carry wet ones around, which made each use very convenient. There was also a parking lot available, and traveling by rental car was comfortable. Overall, the staff's attention to detail and courteous service stood out. Although visiting Dogo Onsen required a bit of effort in our itinerary this time, staying at this accommodation made it worthwhile.

    I was comforted by the kind service of the staff.

    It was a visit during the peak of summer, but there was no assistance with carrying luggage either at the entrance or when moving from reception to the room. Additionally, during the explanation in the room, no cold drinks were offered, leaving an impression of minimal service at first. Since it was Dogo Onsen, I decided to take a bath and went to the large public bath. There were no other guests around, allowing me to relax and refresh myself. However, I hesitated to use the open-air bath as it lacked any special features. The meals were satisfying in both content and quantity, clearly showcasing this accommodation's pride. Moreover, the woman who served us was very kind and engaging in conversation, making both dinner and breakfast heartwarming experiences. Thank you for that. While there are areas that could be improved overall, thanks to her hospitality, my stay turned out to be pleasant.
