    I think it would be ...

    I think it would be better if a home-style air conditioner were installed in the Room. Even when I lowered the temperature, it was still too hot to sleep. The glass in front of the front entrance was dirty with noticeable fingerprints. I think the public areas should be cleaned as well. There were spider webs on the ceiling of the open-air bath where women’s and men’s access alternates.

    Not recommended for solo travelers due to the noise.

    I stayed in a Room with a private open-air bath in February. The Room was clean and the ocean view was wonderful. However, with the winter Sea of Japan, wind speed around 5 m/s, and being on the 7th floor (about the height of a 10-story building), the open-air bath temperature dropped to about 35°C and it was cold. They explained at check-in that the temperature could drop, but I feel this should have been communicated at the time of Reservation. It would probably be fine in summer. I should have considered it from the start—I didn’t understand what snowy regions are like. Dinner buffet: there were simply too few staff, and it felt like they couldn’t manage the lines. The first steak line and the post-meal Häagen-Dazs line were especially terrible—an unpleasant, rather discourteous scene to watch. One odd thing personally: a female staff member who handled my check-in was later standing alone at the all-you-can-drink bar counter doing her best to serve a line of heavy drinkers. Not her fault at all, though. The buffet itself wasn’t particularly good. The featured steamed Ezo abalone smelled because it didn’t seem properly cleaned on the surface. The featured steak was also disappointing—I could see stacks of frozen chilled packs behind the grill station. I wanted them to sell a bit more “dream.” The salad bar and Häagen-Dazs were delicious. Overall it was noisy, so it may not be ideal for solo travelers. The Ryokan I stayed at the day before had more staff—even though they had only one-tenth as many guests. After another underwhelming stay following Oedo Onsen in Matsushima, I guess this price range has its limits (though that one was worse). Lastly, despite having three elevators, their operation felt inefficient and frustrating. It ended up being an educational memory for me.

    A budget-friendly Hotel perfect for solo travelers

    Stayed alone on Friday. The renovated Japanese-Western style room was very clean and provided a relaxing stay. Although the room was near the front desk, karaoke room, and kids' room, it was well soundproofed, and once the door was closed, it was perfectly quiet. The large public bath was conveniently close as well. At the dining area, staff members showed thoughtful consideration by arranging seating to ensure privacy whenever possible. The buffet offered an excellent variety of dishes with great flavors, allowing for a calm and satisfying meal experience. Most notably, while many large-scale hotels often have baths where it's unclear if they use Onsen water or regular heated water, this one had authentic Onsen water with a truly pleasant feel. The location is outstanding with breathtaking views of the sea up close—absolutely fantastic! Being a large chain hotel popular among families, I initially wondered how it would be for solo travelers like myself; however, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay thanks to their hospitality. Thank you very much!

    Long-Distance Road Trip for Couples

    This is my third stay at Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Shiomiso, and the comfortable facility along with the excellent attentiveness of the staff made it a wonderful experience. The cuisine, offering a mix of Japanese and Western styles, was delightful and made this trip truly memorable. If I have another opportunity to visit, I would love to stay at Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Shiomiso again.

    One night, two days accommodation

    Stayed for my mother's 70th birthday celebration. I had high expectations for the food based on reviews, but honestly, it was just okay. The bath was very satisfying, so that was good. The lounge was also very satisfying!

    It became a busy Onsen Ryokan, possibly due to being used during Golden Week. The number of staff seemed insufficient, and the bathroom and guest rooms were not very clean, which was disappointing. However, I felt that the staff provided very pleasant service and were doing their best.

    This was my first time using the service, and I found it clean with excellent staff support. The meals were satisfying, with a wide variety of seafood. I traveled by motorcycle, and although I was informed during the reservation that there would be no roofed parking, I was allowed to park under a spacious overhang, which was very helpful.

    It was wonderful!

    We visited for my daughter's graduation and school entrance trip. Upon arrival, the parking lot was already full, which showed how popular this place is. The front desk staff were efficient, and we quickly checked in and enjoyed a welcome drink. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, which we thoroughly enjoyed! Everything was delicious. The sauna temperature in the bath felt slightly low but still within an acceptable range. The beach is just about a 5-second walk away, and we captured some emotional final memories with my daughter through beautiful photos. It truly became a wonderful memory! Next time, we'd love to visit during the swimming season!
