    Satisfied

    I think this is a very satisfying Accommodation. Although it is not an Accommodation within Kamikochi, if you are trekking from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge, I would recommend this Accommodation even more. We were able to park until 3:00 PM the next day, and it was also possible to use the Onsen for a day trip after the trek. The staff’s smiles were delightful, and it was a wonderful, relaxing Accommodation.

    Just as I expected.

    The service and meals were excellent, but as shown in the photos the bath is small—at most suitable for about three people. The open-air bath is essentially for one person only. The washing area is cramped, and when someone is washing while you are in the indoor bath, water splashes make it hard to relax in the tub. The Room layout is also inconvenient, and the toilet has an unpleasant odor. I would prefer bottled water instead of a pitcher. There were no cups either—I was surprised to have to drink from a teacup, but there’s nowhere to place anything so I suppose it can’t be helped. Considering typical Hotel prices around Kamikochi, it may be inexpensive, so perhaps that’s why; I understand why I was able to make a Reservation at short notice. I will not be returning.

    Thank you for a blissful moment.

    Stayed with my mother. The meals were absolutely exquisite, just as expected. The service was attentive, and the clean room made for a comfortable stay. Although the bath was slightly small, we were fortunate that there were only a few other guests, allowing us to relax and enjoy it. If I may suggest, it would be convenient to have hand towels in the room's washbasin area matching the number of guests staying in that room for face washing purposes. Even with that minor point, it was a very satisfying accommodation.

    Food Lovers' Paradise.

    I stayed here for my first visit to Kamikochi. The room seemed newly renovated and was very clean. The meals were delicious and plentiful, which was very satisfying. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Onsen. That said, the staff's service was excellent.

    Second stay

    This is my second stay at this accommodation, and I am very satisfied with the variety of dishes for both dinner and breakfast. However, as I felt during my previous visit, the open space above the partition in the bath area makes me feel someone’s presence nearby. While it’s not that anyone is peeking, it does feel uncomfortable. If possible, I would appreciate it if this could be fully enclosed. I forgot something in the room but was grateful for your prompt arrangement to send it back to me. If the private baths are underutilized, please consider lowering their price. I look forward to staying again next year!

    Close to the bus stop

    The staff at the accommodation were very pleasant, access to Kamikochi was excellent, and the meals were highly satisfying.

    Satisfaction with Meals and Hospitality

    We stayed here during our trip to Kamikochi for a buffet. The hotel's front lobby was clean and nice, but the room felt a bit cheap in design. Our room was on the second floor, but unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the view as the window was frosted glass. When opened, it faced trees (though during the fresh green season, we were soothed by the forest scent—quite refreshing!). The Onsen temperature was just right for me to soak in comfortably for a long time and feel relaxed. The outdoor bath had some insects and leaves floating around, but considering it's an accommodation surrounded by nature, it didn't bother me much. The meals were incredibly filling with generous portions that left us completely satisfied. My husband also felt full, so it might be too much for elderly guests. The kaiseki-style dishes allowed us to enjoy a variety of small portions which was delightful! The staff at this Ryokan were warm and welcoming with their smiles and excellent service. The next morning started early with another relaxing soak in the Onsen followed by breakfast—a truly rejuvenating experience overall. While I had higher expectations for the room itself which slightly lowered my rating, I still found our stay reasonably satisfying overall!

    Satisfying Accommodation

    I stayed at the accommodation the night before heading to Kamikochi. The room was simple but functional, clean, and provided a comfortable stay. Dinner was a delightful kaiseki meal with plenty of dishes, both visually appealing and delicious, perfectly paired with drinks. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, offering assistance at just the right moments, which made me very happy. The bath had gentle water that felt soothing and relaxing. Since I had an early departure for breakfast, they kindly prepared rice balls instead. I picked them up at 6:00 AM and took the 6:36 AM bus to Kamikochi; enjoying the rice balls while overlooking Azusa River during my trek was amazing. Parking was available for my car, and it was only about a 3-minute walk to the bus stop, making it very convenient. I would love to stay here again!

    The service was excellent.

    The bathroom was a bit small but very clean. The meals were satisfying with generous portions. The service during meals was very polite and attentive.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I was very satisfied as I could enjoy the open-air bath with a view of the snow after it had fallen. The food was also very delicious, and I could enjoy local specialties from Nagano. The Room was very clean, perhaps because it was just renovated! I am very grateful to the Hotel staff for their excellent service. Thank you for suggesting that we might need a yukata for the children.

    Wonderful Ryokan

    The staff's service was excellent, and the meals were delicious. The onsen was not very large, but it was spacious enough as there weren't many other guests. The open-air bath was smaller than expected. I couldn't use it because it was raining.
