    From check-in onward...

    From check-in onward, all the staff were courteous and very pleasant. However, since guests walk barefoot or in socks inside the building, some areas felt sticky, so it would have been nice to have slippers available.

    Exceeded expectations!

    The staff were wonderful, the meals exceeded our expectations, the Facility was spacious and comfortable, and the views were great. They also happily replaced our towels and in-house wear as many times as we needed. It was an excellent stay. Our child loved it too and keeps saying they want to come again.

    We were very satisfied with both the Facility and the meals. In particular, we were truly impressed by the wonderful thoughtfulness of all the staff—those at the front desk, those who served our meals, those who saw us off at the entrance, and those who kept the property clean. Thanks to you, it was a wonderful trip and we are very grateful. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I had used this Accommodation several times for day trips, so I decided to try staying overnight. It was great that I could use the Facility even before check-in on the day of arrival. The open-air bath in the Room wasn’t an Onsen, but it was still very relaxing. Soaking in the open-air bath in the morning while listening to birdsong was wonderful. The Room was also very clean and comfortable. If I had to be picky, perhaps because it was a weekday, there were no services such as a welcome drink—only some snacks in the Room. The amenities were minimal, and if you wanted cotton swabs or cotton pads you had to use those provided at the large public bath, which was a bit inconvenient. The garden visible from the open-air bath was also overgrown with weeds, and I wished it had been maintained a little better.

    The staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond!

    They welcomed us with a smile as soon as we arrived, guided us kindly, and even carried our luggage to the Room. The conversation was enjoyable, and we had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The property was clean throughout, and the Facility offerings were well maintained—we were very satisfied. When we left, they took photos for us and kept waving until we were completely out of sight, which made us feel truly happy. We would love to stay again.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    The staff are very friendly, kind, and always smiling, which naturally brings a smile to our faces too. The food is delicious, and the Accommodation feels clean and well maintained throughout. It’s a place that makes you want to come back. We immediately recommended it to our family and friends as an Accommodation we truly suggest.

    It was a little different from what I expected.

    I had assumed this was an Onsen Accommodation where day-use bathing was also available, but it was the opposite. It seems the main focus is the Onsen bathing Facility, with Accommodation also offered. This time I made a Reservation for a Room with a semi-open-air bath. The Room was clean, very spacious, and comfortable. The in-room semi-open-air bath was also large and pleasant, but it was not an Onsen; if it had been, I think I would have been extremely satisfied. The amenities felt no different from those at a Business Hotel. Also, as this was a Multiple Night Stay, I requested no Room cleaning and asked at check-in only for towel replacement. However, there was no clear guidance at that time, and it seemed to be a system where guests must go and exchange towels themselves. The plan included dinner and breakfast, but I felt there was a big gap between them. Dinner used good ingredients that were properly prepared; it looked great, the staff service was pleasant, and I was very satisfied. However, breakfast felt almost like what you would get at a Business Hotel.

    The staff were excellent.

    The clientele was terrible. In the sauna’s relaxation area after the löyly, people were lounging around shirtless. I stayed in a suite Room, but it wasn’t an Onsen (even though it’s an Onsen area). It felt like a huge local Hotel—not a place you’d choose for a special occasion. At breakfast, kids were running around right next to us while we were eating. It was less relaxing than even a business Hotel. All I was left with was disappointment. Sorry for being blunt, but that’s honestly how I feel.

    Thank you for a wonderful time.

    My grandchild is still young and cannot always follow a set schedule, so I was truly grateful for the accommodating service provided by the Hotel staff! I definitely plan to visit again.

    We stayed here for a family trip. From the warm welcome to the farewell, the staff's hospitality made our stay very pleasant! The facility has been renovated, making it clean and comfortable to stay in with peace of mind. The Onsen and dinner were absolutely fantastic! We would love to visit again when we go to Yamagata!

    The open-air bath in the Room is excellent.

    The suite's open-air bath was exceptional. The shape and size of the tub, the water temperature, the view, and the tranquility made it the best in-room open-air bath I have ever experienced. The meals were plentiful, and the effort of a new staff member explaining each dish left a positive impression. The massage treatment was meticulous, with pleasant conversation that provided great relaxation. Taking photos with a flower hat at departure was also enjoyable. I will definitely visit again!

    Excellent service

    The Facility was satisfying, but the staff members were exceptionally kind. It was heartwarming to see them naturally attentive rather than just doing their duties. Next time, I plan to spend more relaxing time within the Hotel.

    It was a good accommodation.

    We were upgraded to a larger room as it was available, allowing us to relax comfortably. The meals were delicious, and the staff's explanations about the dishes were excellent. Upon departure, a young male staff member from the accommodation saw us off until our car was out of sight. It was such a wonderful accommodation that we would love to visit again.

    It was a pleasant time.

    The Yonezawa beef sukiyaki for dinner, along with the sashimi and other dishes, was delicious and beautifully presented. The additional Yamagata beef sukiyaki was also tender and flavorful. The bath cafe was charming, and I wish I could have spent more time there. Enjoying a morning bath while gazing at Mount Zao was truly refreshing. Above all, the staff were kind and attentive, making our stay very pleasant.

    Great value and exceptional hospitality!

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay! The Room was upgraded as a complimentary service! The Onsen Facility is spacious and clean! Dinner was a sukiyaki course, and it was absolutely satisfying! All the staff were very kind and friendly. This is such a heartwarming Ryokan! I've stayed at many places, but this one has the best value for money with hospitality comparable to luxury Ryokans! I will definitely return when visiting Yamagata!! Thank you so much!
