It was the most stylish Hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
I travel every month, and this is the most stylish Room of any Hotel I’ve stayed at so far!! This time I stayed in the Suite Double ~IBIZA~ (Quad), and it was spacious and very comfortable. A hair dryer, tea set, refrigerator, toner, emulsion, and DHC shampoo, treatment conditioner, and body soap are provided! Breakfast was also really delicious. It seems there are other Rooms with different concepts as well, so I’d love to visit again!

It was amazing!
We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Everything was outstanding—the beautiful Room, the delicious meals, the private bath, and all the Hotel staff. The food in particular was amazing; the course meal made generous use of ingredients from Shimoda, and we could truly savor Shimoda’s richness from start to finish. The Hotel staff were also very kind—helping us with a small mishap in the bath (lol) and explaining each dish clearly. My girlfriend was thrilled, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

Accommodation of Relaxation and Fine Dining
Stayed on New Year's Eve 2025. It was my first time, so I made the reservation based on reviews. Stayed in a room called "Sicily." The corner room was spacious with an amazing ocean view, which left me impressed. There was a large sofa, making it feel as comfortable as being at home. Coffee beans were set in the coffee mill, and I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee. The special New Year's menu had slightly higher pricing than usual but was worth every penny! Seafood, beef fillet, New Year's soba noodles, and unlimited alcohol made for a very satisfying New Year's Eve. At midnight, fireworks lit up over the ocean—it felt like being abroad! Breakfast included light traditional New Year dishes along with souvenirs to take home. Shimoda is known for summer visits; next time I'd love to come during summer vacation!

Hotel with Delicious Meals
The breakfast and dinner at this Hotel were very delicious. The dinner portions were just right for women, but not enough for my growing daughter. The open-air bath attached to the Room had many insects due to the natural surroundings. Although the tub had a cover, small insects were floating, so we decided not to use it. There was a spider web above the shower with a fairly large spider, which made us worried it might fall. Since it is a small Hotel, it was very convenient to get to the dining area and parking lot quickly from the Room. We would like to stay again next year, so it would be great if the insects in the bath and spider webs could be reduced.

For couples
The meals were very delicious! The atmosphere was great, with the facility based on white and blue tones. The room we stayed in had an open-air bath, which was very satisfying, but the washroom was combined with the toilet. If they were separated, it would have been an even more satisfying room.

I enjoyed Onsen and meals with an overseas atmosphere.
We visited Izu on a trip for two with my husband and enjoyed the Onsen and meals. The room did not have a bath, but it had a shower and toilet, and we were given priority access to the two private open-air Onsen baths, so there was no problem at all. The room was a corner room with a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach, featuring white walls, purple carpet, and curtains, making it very clean and stylish. The view from the room gives an atmosphere reminiscent of overseas. Since each room is different, next time I would like to stay in a room with a private pool that my grandchildren would enjoy, together with my daughter's family.

Last-minute Reservation for Stays
This was my first time using the service. I originally had a reservation for a one-night stay at a property I booked two months ago, but I suddenly needed to stay for two nights, so I made a reservation four days ago and stayed. Just before the end of the year, I searched on IKYU and found that most options were No Meals Included, with few offering dinner and breakfast. However, I found a room available at the separate villa (Sea Sapphire), so I chose it. It exceeded my expectations in a good way. First, regarding the location, the roads are narrow and hard to find, so it was a good decision to check in advance with street view. It seems possible to go with a large car, but some places require turning back. Situated on a small hill, both the room and the restaurant offer views of the sea and Shirahama, enhancing the mood. The room was spacious, and although I was concerned about having only air conditioning for heating, there was also a fan heater, making it comfortable. I could watch the sunrise from the living room sofa. (I recommend staying on New Year's Eve) Personally, I was not fond of the toilet and bath being in the same space like a business hotel, but in reality, it was a spacious area and pleasant to use. Regarding the onsen in the room, the temperature was low, but it could be adjusted to the right temperature with the reheating function. The noteworthy spring quality was genuine, with no added water, heating, circulation, filtration, additives, or disinfection, offering a true hot spring experience. (The private open-air bath onsen was at the right temperature.) As for dinner, it was delicious and just the right amount for a couple in their sixties. We ordered abalone sashimi and grilled Ise lobster as extras. The abalone was served together with the sashimi platter from the course meal, but the grilled Ise lobster was served on a separate plate, making it feel like an extra dish, which was delightful. The wine menu only listed full bottles, but they kindly accommodated us with a half portion in a decanter, which we appreciated. Breakfast was also delicious, with the grilled mackerel having crispy skin, and the other side dishes were tasty as well. The staff was efficient regarding meals, and it was evident that training and information sharing were well conducted. Additionally, although I won't go into details, they pleasantly accommodated small requests, which was much appreciated. Shimoda City, located at the tip of the Izu Peninsula, is often avoided due to the distance, but it was a memorable stay. I also recommend visiting the Shirahama Shrine right below. I would like to revisit, so I look forward to staying again.

Although there were minor troubles...
We stayed at the property during our drive through East Izu with a new car. When we couldn't find the way near the property, they kindly gave us clear directions over the phone. At check-in, we had to change our room due to a malfunction of the hot water pump in the room (with a heated pool) we had planned to stay in. They handled the situation promptly. We stayed in a room called Sicily, and the view was very nice, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. The meals were very delicious, and I felt that the ingredients were well utilized in the cooking. Although I don't drink much alcohol, they allowed us to take the ordered drinks back to the room, which was very nice. Next time we stay, we would like to stay in a room with a heated pool. We will visit again.
