  Sightseeing / Room Only (No Meals)

  Although it is a Hotel at a golf course, it is close to Nagatoro, and we stayed as a family of four for sightseeing. What we liked - The Room was spacious and very clean - Having two low tables was very convenient - Microwave, toaster, kettle, cups, teacups, and tea bags were provided. (Coffee is also sold for 150 yen from 7:00 a.m. next to the front desk.) - Comfortable bedding/mattress - We used the large public bath at 9:00 p.m.; there was no one else in either the men’s or women’s bath, so it felt like a private bath. What we didn’t like - The lights in the building are turned off at 10:00 p.m., so you need to finish bathing by then. There is currently no morning bath. (Understandable for a golf course Hotel.) - We were uneasy to hear that after 10:00 p.m., you can no longer call the front desk via internal phone. - The refrigerator was small and the freezer compartment was especially limited; the ice packs we brought for the next day did not freeze by morning. It’s not really a Hotel geared toward sightseeing, but considering everything, we would like to stay here again. Using a coupon on this site, it cost 13,500 yen for No Meals Included for four people. There were some inconveniences, but getting such a large and clean Room at this price is more than satisfactory. This time we had dinner beforehand and bought breakfast at a local supermarket before checking in at 8:00 p.m. The drive up to the mountain-top Hotel through pitch-dark mountain roads was scary, but in return the night view of the city from the summit was beautiful. Still, I recommend checking in before sunset. There was also a sauna in our Room; we didn’t have time to use it this trip, but we’re looking forward to trying it next time. It seems there are also saunas and a pool at the cottages outside the Hotel as well, which also caught our interest. Photos attached. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We are delighted to hear that you chose our Hotel as your base for sightseeing in Chichibu and Nagatoro with your family of four, and that you were satisfied with the spaciousness and cleanliness of your Room, the bedding, and the large public bath. We are also pleased to know you found the low table and in-room amenities comfortable to use. On the other hand, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or concern caused by our on-site operating hours, nighttime service, and refrigerator specifications. As a Hotel attached to a golf course, there are certain limitations on large public bath hours and overnight front desk support; however, we will take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve our services. We understand that traveling here via mountain roads may have been unsettling, but we are glad you were able to enjoy the night view from the summit. We also understand that you were unable to use the in-room sauna due to time constraints; we hope you will be able to relax and enjoy it fully on your next visit. At kieto Chichibu located on the same grounds, there is also a barrel sauna and a pool, so we would be grateful if you would consider staying with us again in another season. Encouraged by your kind words—“a Hotel I would like to stay at again”—we will continue striving to create an even more comfortable experience for our guests.   Spectacular views from the restaurant!

  This was my first trip to Chichibu and Nagatoro. The lobby was gorgeous, filled with green marble. The Room was luxurious, spotless, and wonderful. The restaurant had a great view, with Mount Hodosan faintly visible—truly spectacular. The food was exquisite, including a Japanese-style hamburger steak made without the four harmful ingredients and fresh sashimi. The large public bath was spacious and very clean. The water temperature was on the hotter side, which warmed me up and helped me relax. I also appreciate that you took photos for us at the end. It’s a Hotel I would love to stay at again.
