Kids’ Paradise
The kids’ meals and amenities were excellent, and the Facility environment was wonderful for keeping children entertained. The kids’ room is open 24 hours, so even children who wake up early and are full of energy could enjoy themselves to the fullest. When our older grandchild fell ill on the second day, you were a tremendous help—preparing gentle-on-the-stomach meals and promptly taking care of the bedding. The adults who enjoy drinks also thoroughly enjoyed the all-inclusive plan. We would love to visit again. Just one request: we would feel safer if an additional lock for access to the open-air bath and footbath area could be installed higher up as well. Our 4-year-old can unlock doors on their own, and we felt anxious about them accidentally stepping out onto the terrace and potentially falling into the river. Thank you for considering this.

Third Spiritual Cleansing
My third stay, and my first time in Room 105! I was a little worried because I’d practically deified Room 103, but… Entering the room → Huh? Is it just a foot bath? Seriously… (lol) Of course not. You still get the same open-air area as Room 103, plus a foot bath (a bar where you can soak while having a drink), and on the bedroom side there are two Onsen baths with even more space than Room 103! On top of that, there are two chairs for post-bath relaxation. It ended up being the room with the largest private space overall. The Onsen in Room 105 is set on a properly built wooden platform, which adds an extra touch of luxury. The usual garden had a very summery vibe—there was a pool, water guns, and even a mist machine (handmade?). Love this kind of thing. The pool had lots of little “duck captain” floats swimming around. At the garden entrance they also provide Crocs-style loaner sandals that are fine to get wet. Cooling towels and insect repellent spray were fully stocked. The kids’ area is big enough to run around in and has strong air conditioning (ice-cold). This middle-aged guy burned some calories playing table tennis. Then came dinner—delicious enough to undo all that effort. I always praise it, but once again there was no chef’s name on the menu… Seems like they’re shy and not big on self-promotion. Apparently trained in Kyoto cuisine—the dashi and seasoning are refined and elegant. Their simmered sea bream is outstanding. There may be many Accommodations in Izu, but Mizumari’s simmered fish is simply on another level. And even though this chef won’t put their name on the menu, they quietly help carry guests’ luggage when they arrive (lol). The two attendants were cheerful as always, making conversation easy and enjoyable. They also made sure my previous points were properly applied, so I could relax like I was back at my parents’ home. There aren’t any flashy “ultra-luxury” items here—just genuine Showa-era hospitality that still lives on. Mizumari is an Accommodation where you can be taken care of without feeling tense or formal. This may sound like a sponsored Review again, but it isn’t—I’m posting because I want others to experience this kind of indulgence too. Please let me visit again; when my soul gets dirty, I’ll come back.

Thank you for your patronage.
Check-in and check-out can be done in the room, making it truly relaxing. The onsen has an excellent water quality that leaves your skin feeling smooth, and soaking while enjoying the natural scenery of rivers and mountains is very soothing. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and my husband was especially delighted with the morning rolled omelet, saying it was the best he’s ever had (and I agree!). This popular accommodation has many repeat guests, making reservations difficult to secure, but we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking care of us!

It was a wonderful accommodation.
It was a family trip with two toddlers. Traveling with young children can be hectic, and sometimes it feels more tiring due to all the considerations. However, this accommodation was very convenient as there were fewer guests, and most activities could be done in the room. The kids' room, free drink service, and baby gear rental were also greatly appreciated. The staff were incredibly kind, and both the meals and baths were excellent. One point to note is that the room we stayed in had two baths with a significant temperature difference—one was slightly lukewarm while the other was extremely hot—so we had to adjust by adding water ourselves each time, which was a bit inconvenient. (Although you can ask the front desk for temperature adjustment, even after their help there remained this difference; initially both baths were extremely hot.) Overall, it was a very comfortable stay at an accommodation I would highly recommend!

Unfortunately.
The room we stayed in was Room 103. The service staff and the onsen (private open-air bath) were excellent. However, there were many unpleasant experiences that left us very disappointed. For example, the yukata sleeves had dried rice grains stuck to them, likely from a previous guest's meal, and there were two cigarette butts in the pocket of the haori jacket. It made us question whether proper cleaning was done at all—it was that bad. We have stayed at various accommodations across the whole country, from luxury ryokans to budget-friendly onsen accommodations, but we have never experienced anything like this before. That said, the female staff member who served our meals was truly wonderful and attentive with her care and hospitality. It is such a shame that issues like these detract from an otherwise great experience when you have such amazing staff members working here. While it is not an expensive accommodation, I believe basic standards should still be maintained. Other than these issues, everything else—such as enjoying meals and relaxing in the onsen surrounded by nature with only a few guest rooms—was fantastic. As it is also described as a family-friendly accommodation for children, we look forward to visiting again next time with our grandchild. Lastly, thank you so much to the female staff member who served our meals for your exceptional kindness and thoughtfulness! This is undoubtedly a wonderful accommodation; please keep striving for improvement!

It’s hard to believe it was originally intended for the general public.
Originally a budget-friendly accommodation, this place still retains its casual charm with features like a kids' room in what used to be a large hall and 24-hour free snacks and bread. It’s amusingly far from the typical "luxury hotel" vibe, which explains its casual category. However! The three exclusive luxury rooms are an entirely different story. Each comes with a private bath, and the shared spaces like the lobby are incredibly spacious—far more than you'd expect for just three rooms. The amenities are also top-notch, featuring BA boxed sets—a generous touch. This hotel offers a unique experience in many ways. The private baths are excellent and spacious, the riverside location is refreshing, and the rooms are comfortable with effective heating. The only downside was poor drainage in the shower room; water didn’t flow properly and accumulated quickly, which was inconvenient. Fixing this issue would make it perfect. Overall, this accommodation offers enjoyment beyond its price point while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere—just my kind of place!

It is truly a great Ryokan.
The hospitality was excellent, and the Onsen and meals were very enjoyable. I would love to visit again.

Newly Renovated Room
This time, we stayed in the newly renovated Room 103. The shower room was designed similarly to Room 105, making it more convenient to use. The outdoor bath had its boards replaced and looked beautiful again. Every visit brings new services or toys, and we can feel the changes each time. Despite these updates, the hospitality of the staff remains consistently wonderful, making this accommodation very comfortable and welcoming. For meals, they prepared different dishes for my husband and me and served food that our children love—everything was delicious as always, leaving us completely satisfied. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The Ultimate Serenity: The Luxury of Doing Nothing
This was my first stay at this accommodation, which features only three rooms for a private and intimate experience. It is within walking distance to the scenic Kawazu Nanadaru waterfalls, and I was kindly allowed to use the accommodation's parking lot before check-in, enabling me to enjoy the stunning views. While others were struggling with full municipal or paid parking lots, I felt a bit privileged. Completing all seven waterfalls requires about two hours of walking round trip—challenging but truly moving. It made me realize how much more there is to discover in Japan. As for the accommodation "Mizumari," it offers an impressive sense of tranquility. The staff provided cheerful service from the lobby while maintaining just the right amount of distance—not intrusive but always ready to assist when needed. Their hospitality was so exceptional that I found myself calling on them even when unnecessary! Turning into the corridor leading to my room, I noticed a delightful tea incense aroma filling the entire floor—a detail I absolutely loved. The room itself was a classic Japanese-style tatami room with beautiful transoms and even tea incense inside. While not overly luxurious, it had an understated charm that felt just right (this is not sponsored!). Designed with in-room dining in mind, one side featured a dining table and low seating area for relaxation along with amenities like a TV and minibar. The minibar here wasn’t just decorative or extra-charge items—it’s included as part of this all-inclusive accommodation! In addition, there’s a vending machine in the lobby offering chilled soft drinks and alcohol 24/7—a surprisingly convenient feature compared to typical free drink services that often close around 10 PM. Thanks to this setup, I enjoyed myself until 2 AM! Back in my room: on one side were futons with mattresses along with water facilities and an open-air terrace bath; these areas are separated by sliding doors for complete privacy. The open-air bath deserves special mention—it overlooks a stream just two meters away where you can relax without worrying about being seen since no one can access the opposite bank due to its location amidst nature. Despite being surrounded by forested scenery above you is transparent roofing ensuring no falling leaves disturb your experience—truly thoughtful design! This stream flows from Deai Waterfall at Kawazu Nanadaru—how wonderful is that? A must-try experience. Now onto meals: nothing flashy but every ingredient used was top-notch quality—you could tell immediately! Even breakfast featuring Wasabi Donburi (wasabi rice bowl) stood out as high-quality fare showcasing local specialties from Amagi through Kawazu—I felt like I'd tasted everything unique this region has to offer. I will definitely return again someday! Lastly (and again—not sponsored), thank you for such an enjoyable stay!

Stylish accommodation with all-inclusive settings
I thought it was a family-friendly accommodation, and I liked that meals could be served in the room and the room was of a suitable size. I ordered sake with the price clearly indicated, and no additional charges were applied. The all-inclusive setup with snacks, alcohol, instant noodles, etc., at night was great. The system where you insert 10 yen into a vending machine to get sake is quite stylish.

Always very satisfied
Our family loves to revisit our favorite accommodations, and this is definitely one of them. The attentive hospitality makes both the kids and us enjoy every moment of our stay. We are always amazed by how thoughtful the staff is! Meals are tailored to our preferences, and we end up eating too much because everything is so delicious! The Onsen has excellent water quality, leaving no need for moisturizer even during this dry season. This accommodation always brings us comfort and relaxation. We look forward to seeing everyone again on our next visit!

Truly, truly satisfied!!
This is my fourth stay. Every single time has been truly, truly satisfying. While there are other Ryokans that can provide a certain level of satisfaction, after a few visits, I often find myself thinking, "Huh? Last time was better..." But this Ryokan has never disappointed me—in fact, it keeps getting better! The baths are amazing! The food is amazing! The hospitality is amazing!! I believe this Ryokan deserves the title of the grand champion in the East! Looking forward to my next visit—it gives me motivation to work hard!

Onsen bath by the riverside is exceptional.
A very quiet and nice place. The meals served in the Room were great. However, the menu mentioned chestnut rice, but it was different, which was very disappointing. Other than that, everything was excellent. The surprise cake was also amazing. Thank you very much!

It was an impressive accommodation.
The open-air bath in Izu Kawazu, surrounded by nature, was absolutely amazing. We felt so relaxed soaking in the bath multiple times while watching the river flow and listening to the birds sing. The hospitality was excellent, and each dish served was incredibly delicious, leaving my husband and me deeply impressed. The style of accommodating only three groups per day allowed us to enjoy our stay without any stress or worries. This is an accommodation we would love to visit repeatedly with our loved ones. We look forward to visiting again!
