    This was our first stay as a family of four. Since we were all exhausted from the extreme heat, we truly appreciated being able to enjoy a welcome drink in the air-conditioned lounge after check-in. We stayed in a wonderful Room on the top floor with ocean views and a view of Mt. Fuji, and our whole family was impressed. The Hotel was very clean, and everything—from the attentive service and luxurious meals to the spacious, relaxing baths, the open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji, and the cold tea and ice cream after bathing—was excellent, making it an exceptionally comfortable stay. We also joined the summer bingo event and had fun enjoying the festive atmosphere. After check-in, you also took our family commemorative photo promptly at the entrance—thank you very much. We would love to stay again as a family!

    Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. However, it was disappointing that there was no fan in the large public bath washroom, so it felt hot when using the hair dryer.

    Excellent value for money.

    I stayed here for the first time for the tuna and the Onsen, and it was better than expected. As soon as I pulled up to the entrance, a staff member quickly came to carry my luggage (all the way to my Room), and the parking lot was spacious so I could park with peace of mind. My Room was No. 803, with a full ocean view from the window, and it was new and spotless. It would have been perfect if I could see Mt. Fuji too—unfortunately not. The toilet is automatic, and everything from the sofa to the washbasin area is functional; even the air conditioning is designed so that airflow doesn’t blow directly on you. The large public bath is spacious and includes an open-air bath, and there was even a poster saying Yaizu Onsen is No. 1 in central Shizuoka Prefecture (according to experts). It was an unexpected treat after bathing to be able to enjoy draft beer, snacks, juice, etc., in a lounge-like area. For dinner we chose a private room, so we could eat in a relaxed setting. Everything was good, but in particular the seasonal giant freshwater prawn and eel were plump and delicious. There was also a bingo game in the lobby from 8:30 p.m., with many families participating—it really showed the Hotel’s hospitality spirit. Breakfast was buffet-style; both the venue and selection were extensive—tuna, shirasu (whitebait), salmon, omelets, and more—and it was excellent overall. For this price point, considering everything—the Onsen, meals, Room quality, location, service—it felt far beyond what you’d expect from a “casual” Hotel category. In terms of value for money, this ranks among my best stays ever.

    Although it was kaiseki-style, each course took a long time to be served, and we were about to miss the bingo event we had been invited to. We asked for the dishes to be served sooner and managed to make it in time. Better coordination is needed. The breakfast buffet was good.

    Your First Visit to Yaizu

    We stayed as a family. The view from outside the Hotel and from our Room was amazing thanks to the great weather. We could even see the Izu Peninsula and Mt. Fuji. The meals were also excellent, especially the tuna.

    I was satisfied.

    The Room had been renovated and was very clean, with thorough housekeeping. The ocean view was refreshing. The meals tasted great and were more than generous in portion size. The bath area was also clean and well organized. In many ways, it felt significantly better than other Hotels in the same price range. The Hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming, both at the front desk and in the dining area, and we ended up saying we’d like to stay again with our family.

    A comfortable and highly satisfying Hotel

    This was my second stay. This time I used the Hotel while visiting Kunozan Toshogu Shrine. I returned because my previous stay was so satisfying. The Room was spacious, with the Pacific Ocean right in front of me and Mt. Fuji visible slightly to the left. The bed, pillows, and bedding were excellent. The toilet and washbasin were separate, which made it very convenient. It’s a small detail, but I could tell they chose soft, high-quality toilet paper. Last time I had a kaiseki course meal, so this time I chose the buffet—and it was absolutely the right choice! Every dish was perfectly seasoned, and I ended up eating too much. There was a great selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. The tempura was freshly fried with a thin, crisp batter—excellent—and they even brought it to my seat. You can choose three items for sashimi as well; everything was exceptionally fresh (the medium fatty tuna was outstanding). The Chinese selection included dim sum such as xiaolongbao—there were so many options it was hard to choose. And for curry lovers, the beef tendon curry is irresistible; this too was fantastic. Breakfast is also buffet-style, and it was great that items like omelets were prepared live. I also appreciated that side dishes were served in small bowls so they were easy to pick up smoothly. And having staff serve rice and miso soup made everything stress-free. For the large public bath, it’s thoughtful that you don’t need to bring towels from your Room. The changing area was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner—truly comfortable. All of the staff were pleasant and provided very welcoming service. I had another wonderful experience at this Hotel that makes me want to come back again.

    I was very satisfied.

    Although it is a large Hotel, the hospitality was attentive, and the staff’s warm smiles made our stay truly comfortable. The southern bluefin tuna course was plentiful and delicious. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

    Excellent location.

    I stayed in a Japanese-style Room on a high floor. The Room felt a bit dated, perhaps because it hasn’t been renovated yet, but it was clean. The view of Suruga Bay from the window was amazing. Dinner sashimi was very delicious, and I also enjoyed the strawberry yogurt dessert. I would like to stay again.

    A Relaxing Trip with My Mother

    On the day of our stay, a bomb cyclone brought strong winds and torrential rain. With tunnel construction near the Hotel causing road closures, we couldn’t find the detour and ended up wandering around, but thanks to a kind police officer we arrived safely. The moment we finally made it inside—almost risking our lives in the gusts—the staff immediately came with towels, which truly impressed us. The only disappointment was the food. It seems the Imperial Family stayed here in 2001, but I felt unsure about the meal quality and even the tableware. I’ve stayed at many places, and the breakfast buffet was just average. The location is excellent, and the building is spacious, clean, and comfortable.

    It was a gorgeous Ryokan.

    I stayed here on the recommendation of someone who works at a travel agency. The entrance was luxurious, the Room was spacious with a great view, and the location was perfect. They also asked about my detailed food preferences at the time of Reservation, and their service was excellent. The only disappointment was the bath temperature. Both the open-air bath and indoor bath were set too low, to the point that I felt chilled. In the evening, the sauna was still open so I could warm up again, but in the morning it was closed and I had to warm myself up with a hair dryer.

    Rest before the New ...

    Rest before the New Year. During the New Year, many gather at our home. From New Year's Eve, we are busy preparing traditional dishes, and on New Year's Day, everyone eats and drinks from noon to night, with some staying over... Before that, it's time to recharge. We enjoyed delicious food and had a relaxing stay at a great accommodation. We stayed here last year as well; it's one of our favorite accommodations.

    It was absolutely amazing.

    Spacious Room, ocean view overlooking Suruga Bay, a stunning view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, and delicious cuisine—everything was perfect. Of course, I’ll be back again! (laughs) I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Shizuoka. It’s highly recommended for families as many guests seem to come with their loved ones.

    The large public bath is very relaxing.

    The view of Mount Fuji from the large public bath is spectacular, offering an exceptional sense of openness. You can also enjoy the view of Mount Fuji from your Room, ensuring a comfortable stay. While the Facility and Room furnishings are standard, considering the price, there’s nothing to complain about. The seafood dishes were truly delicious and lived up to expectations.

    The room offered a stunning view of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery. The meals were delicious and served in portions suitable for us celebrating our 60th year. Thank you very much. However, we felt that the staff member attending to us might still be learning about the meal details. Keep up the good work! Additionally, even when setting the room temperature to 18°, it did not feel comfortable. When we mentioned this at the front desk upon checkout, we were simply thanked for informing them, which was a bit disappointing.

    We made a sudden decision to visit after a long time with my husband. We had a pleasant stay in the newly renovated Room. Thank you for accommodating our food preferences despite the short notice. Since we like to wake up slowly in the morning, it would be even better if check-out was at 11:00 AM, but we enjoyed relaxing in the large bath.

    It was disappointing.

    The evaluation on IKYU and our own impressions have always matched until now, but this was quite disappointing. Opted for a bed, but to put it simply, it's an old-fashioned Ryokan. The yukata was old and worn out, which felt unpleasant. There were not enough towels. In the Onsen, you need to press the lever periodically or the water stops flowing. Meals were served in an outdated hall with dishes that weren't very tasty. Staff spoke casually and unprofessionally like someone’s aunt, which was shocking. For the first time in a while, I felt I never want to return here again.

    The Room and the open-air bath offered a stunning view of Suruga Bay, providing a truly soothing experience. The morning light reflecting off the water was particularly beautiful. The meals were not extravagant but featured delicious dishes made with local ingredients, and the broth stood out as especially flavorful. While dinner portions seemed slightly small for the big eaters in our family, they enjoyed the ice cream from the shop afterward. Breakfast was served partly in a self-serve style with individually plated items, making it convenient and smooth. We look forward to staying here again!

    Breathtaking Views!

    I made a reservation just before Golden Week. Since it was one of the last remaining rooms, I honestly didn’t have high expectations, but the breathtaking view as soon as I entered the room left me speechless! The lobby had a spacious and open atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy a lovely tea time while waiting for check-in. From both the room and the bathhouse, I could see Mount Fuji and the blue sea, which helped me relax and unwind from daily stress. The staff were highly attentive, making this trip extremely satisfying. Thank you very much!

    I stayed during Golden Week, and the cuisine, hospitality, and open-air bath were all excellent at this Ryokan. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

    The service is excellent.

    We stayed here for a family trip. Upon arrival, the staff was already waiting at the entrance, prepared with a luggage cart and helped us with our bags. Their attentive service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. From the Room, we could see Mount Fuji and the sea, and we were absolutely delighted with the view.

    Stunning Views

    The hotel is located on a hill facing the sea, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing view of the sunrise right in front of you. The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, featuring not only a sauna but also a jacuzzi within the Onsen and an open-air bath with an excellent view of the sea directly ahead. For meals, I chose the Bluefin Tuna course, which was absolutely delicious as expected. One thing I found disappointing was that it would have been nice if there were bath baskets or yukata provided in the room.

    Very satisfied with the staff's service.

    We stayed as a couple with my elderly mother-in-law. Upon informing the staff in advance that my mother-in-law could walk but had difficulty with her legs, they kindly arranged the Room and dining seating with consideration. The staff were all very kind, and we had a pleasant stay. The Onsen was, of course, wonderful, and the meals were delicious and just the right amount. Although we couldn't see much of Mt. Fuji due to the weather, it was a satisfying trip. We would love to visit again.

    The perfect accommodation on a sunny day!

    The accommodation offers beautiful views of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji from the rooms and facilities, but unfortunately, it was cloudy during our stay, so we couldn't enjoy the scenery. The facility is large and caters to group guests and banquets, making it a big hotel. Naturally, the baths are spacious, featuring various types such as jacuzzis and saunas. Since it was a weekday, we could fully enjoy the baths, but I wonder how it would be on a Saturday. We chose a breakfast-included plan, so I can't evaluate the dinner, but the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, including freshly made omelets, which was great. For dinner, we opted for a sushi restaurant near the fishing port. It's downhill from the accommodation, so you can walk there, but I recommend taking a taxi back. Next time, I’d like to try a dinner-included plan. Hopefully, the weather will be clear on our next visit!
