    A Lovely Villa

    We chose this property because we were looking for a well-reviewed, reasonably priced place around Karuizawa that allows dogs, has a dog run, includes breakfast, can accommodate our family of three, and is conveniently located for sightseeing. Just as the Reviews said, the staff were kind and attentive, there were plenty of items for our dog, we enjoyed a lovely Room, and the breakfast was truly delicious. We also had a great time sightseeing in Karuizawa—this villa is an excellent choice that exceeded its price, and we would love to stay again!

    It’s a pet-friendly Hotel.

    Thank you for your continued support. The reason I couldn’t give a 5 was that there were too few power outlets, which was inconvenient. It would have been helpful if extension cords were available to borrow. Other than that, there were no particular issues, and I thought it was good.

    The dog run is wonderful.

    One of our two dogs is a puppy, and we made the reservation to create memorable moments for its first trip. This hotel is neither luxurious nor a hospitality-focused accommodation, but it had everything necessary for traveling with dogs. The Christmas decorations were adorable. It was an excellent choice when focusing on sightseeing with our dog. That said, the dog run was absolutely wonderful. It was well-maintained, with beautiful trees spaced perfectly and moss creating an elegant garden atmosphere. If the weather had been warmer, we would have loved to let our dog play there more during our stay. Since this hotel does not provide dinner options, we did not include meals in our reservation; however, Karuizawa has many lovely cafes and restaurants open early in the morning, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all without meals included. Amenities were minimal, so bringing our own essentials turned out to be a good decision. Coincidentally, the day of our reservation aligned perfectly with peak autumn foliage season, making it a wonderful memory with our dog. We would definitely consider this hotel again for future trips to Karuizawa with our pet!

    Traveling with Friends

    Every year, we visit to see the autumn leaves with our dog and always stay at this accommodation. The staff are very kind, the place is clean, there are plenty of Christmas decorations, and we enjoy taking pictures of our dog and playing in the dog run. We are extremely satisfied. Thank you as always. We will visit again!

    Autumn Trip with Schnauzer

    The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Although compact, the property had a dog run, a café, and relaxing spaces where we could spend our time comfortably. There were plenty of art pieces displayed, giving it a stylish atmosphere. The Halloween decorations were perfect for taking Instagram-worthy photos. The Room was clean with a table and chairs provided, and the bathroom was spacious as well. Located in Naka-Karuizawa, it’s convenient—about a 20-minute walk to Harunire Terrace via mountain paths and about 15 minutes to Hoshino Tombo-no-Yu on foot. I would definitely love to stay here again next time!

    Unpleasant smell & poor service quality... a disappointing experience.

    I stayed in a room with a massage chair. I was looking forward to my trip to Karuizawa after a year, but... Unfortunately, the moment I entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell. It seemed like an attempt to mask odors with something strong, which made it worse. Additionally, despite mistakes on the accommodation's part, the staff barely apologized and instead acted as if it was our fault. This made our stay very uncomfortable afterward. Please note that amenities are minimal, including those for dogs! For reference, they don't even provide bottled water for guests—perhaps as a cost-cutting measure? This was surprising as I've never experienced this at any other travel destination before.

    A perfect stay at a dog-friendly accommodation!

    This is my repeat stay. I enjoyed taking photos at the stylish sofa spot in the hallway and letting my pet play in the pleasant dog run. I had a wonderful time and would love to visit again.

    The dog run with gra...

    The dog run with grass is fantastic! It's spacious and equipped with benches, paw-wiping stations, and water, which made our Maltese very happy. We chose the No Meals Included plan but enjoyed dining at the nearby Harunire Terrace. Since we opted for a smaller Room, the bathroom was a unit bath but was clean.

    This is an accommoda...

    This is an accommodation filled with fond memories, as I stayed here with my first dog in 2011 and 2013. This is my third visit, and the room with a massage chair remains very clean, while the spacious bathroom allowed for a relaxing time. The lawn in the dog run is well-maintained, making it a pleasant and dog-friendly accommodation. I would love to visit again when I come to Karuizawa.

    A Hotel Where You Can Comfortably Stay with Your Dog

    This is my second stay. The courtyard dog run is beautifully maintained with natural grass, and the room is very clean. There is no smell of dogs at all, and it’s a charming and cozy hotel. I would love to stay here again when visiting Karuizawa.

    With Your Beloved Dog

    It's great that there is a dog run since we are traveling with our dog. We were surprised to see a large monkey appear! (Photo: On the roof) It would be nice if shower caps or hairbands were included in the amenities. We appreciate being able to stay at an affordable price, so we hope there won't be any price increases.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Stayed here for my first visit back home after moving from Karuizawa a year ago. Chose this Hotel because I used to live in Sengataki West. The front desk staff were very kind and welcoming, and the Room was so clean that even our dog didn’t sniff around as much as usual. I did notice the toilet seat lid was missing, but overall, it was a comfortable stay.

    A Hotel with Excellent Customer Service, Welcoming Pets for a Comfortable Stay

    I stayed during Golden Week, and despite it being my second Reservation in five years, the manager remembered my previous visit, which showed excellent customer management. Last time, I stayed on the garden side with a dog run, but this time I was on the mountain side with a view of the back wall, which was a bit disappointing. However, the Room itself was comfortable. The bathtub was spacious and allowed for adding slightly hotter water—a convenient feature for families taking turns bathing that is rarely seen in other Hotels. Breakfast included delicious sausages from "Chozumeya" and tasty bread-based dishes, making for an enjoyable and relaxing start to the day. It had been a while since my last visit to Karuizawa, but this Hotel's proximity to Harunire Terrace made it easy to enjoy walks nearby. I look forward to visiting again!

    It is beautiful.

    Due to the limited number of rooms, we couldn't accommodate the entire family. It's appreciated that we can stay with pets. The facility is overall kept clean, and there is no noticeable odor. There is also a dog run, and the lounge was warm and comfortable.

    Dog-friendly

    It was a very nice Stays where you can enjoy and relax with your dog. We only had breakfast, but it was delicious. It is close to Hoshino Resort and has good access, so I want to visit again in the summer.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    We stayed with three family members and one dog. The room was neat and comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was delicious. However, since the system here does not allow leaving the dog alone in the room, we had to take it with us in the car and leave it inside when going for dinner or to a nearby Onsen, so it was good that it was winter.

    This is my third time as a repeater.

    Always comfortable, we use it whenever we go to the Karuizawa area. Anyway, we prioritize our dog (lol), and it's a place where our beloved pet can relax. Even after getting tired from shopping at the outlet, Old Karuizawa, or Harunire Terrace, it's conveniently located nearby. The dog run is safe and just the right size. In the Room, our dog tends to jump on the bed, but we can borrow a dedicated sheet for peace of mind. The breakfast is delicious, and the warm coffee is the best. I wish there was a simple dinner option as well. But above all, it's a place where we can relax and it's reasonably priced. Thank you for your continued hospitality. Thank you for taking care of us this time as well.

    The voices from the next room were completely audible.

    I was attracted by the price because it was a late-night check-in and an early-morning check-out, so I made a reservation. The lounge next to the front desk and the outdoor dog run had a nice atmosphere. Although I didn't use them, I thought it was nice that the shared areas were equipped with a household kitchen, microwave, and various other amenities. The room was small but clean and odor-free. However, I was surprised that I could hear the voices from the next room so clearly that I could understand their conversation. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here next time.

    A comfortable hotel for those traveling with dogs.

    Stayed with three adults and one small dog. Pet sheets cost 200 yen. The dog run was spacious. There was no pet toilet in the room. You need to bring your own. The location was great, close to Harunire and Tombo no Yu. The price was also reasonable. Satisfaction level is 4.
