    Great value for money.

    This is my second stay. The location is excellent—close to Kyu-Karuizawa and within a minute’s walk to SAWAMURA. The Room shows its age, but it is well cleaned. It’s convenient to have a kitchen, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a microwave available at all times. It was nice to take a break with coffee or tea using the electric kettle, and even have some simple soup. There is also manga available for loan, which my friend really enjoyed. There’s a vending machine on the first floor where you can also buy beer, which was great. I think Foron offers great value for the price.

    The location is excellent.

    I understand that accommodation rates may vary, but on the day we stayed, we were able to stay at a very reasonable price with breakfast included, which we really appreciated, and the friend traveling with me was surprised as well. In any case, the location is excellent. There are no women’s skincare amenities, no body-washing sponge, and no pajamas. Also, if you are particular about shampoo and conditioner, it’s safest to bring your own. There is a drink vending machine, but please note there is no convenience store nearby. The fact that pets are allowed also gives a warm impression. I used to have two dogs until a few years ago (they passed away from old age), so I was hoping I might get to meet a dog— but it seems none were staying that day. Even after checkout, they kept our luggage for us. The staff were kind as well. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The location is excellent.

    Its prime location near the Old Karuizawa Rotary makes bus access very convenient, and popular spots like Sawamura and Kawakami-an are just a short walk away. The location is excellent. The Room felt more like an apartment than a Hotel, but it was spacious enough. The Facility is a bit dated, but everything necessary was provided. After check-in, you can come and go freely without leaving your key at the front desk, which is convenient and easy to use. However, since the entrance to the Room is separate from the front desk, I had some concerns about security. At dawn, I woke up to someone rattling the door as if trying to open it. I assumed another guest or staff member had mistaken the Room; after I waited for a while, they seemed to leave. Nothing happened in the end, but it was unsettling. At that moment, I realized again that the layout might allow non-guests to enter as well. It’s a well-located Accommodation that works well for a Multiple Night Stay, but I think security needs improvement. If those concerns are addressed, I might consider staying again.

    This Accommodation is conveniently located in Kyu-Karuizawa, offering easy access and a safe, comfortable stay.

    I have stayed here about five times over the past few years. When visiting Karuizawa, I enjoy staying at this well-located Hotel as well as other Hotels I’m interested in, and exploring areas from Karuizawa to Komoro. The access is convenient, and it’s great that within Old Karuizawa you can easily walk to nearby places and shops you’re curious about. Also, you can buy your favorite ingredients and do simple cooking in your Room, or enjoy takeout. I am very satisfied with the clean, tidy Room. The staff also respond properly whenever something is needed. I would like to stay again.

    Excellent location and great value for money. This is the only place I need.

    This was my first stay with a dog. Maybe because it was the off-season, it was about 13,000 yen per night—cheap. Since it was inexpensive, I didn’t expect much in terms of quality, but in the end I had no complaints; if anything, the value for money really stands out at this price. The Room was clean with no odors—simple and nice. The location is also great, and it’s wonderful that there are many lovely restaurants nearby. With other hotels, especially at night, you often have to drive to get to restaurants, but from this Hotel everything is within walking distance. A recommended Hotel when you want to keep costs down.

    A Hotel in a great location with friendly, helpful staff.

    Above all, it’s very close to the Old Karuizawa Rotary, and the location is excellent. Even so, rooms on the villa area side are quiet with no noticeable noise. The staff are kind, and the breakfast—made with Asanoya bread and Chozumeya sausages—is delicious. Also, since the parking is an indoor garage on the first floor, you don’t have to worry about fallen leaves in autumn. The building feels old and inexpensive, and the interior can’t hide its age. There’s no elevator, so carrying luggage up to the third floor is a struggle. Pajamas aren’t provided either. However, I stayed here understanding all of that from a previous visit, so it wasn’t a problem—and at this price I have no complaints. Rather than an Hotel for enjoying your stay itself, it’s best suited as a base for dining out at restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. If you’re comfortable with that mindset, it’s an recommended Hotel.

    Old Karuizawa

    Close to popular spots in Old Karuizawa, this accommodation offers great value for staying with your dog. The essentials are well-provided. Since you need to carry your luggage up the stairs to the second floor, it might be a good idea to leave your dog cart at the front desk and pack compactly for your stay here. We arrived early, but they kindly allowed us into our room as it was already cleaned, which was very helpful. One concern was that even though we wore slippers inside the room, walking barefoot briefly made our feet noticeably dirty. It made me wonder if some international guests might not remove their shoes indoors. We didn’t have meals here and the bath wasn’t an onsen, so I’d give one less star in those areas—not out of dissatisfaction but simply as a note. Overall rating is four stars or more!

    It was excellent.

    Due to snowy weather, we decided to take the train instead of driving and changed our Hotel at the last minute. Although it was a design Hotel and we didn’t have high expectations, the room was very spacious and clean. The Hotel staff were extremely kind, offering free taxi arrangements and diapers for our dog. Even after check-out, they made coffee for us while waiting for the taxi to arrive—such outstanding hospitality! The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from the Old Karuizawa shopping street. We would love to stay here again.
