    Main Building

    It was disappointing that, aside from the miso soup and rice, only cold dishes were available and there was no explanation provided. In particular, I would like to see more effort put into the rice.

    Bath

    I personally love the Genroku-no-Yu bath, though it may not be to everyone’s taste. The route to the annex can be hard to find, so it’s best to ask the front desk for clear directions first.

    Best Value Accommodation

    It was a great Accommodation—affordable and full of charm. The Onsen was a bit small and not what I expected, but the meals were delicious, and the nighttime illumination was especially beautiful. The toilets were shared, but they were kept clean.

    The bath is amazing.

    We visited at our child’s request, as this Onsen Accommodation is said to have inspired an anime. With 500 liters of hot water flowing every minute, the free-flowing hot spring bath was excellent, and the water stayed warm on the body for a long time. The Room is in an old building that retains the atmosphere of a traditional therapeutic spa, which is charming, but the heating wasn’t very effective, so it was cold. I wasn’t expecting much from the meals, but it would have been even better if the rice had been tastier. If we hadn’t chosen a Plan that included grilled river fish and sashimi, it might have felt a bit disappointing. We came to enjoy the Onsen and the ambiance, so overall we were satisfied.

    My long-awaited stay came true.

    Charming building with delicious food in perfect portions, making for a very satisfying stay. It was inconvenient that the toilet was not in the Room, so I would like to choose a different Room next time.

    Perfect for celebrating anniversaries with your partner.

    I stayed at this accommodation as my boyfriend suggested it for our anniversary. The bath facilities included three types, which were very enjoyable! The main building is quite old, while the annex is newer and cleaner. The entrances and parking areas are separate for the main building and annex. It felt like the reception process and front desk cleanliness were divided based on the price paid, which was a bit disappointing. The toilet is shared as it’s not attached to the room, but it was clean! However, the hallway lighting was very dim, making movement quite scary. The walls are thin, so you can hear voices from inside rooms just by walking in the hallway. The futon had a strange smell and felt damp, so I couldn’t sleep comfortably. The meals offered a wide variety of options and were delicious! The illuminated scenery at night was also beautiful! It might have been coincidental, but there weren’t any small children around during my stay, so I could enjoy a quiet time!

    Time travel and experience the world of Spirited Away.

    It was a very nice accommodation. I was able to relax and unwind. I enjoyed the history tour, the bath, and the structure of the accommodation. I would like to visit again in a different season.

    The Largest Accommodation Ever

    The best accommodation I've ever stayed at! The exterior was just like an anime, and every step I took filled me with excitement and thrill. It was truly moving. The bath had a magical design that left my skin feeling smooth. The meals were delightful, offering a variety of dishes including pork miso soup and rice, all of which were satisfying. The staff greeted us warmly, making the experience even more pleasant. Next time, I want to visit with my entire family!

    Natural Floor Heating

    The accommodation staff were very kind. Their explanation was humorous, saying something like, "Please enjoy getting lost," and since we already knew there were many self-service aspects, it was not a problem at all. The room had natural floor heating, and even though it was March, we kept the window slightly open. The room we stayed in might be a bit warm during summer. The bath was excellent!

    An old yet clean and comfortable Ryokan.

    I had passed by several times but hesitated to stay. However, despite the old and small room, the interior was clean, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Onsen, though old in design, was well-maintained and in excellent condition. It felt like staying at a truly traditional Ryokan after a long time.

    To all the wonderful staff members,

    Due to a trouble, we arrived late. I felt sorry, but with a warm welcome greeting, courteous guidance, warm meals, nostalgic atmosphere, and a warm and clean room, I was able to spend time forgetting everything. I am filled with gratitude. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again.

    Thank you for your patronage.

    I stayed at the Ichibankan of the main building. Above all, the entire Ryokan felt like a theme park, and it was very interesting to feel the history. The bath at the Kashokan was the best. The meals were simple but sufficient. However, there was no explanation about the dressing for the vegetables at breakfast, so I didn't notice and ate them as they were. I thought it would be better if there was a little more explanation.

    The Ryokan

    A friend from overseas expressed a desire to stay at a Ryokan when visiting Japan. With Ryokans varying greatly in atmosphere, Onsen, location, and service quality depending on the price, I was unsure which would be best. This Ryokan, being a long-established one and also known as a model for "Spirited Away," seemed like a choice that would surely satisfy, so we decided to stay here. As a result, both my friend and I were extremely satisfied. The atmosphere reminiscent of the Meiji to Taisho era, including the currently popular "Demon Slayer" overseas, combined with high-quality Onsen, and the fact that it hasn't been widely discovered by overseas visitors yet, made the experience truly wonderful. However, when receiving explanations about the dishes from overseas trainees or staff, there were times when the speech was a bit fast and difficult to understand. While their attitude was not an issue at all, since enjoying such explanations is part of experiencing cultural differences, I thought it would have been better if it were a bit more polite.

    Feel the history

    The rooms in the main building do not have toilets, which is inconvenient, but I stay here to experience a time slip and feel the history rather than convenience.
